’Call for support from Yishou? Aren’t all our guys here already? What’s the point of calling Liu Yishou? Is he going to fly the helicopter over?’

’But even though the helicopter is an Apache, it doesn’t have any weapon systems.’

While Fang Chenyi was still confused, Qi Xiaotian had already connected the call with Liu Yishou.

Actually, it was less that Qi Xiaotian contacted Liu Yishou and more that Liu Yishou heard what Qi Xiaotian said and spoke up first.

After all, their earpieces were all interconnected. It could be said that Liu Yishou was privy to every move they made.

So, upon hearing Qi Xiaotian say they were in trouble, Liu Yishou immediately said he’d be there right away.

Hearing Liu Yishou’s reply in his earpiece, Qi Xiaotian just said, "Hurry up," and then went silent.

He had to focus his attention on the RPGs that kept popping up.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

With another series of RPG explosions, Fang Chenyi’s vehicle was hit again. At the same time, Qi Xiaotian finally locked onto the guy who kept changing positions.

He slammed his hand down on the red button. Simultaneously, a massive flame erupted from the arm-thick iron pipe on the vehicle’s body.

RAT-TAT-TAT-TAT-TAT!

Just then, the roar of helicopter rotors suddenly filled the sky. Immediately after, a stream of fire spewed out from beneath the helicopter.

In just an instant, it raked the enemy’s position with a sweeping barrage.

A moment later, the helicopter’s stream of fire ceased.

And along with it, so did the previously dense gunfire from the other side.

"Haha, how about that, Xiaotian? When it’s crunch time, you still have to rely on me. All taken care of."

After the other side went silent, Liu Yishou’s hearty laughter came through everyone’s earpieces.

But Qi Xiaotian just curled his lip in response.

"You’ve really got some nerve. Showing off over a one-sided, air-to-ground slaughter. Let me tell you, I was just smashing heads with a cannon. You’ve still got a long way to go."

To be fair, although Liu Yishou was technically Qi Xiaotian’s subordinate, much like Fang Chenyi’s relationship with Qi Xiaotian, they also shared a deep brotherly bond. Outside of being absolutely meticulous when making decisions, they spent most of their time just shooting the shit with each other.

Now that the enemies outside were temporarily dealt with, Fang Chenyi finally turned to Qi Xiaotian with a questioning look.

"You, punk. Don’t you have something to say?"

Seeing his boss’s unfriendly gaze, Qi Xiaotian’s heart skipped a beat. He quickly put on a fawning smile and said:

"Hehe, Boss, it’s not like I hid it from you. I told you before that I saw some ’good stuff’ and just brought it back with me. You didn’t say anything then, so you can’t hold it against me now."

Fang Chenyi glared at him irritably. "Bullshit! Weren’t you talking about these three vehicles? How did the Apache get modified too?"

Qi Xiaotian gave an embarrassed laugh and muttered under his breath:

’Boss, you’re framing me. I just said there was ’good stuff,’ I never said the good stuff was *only* these three vehicles...’

"What are you muttering about? Speak up!"

At Fang Chenyi’s words, Qi Xiaotian, who had been hanging his head, instinctively snapped his head up and shouted:

"Reporting, Brother Fang! I was saying, all that stuff on the helicopter was put there by that punk Liu Yishou!"

The moment he said that, Liu Yishou, who was up in the Apache chuckling at the conversation on his earpiece, couldn’t help but flinch. His finger nearly sent a burst of bullets into Qi Xiaotian’s vehicle.

’Boss, that’s so not cool! You can’t just throw me under the bus like that!’

’Yeah, I’m the one who installed this stuff on the chopper, but you’re the one who bought it!’

"Don’t give me that crap. Yishou is way more honest than you. Alright, I’ll let it slide this time. I’m docking half a month of your pay! Don’t let it happen again!"

Hearing Fang Chenyi’s words, Liu Yishou, still in the sky, broke into a grin. He couldn’t help but feel a wave of smugness. ’Brother Fang is truly wise! Docking half a month of your pay, hehe, that’s great!’

But before he could finish celebrating, Fang Chenyi’s irritated voice came through the earpiece again:

"And you too, Yishou. Don’t think I don’t know you two are cut from the same cloth. You’re getting half a month’s pay docked as well!"

At these words, Liu Yishou’s face fell. At the same time, Qi Xiaotian, who had been speechless, instantly brightened up and spoke cheerfully to Liu Yishou over the comms:

"Haha, I told you Brother Fang’s eyes are sharp! You’re just a sneaky little bastard. Ah well, you got dragged down with me this time. Forget it, forget it. I’ll be the bigger man and won’t hold it against you. Alright, we’re charging in now. If any slip through the net, you call ’em out for me."

"You got it. Just charge ahead, don’t worry about a thing. If even one more bullet hits your vehicles, I’ll wash your socks for a month, Boss. On the flip side, if nothing hits you, how about you wash my socks for a month?"

Qi Xiaotian was utterly disdainful of Liu Yishou’s confidence. As if trying to make Liu Yishou lose the bet, the guy really played dirty for the next part.

Under Qi Xiaotian’s command, the vehicle drove straight over the SUVs in front of them.

Not only that, but apparently feeling the driver wasn’t doing a good enough job, Qi Xiaotian actually had him switch out and took the driver’s seat himself.

What followed was a series of flashy maneuvers, swerving and fishtailing all over the place.

Unfortunately for him, from beginning to end, all the way to the row of sheet-metal shacks at the summit where the mine director was, they didn’t encounter a single person who opened fire.

Qi Xiaotian was quite unhappy about this.

From a distance, they saw a foreigner in gold-rimmed glasses standing in front of the shacks, welcoming them with a faint smile.

Beside him stood no fewer than fifty men, though all of them were empty-handed.

Not only that, but in an open area a few hundred meters away, all sorts of weapons were laid out in dense rows.

Fang Chenyi naturally understood the purpose of this gesture. They were demonstrating that they held no hostile intent.

It was obvious without asking. The commotion from earlier must have alerted the people here. Realizing they had no chance of victory, they had chosen to surrender.

Of course, whether it was a genuine surrender remained to be seen.

Perhaps they wouldn’t dare make a move while facing the military deterrence of three amphibious armored vehicles and a fully-loaded Apache, but there would surely be no shortage of dirty tricks later on.

Of course, Fang Chenyi wasn’t worried about any of that. After all, he still had his most powerful trump card yet to play.
