Chapter 461 - 434: The Porter
Of course. The two of them were thinking along the same lines. Fang Chenyi planned to find some Bone Powder to fool Poseidon Robton.
And wasn't Poseidon Robton trying to swindle Fang Chenyi just the same?
Within the Poseidon Clan, Poseidon Robton was merely a second son. Even if he managed to obtain the Sea God's Relic, his chances of securing the right of succession weren't particularly high.
He didn't even have a sixty percent chance. But that didn't stop him from selling Fang Chenyi a pipe dream. 'Who knows what the future holds? What matters is getting the Sea God's Relic in my hands right now. If I don't secure the right of succession later, there's nothing Fang Chenyi can do about it.'
After Fang Chenyi left, Liu Yishou and his men moved in and tied up Poseidon Robton.
Although their captive was injured, his combat strength was not to be underestimated—it was far beyond their own.
It had to be said that old Piersen was a ruthless one. Knowing how powerful Poseidon Robton was, he had someone fetch an iron chain and used it to bind him tightly.
As for Poseidon Robton's henchmen, if even their boss was getting this treatment, there was no way they were escaping.
After being disarmed, they were all trussed up as well. Their treatment was slightly better than Poseidon Robton's, though. They were only bound with ordinary rope.
Facing the traitor Billson, Poseidon Robton said nothing. He didn't even spare him a glance before following Liu Yishou toward the camp.
Never mind Poseidon Robton and his men. Let's turn our attention back to Fang Chenyi.
He walked straight to the stone hall alone. This time, he didn't take the zipline railcar again.
Instead, he slipped directly through the stone opening above the door.
When he reached the stone gate again and set foot on the slope, he sprinted down as if running on flat ground.
A distance of over 1,000 meters. This time, Fang Chenyi reached the bottom in just a few breaths.
He took a deep breath. For the first time, Fang Chenyi felt how wonderful it was to possess such power.
He looked down at the thick layer of Bone Powder on the ground, a wry smile touching his lips. 'Sigh. There's so much of it. This is going to take forever.'
He sighed, but his hands didn't stop moving.
He reached into his jacket, pulled out the small leather pouch, and took out the woven bag from inside it.
He reached into the bag again and pulled out dozens of smaller, empty woven bags.
Of course, this large woven bag was no ordinary bag.
The dozens of smaller bags were just ordinary sacks for carrying things.
With everything ready, Fang Chenyi began his miserable new career as a manual laborer.
One bag, two bags, three bags, five bags, ten bags...
An hour later, a large stack of woven bags filled with Bone Powder stood beside Fang Chenyi.
After filling the last empty bag, Fang Chenyi let out a long sigh.
He tossed his shovel aside and plopped down on the pile of bags filled with Bone Powder.
Although his body didn't feel the slightest bit tired, Fang Chenyi found the repetitive work incredibly tedious.
After resting for a moment, he began using a mechanical grabber to toss the sacks, one by one, into the storage space of his special woven bag.
This part, at least, was quick. In just a few minutes, he had tossed them all into the bag's storage space.
He checked his bag's storage space and found it was filled to the brim. With no other choice, Fang Chenyi went straight back to the surface.
He flew the helicopter back to the cruise ship, returned to his private area, found an empty, unused room, and took the sacks of Bone Powder out of the bag's storage space one by one.
After he finished, he returned to the stone hall and began a new round of his manual labor career.
And so it went: one trip, two trips, three trips.
Time ticked by, and Fang Chenyi kept flying back and forth between the stone hall and the cruise ship.
Watching the helicopter fly to the cruise ship and then return moments later, all the crew members and workers looked up at the sky, puzzled.
He kept busy until evening, by which time Fang Chenyi had finally cleared out most of the Bone Powder in the stone hall.
Looking at the now-empty stone hall, Fang Chenyi nodded in satisfaction. 'Damn it. Finally finished.'
He dusted the Bone Powder from his hands, went straight back to the surface, and once again flew the helicopter back to the cruise ship.
In the room used to store the Bone Powder, the sacks were now piled nearly to the ceiling.
If a small handful of Bone Powder could transform a person's body, then this entire roomful was enough for tens of thousands of people.
Of course, Fang Chenyi had no intention of supporting an army of tens of thousands. After all, he lived in Huaxia, not some chaotic foreign nation.
He picked up a radio and ordered someone to find him a wooden box.
A few moments later, a female attendant delivered an exquisite, quaint little wooden box. According to her, the box was supposedly used for storing antiques and had a very aged look to it.
Opening the box, Fang Chenyi immediately removed the yellow satin lining inside.
Leaving just the bare box, he went back into the room with the Bone Powder, reached into one of the sacks, and put two handfuls of the powder into the box.
After gently shaking it a couple of times to spread the powder evenly inside, Fang Chenyi nodded in satisfaction.
He then strode back onto the flight deck and, under everyone's watchful gaze, flew over to the mining site once more.
This time, however, he didn't go to the stone hall, but landed directly inside the camp.
"Brother Fang, Poseidon Robton's injuries have been treated. We have him locked in a room now."
Liu Yishou hurried over to greet him as soon as he stepped off the helicopter, saying this to Fang Chenyi.
Fang Chenyi nodded upon hearing this, then followed Liu Yishou toward the room.
As they pushed open the door and went inside, the sharp-eyed Poseidon Robton immediately spotted the wooden box in Fang Chenyi's hands.
His eyes instantly lit up, and he hurriedly asked, "My dearest friend, could that be the Sea God's Relic?"
Fang Chenyi heard Poseidon Robton's anxious words the moment he stepped through the door.
But when Fang Chenyi got a clear look at the man, he was stunned for a moment, then found the sight rather amusing.
'Liu Yishou and his men really were something else. Who knows whose idea it was to tie him up with iron chains, but considering it was for safety, their actions were justifiable.'
Seeing the smile playing on Fang Chenyi's lips, Liu Yishou chuckled sheepishly. "Heh heh... well, we had no choice. We don't have your kind of skills, after all."
