After the secretary observed the woman’s gaze, she barked an order, and her people immediately surrounded them. But Qian’s side was composed of Yu Minglang’s crew, who were all well-trained. As soon as they saw the other group approaching with sticks, they swiftly split into two groups: one firmly protecting Qian and the other, led by Dalong, facing them head-on with rolled-up sleeves and an angry expression.

"Say that again, who do you want to hit?"

"We’re here to beat up you frauds and scammers, no more nonsense, let’s fight!" The female secretary was even more aggressive than the woman she was with, directing her thugs to advance.

Dalong and his team were not intimidated by this.

"Who are you calling frauds and scammers? Brothers, charge with me, don’t be cowards!"

Seeing the two groups about to clash, Qian and the woman spoke simultaneously.

"Stop!"

"Halt!"

Leading each group, both women didn’t raise their voices but held undeniable authority.

The two groups immediately stopped and parted to make way for the two women.

Qian stepped forward, and so did the woman. The two walked towards each other. Dalong, unsure who these people were, worried his sister would be at a disadvantage and hurried to follow, but Qian waved him off, "No need, their target isn’t us."

Hearing this, the woman squinted slightly.

With less than half a meter between them, Qian extended her hand.

"Friend, if I’m not mistaken, we’re both here for the same thing."

The woman also extended her hand to shake Qian’s, and Qian was slightly surprised to feel calluses. Such a delicate-looking woman had hands that seemed accustomed to hard labor on a construction site.

"My people mistook you for that scammer inside," the woman’s voice was pleasant, and she was indeed very attractive.

For some unknown reason, Qian immediately felt a sense of goodwill towards this woman upon seeing her.

"My mom was scammed by this person, who cursed my unborn child, saying it wasn’t right," Qian began, and the woman burst into laughter.

"This scammer told my husband’s mother I was a promiscuous disaster of nine lifetimes."

The two women exchanged a glance and laughed together.

These were allies, both here to cause trouble.

"I’m Qian," Qian said, extending her hand.

"My nickname’s Eighty-Two, though everyone calls me Sister Eight."

Eight? Dalong, standing nearby, nearly burst into laughter. What kind of name was that?

Qian wasn’t puzzled at all. In recent years, parents had given strange names based on dates—Eighty-Two, Six-One, Five-One, named after the day they were born, very arbitrary. Some were even called Mid-Autumn or Dragon Boat Festival and such. The woman mentioned it was her nickname, not her formal name.

The woman’s secretary approached, "Boss, this is——?"

"Xue, you made a mistake." Although the woman didn’t say much, her words carried weight. Upon hearing this, the secretary hurriedly apologized to Qian.

"I’m sorry, seeing so many people surrounding you, I thought you were hired goons by the scammer, my apologies, my apologies!" This secretary was quick-witted. Noticing her boss getting along well with Qian, she instantly changed her tone and pulled a business card from her pocket to hand to Qian.

"Sis, this is our company’s business card. If you need moving services in the future, look us up for a discount. We work efficiently and quickly, and we’re your best choice!"

A smooth opportunity for a little advertisement, this secretary was truly entertaining.

Only then did Qian understand, Eighty-Two had calluses on her hands because she ran a moving company, explaining why she could bring so many men over to cause trouble.

Qian couldn’t help but admire this woman; someone so beautiful, yet willing to do tough, unwanted jobs, clearly a person with strong character. Qian liked self-reliant women like this. Eighty-Two, observing Qian, who wore glasses and had an academic air, felt admiration, having not received much formal education and having had a tough journey herself, she asked another question.

"I thought you were a student at first, but your belly is even bigger than mine."

Qian then noticed herself, through the loose-fitting sportswear Eighty-Two wore, a slightly protruding belly was faintly visible.

This revelation showed they had quite a bond; both were pregnant women here to confront the scammer. Realizing this, Eighty-Two’s anger wasn’t surprising; the fortune-teller likely convinced her mother-in-law that she was promiscuous, implying the unborn child was questionable. Naturally, she’d be angry enough to cause a scene.

It was an inexplicable bond; the two exchanged private phone numbers, and the woman asked Qian.

"Do you want me to go first, or would you prefer to take the lead in smashing the place?"

Qian thought for a moment, "You first, please. After you’ve had your go, I’ll follow."

Eighty-Two nodded, and her assertive secretary shouted energetically, "Brothers, charge in, smash that old conman’s place, and let off steam for the boss!"

The group charged inside, and Dalong asked Qian.

"Sis, why’d you give her your number?"

Qian put her phone away and glanced at him.

"She gave me her number; why shouldn’t I give her mine?"

"It just feels a bit odd; you rarely talk to strangers."

"But I find her likable; maybe our brainwaves match, just pleasing to the eye."

Dalong scratched his head, hesitating, "Sis, you let her go first, what about our people?"

Holding back, eager to support his sister, now his sister had let someone else go first. By the time they went in, much of the fight would be over, and the old scammer would likely be barely conscious—not satisfying at all.

"Good things happen to the generous." Though the scammer cursed Qian’s child, claiming it was possessed, Eighty-Two had it worse; she was labeled a promiscuous disaster with an illegitimate child. Comparatively, Qian felt it was better to let her go first.

Qian looked around the layout. This was an older building in Q City, the red brick exterior indicating its age. These older buildings were typically shorter, where the height of the third floor matched the second floor of standard buildings. Qian recalled her mother’s mention of the scammer’s place on the third floor. She surveyed the area and told Dalong.

"Take a few people to block the side of the building, and if the scammer tries to jump down to escape, drag him back for me!"

Dalong nodded and left with a few men.

Qian stood at the entrance, hearing a commotion from upstairs. These buildings had poor sound insulation, allowing her to hear everything from the open stairwell windows.

"Old scammer, get out here now! Are you the one badmouthing our boss?" The secretary’s voice was sharp and shrill. "Everyone, stop lining up; he’s just a fraud!"

Qian chuckled to herself. Having such a loudmouth secretary had its amusement. Despite Eighty-Two just being a small moving company’s boss, her presence was unmistakable, clearly well-loved by her employees.

Before long, people started coming downstairs one by one—they were customers seeking the scammer’s services but were driven out by the group upstairs. Once downstairs, they lingered to watch the spectacle from below.

An older lady noticed Qian standing there and asked, "Girl, do you know what’s happening up there?"
