Chapter 238: The Exchange Meeting Begins
Lu Yunque glanced at the person Yun Zijin mentioned, then at the research project listed after his name. He truly had to marvel at Yun Zijin’s sharp eye.
"Him? Of course, that’s possible. But..." Lu Yunque paused before continuing, "Mr. Tang is pretty set in his ways. It’ll be difficult to persuade him to put in a good word for you."
If it were up to him, Lu Yunque wouldn’t have chosen Tang Zhaosong.
"Alright, I get it. If he doesn’t work out, I’ll just look for someone else."
After all, Yun Zijin only had this one requirement. She would invest in whoever could meet it. She was just that headstrong.

Li Yuexing’s voice preceded him into the room.
Yun Zijin, a little embarrassed, scooted slightly to the side to put some distance between herself and Lu Yunque.
Lu Yunque looked at Yun Zijin, not understanding her reaction.
"Oho~ Let’s see what you two are up to."
Li Yuexing strode in, saw Lu Yunque looking at Yun Zijin, and immediately interrupted them making eyes at each other.
Lu Yunque withdrew his gaze and shot Li Yuexing a warning look.
"I really never expected you two would be the ones to get together."
Fu Ze and Sheng Hao walked in as well. When they saw Lu Yunque inching closer to Yun Zijin, they could barely watch.
Who would have thought that between the two of them, the lovesick one would be the legendary, decisive, and ruthless President Xiao Lu.
"How on earth did you two get together? I’m honestly really curious."
Fu Ze’s gaze drifted between Lu Yunque and Yun Zijin. This development was completely outside his expectations.
"Not everyone is lucky enough to have a dependable grandmother like I do."
Lu Yunque knew all too well what kind of people Li Yuexing’s and the others’ grandmothers were.
They were either constantly mooching off them, playing favorites with their uncles, or even demanding they arrange management positions for their cousins.
Among the four of them, only Lu Yunque’s grandmother was normal.
Lu Yunque’s single sentence shut the other three right up.
"What’s going on?"
After all, Yun Zijin hadn’t known them for long and they rarely had a chance to meet, so she wasn’t very clear on the family situations of Fu Ze and the other two.

’As for the ring, the custom one just hasn’t arrived yet. What am I supposed to do about it?’

Li Yuexing gave Lu Yunque a thumbs-up. As expected of President Xiao Lu, his wealth was on another level.
The five of them hung out in Lu Yunque’s private lounge until 4:50 PM. They straightened their clothes before heading out.
The five of them appearing together caused quite a stir, even if they weren’t the main attractions of the conference.

But who could have known that Lu Yunque had requested this blind date himself, and that the choice of partner was already set in stone.
It had to be Yun Zijin; no one else would have stood a chance.
Despite Li Yuexing’s warning, Yun Zijin remained unfazed.
’Whoever starts the trouble can be the one to solve it.’ Yun Zijin had no intention of taking on such burdens herself.
Lu Yunque reassuringly patted the hand Yun Zijin had linked through his arm. "Don’t worry about it."
After speaking, Lu Yunque shot a subtle glance at Li Yuexing. ’That guy just loves to stir the pot. Just wait until he finds a girl he likes, I’ll see how I get back at him then!’
In his mind, Lu Yunque put a huge black mark next to Li Yuexing’s name, but on the surface, he remained completely expressionless.
"Something’s off with you today."
Sheng Hao felt as if Li Yuexing was deliberately antagonizing Lu Yunque today.

Li Yuexing immediately grew enthusiastic when it came to Yun Zijin’s business.
Fu Ze and Sheng Hao exchanged a look, each seeing the same disbelief in the other’s eyes.
’This Old Li, he can’t be that clueless, can he?!’
"It’s fine. I haven’t seen anyone yet."
Yun Zijin’s targets were among the top ten on the list, but a list was just a list; there was always a chance they wouldn’t show up.

"No problem. If you need help, just say the word. I’ll do everything I can."
"Whatever Zijin needs, my help is enough. You’re not getting any younger. Hurry up and find someone to settle down with! In another two years, you’ll be over the hill."
Lu Yunque knew Li Yuexing so well, there was no way he couldn’t see what was going on. Telling him to hurry up and find someone was a clear warning: don’t even think about the impossible.
"What’s the rush? They say a man should be established by thirty. I’m only twenty-six, so I’m not in a hurry."
Li Yuexing made an excuse for not having a girlfriend.
Yun Zijin, however, paid no attention to the verbal sparring between Lu Yunque and Li Yuexing. Spotting her target, she immediately stood up to head over.
Even while trading barbs with Li Yuexing, Lu Yunque had been keeping part of his attention on Yun Zijin.
When he saw her get up, he immediately ignored Li Yuexing and rose to his feet as well.
