Chapter 747: Searching for Sun Essence Gold
Chen Shixiang hesitated for a moment and said, "But I’m used to living here. Suddenly asking me to move out, I really feel uncomfortable."
"Are you reluctant to move because of the place, or is it because of someone?"
Yang Cheng casually asked, and Chen Shixiang’s eyes suddenly widened.
He hastily defended himself, "What nonsense are you talking! Though this house is rundown, I’ve lived here for a long time, so of course I’ve developed feelings for it. It’s not about anyone in particular."
Yang Cheng felt puzzled; Master Chen’s reaction seemed a bit too intense, suggesting that the more he denies, the more it’s true!
He thought carefully for a while and had a suspicion in his mind, tentatively asking, "Master Chen, are you reluctant to leave the elderly neighbor lady? Actually, it’s quite simple — I’ll rent a big house and let her move in too; this house is too shabby, and it’s not safe for her to live here."
Before Chen Shixiang could admit it, Yang Cheng had already thought out practical measures for him, so he was about to argue but held back.
"It’s not that I’m unwilling to leave her. It’s just seeing her all alone is too pitiful. When I was here, we could at least chat; if I move, and she falls ill, there will be no one to care for her."
Chen Shixiang sighed as he spoke.
"I know you’re kind-hearted and can’t bear to see her suffer. Anyway, I’m going to rent a house with a big courtyard; there’ll definitely be plenty of rooms, so it’s no trouble accommodating one more person."
Yang Cheng followed his words, which exactly touched Chen Shixiang’s heart.
In theory, Master Chen creating the Moon Golden Wheel could fetch a crafting fee of billions, but he wouldn’t take money, forcing Yang Cheng to meet all his requests.
"Thank you, Xiao Yang, then please arrange it for me; anyway, the furnace has been destroyed, and staying here makes no sense."
"Okay, I’ll have Lin Wen call to make arrangements."
Yang Cheng nodded, walked out of the smelting room, and went to tell Kong Lingwen.
As he turned around, Chen Shixiang went to the neighbor’s house, and shortly after, the elderly lady’s stubborn voice came from there: "I won’t go! I don’t need your pity!"
"Chunxiang, why are you so stubborn! This house could be torn down any day, and if I move, you’ll be the only one on this floor left. What if you fall ill? There will be no one to care for you."
Chen Shixiang patiently persuaded, but Wu Chunxiang turned around and wiped her tears.
Yang Cheng and Kong Lingwen leaned over and could see the situation inside through the window crevice.
The two gray-haired elders were arguing, but seeing Wu Chunxiang cry, Chen Shixiang immediately softened his attitude and gently comforted her.
Having dated many girlfriends, Yang Cheng could tell they had feelings for each other, maybe not romantic love, but rather a bond formed over years as old neighbors wanting to support each other.
"That’s so touching. If I grow old, will you still spoil me like this?"
Kong Lingwen, tearful, looked up at Yang Cheng.
"Even if you become a toothless old lady, I’ll treat you like an esteemed aunt."
Yang Cheng answered sincerely, making Kong Lingwen burst into laughter.
"Who’s there!"
Hearing a noise, Chen Shixiang quickly rushed out and saw the two bent over, spying — his face turned green.
They both gave an awkward smile, and Kong Lingwen quickly said, "Master Chen, we have a manor in the suburbs with lots of space; no one’s living there currently, and I’ll send someone over to help you move later."
"Your place is pretty remote; I’m worried they might not find it, so let’s go downstairs to meet them."
Yang Cheng quickly added, grabbing Kong Lingwen’s hand as they hurried downstairs.
"Two little rascals!"
Chen Shixiang snorted coldly, turned to Wu Chunxiang and said, "Pack your luggage; we’re moving shortly."
In less than half an hour, a medium-sized truck drove into the old residential area, and a group of people went upstairs and moved all of Chen Shixiang’s belongings.
The old neighbors heard the commotion and came out to watch, curiously asking, "Old Chen, are you moving out?"
"Yes! My disciple is so filial, thinking it’s not safe for me here, and arranged a house for me to stay in."
Chen Shixiang chuckled, pointing at Yang Cheng beside him.
Though Yang Cheng hadn’t agreed to be his disciple, he didn’t mind the joke.
People around looked on with envy, and Yang Cheng didn’t refute him since he had no time to learn weapon forging.
"Eh? Why is Wu Chunxiang also going?"
Everyone was surprised to see Wu Chunxiang carrying a small bundle.
"It’s none of your business; worry about your own affairs!"
The little old lady had a fiery temper, rolled her eyes, and turned around to leave.
Chen Shixiang grinned; he liked her fiery spirit — if there was no one to quarrel in his ear one day, he wouldn’t be used to it.
"Old Chen, get on the car; stop wasting words with them."
Wu Chunxiang waved him over, and he scampered over happily.
Once everyone was in the car, Yang Cheng drove out first, with the truck following closely, kicking up a cloud of dust.
"Master Chen, you previously mentioned the lack of materials for forging the Sun Golden Wheel. Tell me what’s missing, and I’ll try to find them."
Yang Cheng said, as he couldn’t rely on an old guy like Master Chen to go material-hunting, which might take forever.
"The Moon Golden Wheel is yin-affiliated, needing Thousand-Year Cold Iron, while the Sun Golden Wheel is yang-affiliated and requires Sun Essence Gold. These materials are as scarce as Thousand-Year Cold Iron, not easy to find, and can’t be rushed."
Chen Shixiang said with a calm demeanor.
"But I’m anxious! Someone’s trying to kill me, and if I don’t get the Sun Golden Wheel soon, I might lose my life."
Yang Cheng deliberately exaggerated to give Chen Shixiang some sense of urgency.
"Or why don’t you tell me where to find Sun Essence Gold, and I’ll go look. Maybe I’ll get lucky."
"To find this stuff, head west to the most scorching regions; it’s inherently rare, looking for it now is like searching for a needle in a haystack. If you desperately need it, you can only ask some collectors."
Chen Shixiang also had no solution; the Thousand-Year Cold Iron was his treasured collection, and it’d be impossible to find in his current status.
Originally, he planned to try heading to western cities later; since Yang Cheng wasn’t tight-fisted, he could treat it as tourism.
But now Yang Cheng was in a hurry, and he really had no way to help.
Yang Cheng’s heart sank, but suddenly remembered someone — Elder Qin, a relic expert he met back in Peach Blossom County.
Though the elderly man currently lived in Peach Blossom County, in his youth he traveled across the country, knowing many relic experts and enthusiasts.
Before long, the car arrived at the suburban manor. After getting out, Yang Cheng promptly dialed Elder Qin’s number.
"Elder Qin, it’s Yang Cheng; I have a favor to ask of you."
