Chapter 311: A Businessman’s Perspective
Fu Ze took a sip as told, and his eyes immediately lit up.
"It really is special. If you ask me, this price is a little low."
If Fu Ze had the recipe, he would do far more than simply open a milk tea shop.
Qin Sitong was very happy to get Fu Ze’s approval.
"This price is already quite high. Besides, we aren’t going for the high-end market."
The prices at Wangyou Milk Tea Shop were a bit higher than other shops, but aside from the Wangyou Milk Tea, none of the other items were priced so outrageously.
"It’s your recipe, so how you sell it is ultimately your decision. I’m just offering a suggestion."
Fu Ze was looking at it from a businessman’s perspective. Neither Qin Sitong nor Yun Zijin were business-minded, so of course, they weren’t thinking about how to leverage the recipe to its full potential and maximize their profits.
Qin Sitong had perfected the process by now, and she quickly finished preparing the six cups of Wangyou Milk Tea.
Fu Ze stepped forward and took the milk tea himself. Only after he walked out of the shop did he distribute the drinks to his driver and bodyguards.
Qin Sitong had already finished making the 200 daily servings of Wangyou Milk Tea and could leave work at any time. So, Yun Zijin grabbed her and pulled her along to go shopping.
Fu Ze had never gone shopping with women before, but after Yun Zijin’s invitation, he instinctively followed them.
This time, however, Yun Zijin didn’t take Qin Sitong to Jinsheng Mall. Instead, she led her to Wanyuan Square.
This was the Su Family’s mall, and Su Mengyao had opened a shop here using the Rose Essential Oil formula Yun Zijin had given her.
Thanks to Huan Yan Fang, the recent foot traffic at Wanyuan Square was starting to rival that of Jinsheng Mall.
"Why are we here? I thought you’d be supporting your man’s enterprise."
Fu Ze was a little surprised to see they were at Wanyuan Square, and he couldn’t help but make a teasing comment.
"This is the Su Family’s business, and Su Mengyao is my friend. Between my boyfriend and my friend, I have to share the love, of course."
Yun Zijin didn’t see anything wrong with it. When it came to shopping, she went wherever she pleased.
’Just because Lu Yunque is her boyfriend, does that mean she can only shop at Lu Family-owned malls from now on?’
If that were the case, Yun Zijin would seriously consider becoming single again.
However, Fu Ze was only making a casual remark and had no intention of criticizing Yun Zijin.
"Since we’re here anyway, why don’t we go take a look at Huan Yan Fang?"
Qin Sitong had only been to Huan Yan Fang once, on its opening day, and hadn’t come back since.
Qin Sitong felt a little embarrassed thinking about it.
"Sure, let’s go." The two women walked forward arm-in-arm, with Fu Ze silently following behind.
"Huh? Why does it look like Huan Yan Fang is empty?"
Qin Sitong turned and saw that there was indeed no one moving about inside Huan Yan Fang, which she found odd.
Yun Zijin also glanced toward Huan Yan Fang before pulling Qin Sitong into the store.
"I’m sorry, but we’re already sold out of the Rose Essential Oil for today. If you’d like to buy some, you could try coming a bit earlier tomorrow."
The two of them had barely stepped through the doors of Huan Yan Fang when someone started explaining.
"Sold out?"
Qin Sitong asked reflexively.
"Yes, we limit sales at Huan Yan Fang to 100 bottles a day. Since you missed out today, you can try again tomorrow. The store opens at 9 AM."
The sales associate thoughtfully informed them of Huan Yan Fang’s business hours.
"Then why are you all still here if you’ve sold out?"
’They were out of stock, yet they were all still standing around in the shop. Every time a customer came in, they had to repeat that everything was sold out. It must be awkward for the employees and the customers alike.’
"The boss never said we could leave early, so we stay until our shift ends."
The work at Huan Yan Fang was simple and relaxed, so none of the employees thought anything was wrong with the situation.
After all, the employment contracts they signed stipulated their work hours. They couldn’t just shorten their shifts on their own simply because the products sold out quickly.
Yun Zijin, however, frowned slightly upon hearing the employees’ explanation.
"How long has this been going on?"
Yun Zijin asked another question, but this time the store manager and employees frowned, wondering why she was asking about this.
After all, Yun Zijin hadn’t visited in a long time, and she hadn’t revealed her identity as one of the bosses during the ribbon-cutting ceremony. As a result, the employees didn’t recognize her.
"In what capacity are you asking this question?"
The store manager frowned slightly, feeling that Yun Zijin’s question was verging on a matter of internal business.
"My name is Yun Zijin. I’m not sure if your Boss Su has mentioned me to you."
"Oh, it’s Boss Yun! My apologies. You rarely visit, so it was my oversight not to recognize you."
Yun Zijin nodded, indicating that she didn’t blame them.
"Since you’re sold out, there’s no sense in you all just standing around. You can all head home for the day.
This will be the new rule from now on. Once you’re sold out, you can all leave early. It won’t affect your attendance bonuses. I’ll clear it with your Boss Su.
Of course, if I discover anyone leaving early before you’re actually sold out, there will be penalties."
The manager’s and employees’ eyes lit up at Yun Zijin’s words. Nothing could be better than being able to go home early.
The Rose Essential Oil sold out almost every morning. This meant they would now have a free afternoon every day.
’They never thought Boss Yun would be so understanding.’
Meanwhile, Fu Ze raised an eyebrow when he heard what Yun Zijin said.
’This was the first time he’d seen such a kind-hearted boss, one who let employees go home just because they were sold out.’
’If it were him, he’d definitely find other tasks for the employees.’
’After all, he was paying them for their time. If employees worked fewer hours, he’d be losing money.’
’Still, this was Yun Zijin’s shop. As an outsider, it wasn’t his place to comment.’
With Yun Zijin’s approval, the manager and staff at Huan Yan Fang began packing up to go home.
Yun Zijin then took Qin Sitong to continue their shopping elsewhere.
As they passed a men’s clothing store, Qin Sitong’s eyes lit up at the sight of an outfit on a mannequin in the display window.
"Zijin, I want to go in and take a look."
’She was a young woman of some means now, with a decent amount of savings. Qin Sitong wanted to buy some gifts for her family.’
Fu Ze’s gaze deepened slightly when he saw Qin Sitong’s interest in menswear.
Yun Zijin shot Fu Ze a subtle glance before linking arms with Qin Sitong and heading into the store.
’If she found anything suitable, she could buy something for Lu Yunque.’
"Welcome!"
Neither Yun Zijin nor Qin Sitong looked the least bit awkward. As Yun Zijin linked arms with Qin Sitong, the watch on her wrist became visible.
An observant sales associate had already recognized it: a Patek Philippe.
"Hello, I’d like to see the shirt on the mannequin in the window over there."
’The moment Qin Sitong saw that shirt, she thought it would be perfect for her brother.’
’To be fair, she’d have to buy gifts for her parents, too.’
"Of course, miss. Please wait a moment."
The sales associate knew exactly which shirt Qin Sitong meant.
He obviously couldn’t take the one off the mannequin, so he went to a rack in the store and unerringly pulled out an identical one.
