Scholar’s Advanced Technological System

Chapter 1218: The Faith of Physics

This is probably the nearest time an ark has died.

This statement may be somewhat ambiguous, or in a different way… this is the closest he has ever been to a dead person.

IMCRC Apartment 1 building.

Downstairs is full of police cars.

Standing outside the quarantine zone, an old man dressed in plain sight stood there. The wrinkles on his face crowded with self-reproach and sadness, facing his palms together, he sobbed like a confession.

“It's all my fault... I signed the paper...”

He photographed Professor Wierzek on his shoulder with comfort, standing beside Professor Witten and saying with comfort.

“It is not your fault that a distant soul, wherever he may be, will eventually go in the same direction. I hope he gets the answer he's looking forward to on that side of the world. ”

“As for us, both life and the road beneath us, we must continue. ”

Next to the two, a number of IMCRC researchers stood, as well as interns who followed their mentors here to work and study.

Many of them have heard about Professor Milo and the novel “Spirituality of the Universe”.

Even though most people disagree, a few believe that the theory seems to make sense.

Unlike the “gods” that ordinary people understand, Professor Milo's theory is more like articulating a concept similar to “the universe is unreasonable” and “disorderly higher consciousness governs the laws of nature”.

It just sounds a little scary.

If all of this is true, then physics, like studying a long series of irrational laws, really doesn't make much sense.

Looking at the house that had been dragged up, many people whispered.

“It's a little scary...”

“Yeah.”

“Professor Milo is a brilliant physicist, and I don't understand why he chose to end his life. If we had discovered new physics, it would have been a joy. ”

“I'm not entirely happy, at least my mentor doesn't look very emotional. ”

“What's your mentor researching? ”

“Quantum grid calculation method. ”

“I'm sorry. ”

“Is there a possibility that Professor Milo saw something terrible? ”

“Hey, come on, this is IMCRC, not the haunted house in the amusement park. Colliders are more than 300,000 kilometres away from us, and even if it's high-energy rays, it's hard to say. ”

At this time.

Suddenly, the rhetoric stopped.

Through a crowded crowd, a young man in a trench coat walked to the side of the isolation belt and stopped.

The policeman, standing behind the separation belt and maintaining order, noticed him and quickly came to his side, speaking respectfully.

“Hello, Master Lu. ”

He nodded at him and the ark glanced at the window with the curtains closed.

He and Professor Milo were not familiar, except for a few words during the coffee session and hearing that the professor seemed to have won some awards in physics that he had long been unaware of, which made him an excellent young scholar.

This has undoubtedly had a considerable negative impact on the IMCRC.

Such voices are now circulating on the Internet, and Professor Milo died under the academic authority of the IMCRC Committee because he was ostracized by mainstream physicists.

His followers even threatened to take a "torch” from his hand and avenge his death against the IMCRC and so on...

After a while of silence, the ark looked at the policeman and said.

“Can you briefly tell me what's going on in there? ”

Upon hearing this, the policeman hesitated and seemed to be considering whether or not to do so.

But thinking that Professor Lu was probably higher than his boss's boss, even if something went wrong, it would not be his responsibility, so he said.

“It was suicide. ”

“He took excess cephalospores… and alcohol. ”

“As for more details, we are still investigating. The Embassy of the United States has been informed that they will be in charge of contacting the families of the deceased...”

The ark nodded down, indicating that it knew.

Then he continued.

“May I come in? ”

This is a somewhat embarrassing request compared to the previous one.

The policeman hesitated for a moment and did not immediately let go.

However, at this time, Wang Peng pulled out a document from his pocket and delivered it to him.

“The case was taken over by National Security. ”

After seeing this ID, the policeman's face was stunned, and then he took it seriously.

“… I need to ask my superiors. ”

Wang Peng nodded.

“Go on. ”

……

Without waiting long enough, the ark was allowed to cross the cordon and enter Professor Milo's room.

Unlike what the ship imagined, the physics professor's living space was very tidy, and even obviously there were signs of cleaning within just two days.

“This is probably the most bizarre case I've had in two years...”

Divine complexity looked at the white line painted on the ground, a slightly older policeman, and divine complexity said, "From his state of life, he is much healthier than the average person. ”

The ark did not make any comment, just walked into his study and opened the drawer.

Normally, a code of conduct is adhered to by a scholar with a pattern of habits. And that's what we're working on, and it's going to be right where we can reach it.

Sure enough, the Ark found something in his drawer that looked like a research note.

Turning to the door page of the note, he followed the line of neat handwriting and formula, and kept reading down, and gradually appeared a few unexpected colors in his eyes.

Such an accident did not stem from the surprise of Professor Milo's scholarly work; in fact, no one in the world could have surprised him more in that regard.

Just to surprise the Ark, he thought that Professor Milo was just caught up in the fantasy of "spirituality of the universe", and I didn't expect this guy to build a perfect theoretical system for that conjecture… or religious platforms.

Simply put, in his theoretical system, "the universe has a spiritual theory” is at the heart of the entire theoretical system, and down comes “the universe is a projection of a higher subjective act of consciousness”, “everything is the best arrangement” and “this body of cosmic consciousness is not uncommunicable”.

And this seems to be saying that, in the abstract sense, the Spirit of the Universe is capable of communicating in a certain sense.

It sounds like psychology.

Consciousness determinism is superimposed on the basis of God's Creativity and the Spirituality of the Universe.

If the Ark were to be evaluated by an identified materialist, it would be completely poisoned.

It is noteworthy, however, that for the part of the universe where there is spirituality, this Professor Milo has been rigorously geologically argued. Even though a great deal of psychological terminology had been incorporated in the process, and self-made words that were probably only understood by him, it could at least be seen that he had tried to analyze the theory using the idea of science.

However, as part of the determinism of consciousness - that is, "the Spirit of the Universe can communicate with it” - he seemed to have abandoned thinking about it altogether and wrote it down as a conclusion, as if he had acquiesced in it.

There is no doubt that this approach is not rigorous.

At the very least, he should add the words "possibly” and “perhaps” to the discussion.

After about 20 minutes, he finally took a deep breath in the ark from head to tail, closed it and looked at the policeman who came in with him behind him.

“Can I take this note with me? ”

“I'm afraid not," the policeman said in an apologetic tone with an embarrassing expression on his face, "this is a relic of the deceased and part of the evidence related to the case. I'm afraid you won't be able to take it with you until after the case is closed, in consultation with the deceased's family. ”

The boat didn't say anything, nodded, then took the phone out of its pocket and turned on the video function, then flipped the notes evenly and photographed everything inside.

Technically, that's not possible either, but all the people standing next to them have turned a blind eye.

After doing these things, Ark put away his phone and looked at Wang Peng.

“Let's go back. ”

Wang Peng hesitated slightly and asked.

“Is that enough? ”

“Well," the ark nodded, "I think… I've probably found the answer. ”

Walking out of Professor Milo's apartment, the ark followed Wang Peng and headed straight to the parking place.

Just as the ark came out of the line of sight, Witten rushed out of the crowd and greeted him up.

“Did you find anything in there? Professor Milo, what exactly is he...”

The ark shook its head.

“There's nothing particularly noteworthy about it, and Professor Milo doesn't have much research material in the apartment, and he doesn't seem to be the kind of person who would take the job home. ”

Looking at Professor Witten's complex expression on his face, the ark paused for a moment and continued.

“But I found a note in his drawer. ”

Witten hastily continued: "What does it say? ”

“Some analysis of his latest experimental data on IMCRC, as well as his assumptions about the universe's spirituality, and the theoretical system built around this assumption… it appears that he has been doing this for some time during his vacation. ”

Removed the glasses from the nose beam, and Witten pinched the nose beam with some headache.

“This is really...”

Ark: “Unfortunately, isn't it? ”

“Yes… more disturbing than just regrettable. ”

This anxiety is not only diffused over the IMCRC headquarters, but also in the minds of every physicist. The vast majority of people do not believe that the universe has such an interpretation of spirituality, let alone that they have studied centuries of theory as useless as the law after analyzing the decimal point of circumference.

Isn't physics faithless?

Actually, there is.

It's like the wind wave that was caused by the neutrino hyperlight experiment.

Even when it was not possible to find what went wrong with the "Opera” project team's experiments, the vast majority of people were able to make the judgement that "it was a low-level error” without any knowledge of the situation.

The same is true of the situation faced by the IMCRC this time, and it is something more fundamental that is shaken.

Before the experiment begins, I don't know how many people prayed. I hope this is all an oolong. I hope that the new experimental results will cover the “mistakes” of the past. The building of physics will return to the framework of the standard model, preferably until the end of the world...

Looking at Professor Witten, who was caught in silence, the Ark pondered for a while and said.

“I know you have a lot of confusion right now, maybe… I mean, maybe I can answer some of it. ”

“... the theory of extra dimensions? ”

“Yes,” the ark nodded, "but it took a little time. ”

“Don't wait long, maybe a week at most... Soon I'll give an answer that's not perfect, but probably satisfactory to the vast majority -”

“About the future of our physics. ”
