Sea Survival: My Luck is Off the Charts

Chapter 270: According to Her Setup

Yvonne Lynch had endless things to say, but as the Ferris wheel slowly rose, they looked out at the dwindling city lights. Although the night sky was empty, sparkling little trains would occasionally streak by, making the view below feel breathtakingly beautiful.

"Faye, you should try this meal set. My mom said eating it would be good for you."

"Okay, you eat too." Faye Yardley didn’t hold back. To be honest, she had been hungry for a while. A glance at her watch showed it was already 11:07 PM.

After she finished the meal, a notification for [+1 Strength] appeared.

"Thank you, Yvonne. When you go back, please thank your mom for me."

Yvonne Lynch’s eyes curved into smiling crescents. "You don’t have to thank me, it was just a meal. Before time’s up, I’ll take you to the station and see you off on your train. Or... does Faye want to stay and play for a few more days?"

"No more playing, let’s just go back. Do we have to pay for another ticket for each day?"

Eamon blurted out, "That would be a total rip-off, right? Surely not."

Yvonne Lynch shook her head. "I’m not sure. We could just find a staff member and ask."

Faye Yardley felt she needed to warn her brother and the others. She called her brother and Zachary Pierce separately, reminding them to find out if they needed to buy a new ticket after midnight. If so, they should leave immediately.

News of this spread quickly.

So, from the Ferris wheel, they could see a crowd of people scrambling to get out of the main gate.

Watching the scene, Eamon grew a little anxious. "We’re not going to be stuck here until tomorrow, are we?"

Even though he had money, he was afraid of getting himself killed in this city.

"Don’t worry, I’m here," Yvonne Lynch said, looking a little embarrassed as if she were showing off.

Faye Yardley patted her full stomach and gazed at the scenery outside. But as far as she could see, her hometown was nowhere in sight.

In the last five minutes of the Invitation Card’s duration, Yvonne Lynch had already led them to the VIP lounge at the train station. She held Faye Yardley’s hand, reluctant to let go.

"Faye, you’ll miss me, right?"

"I will." Faye Yardley gently pulled her hand away and patted Yvonne’s shoulder. From her backpack, she took out a poppy picked from the sea of flowers in Dreamland Park and a blossom from her own Bramble, giving them to her.

She placed the two flowers, each beautiful in its own way, in Yvonne Lynch’s hair.

Yvonne Lynch slapped her own forehead. "Silly me. This is for you, Faye. They’re seeds from my world. I don’t know if they’ll grow where you are."

"Okay, thank you."

Yvonne Lynch gave Faye Yardley a tight hug. "Once I see you onto the train, I’ll have to head back."

Eamon quickly downed the drink provided in the VIP lounge.

Cole Kensington also secretly drank a cocktail, and his whole face flushed bright red.

’I have to say, the VIP card from Yvonne Lynch’s mom was truly amazing. The train car she arranged for them had seats that could recline into beds, and there was a free supply of various snacks and drinks.’

The three of them had the entire car to themselves.

’This return ticket was really worth it.’

RING RING~

"Faye, are you on the train already?"

"Yeah. Not bad, you guys are already at the station platform."

Ethan Yardley looked at his sister’s accommodations in the train car and suddenly felt demoralized.

’His sister’s living conditions were so much better than his. He suddenly felt that being a lone wolf wouldn’t be so bad. Running a guild seemed to have just tied him down.’

"Alright, I’m relieved to know you’re on the train home. We’ll talk when you’re back."

After hanging up on her brother, Faye Yardley smiled. She could roughly guess what he was thinking. She figured that her ability to leave the raft and spend time with Yvonne Lynch was probably thanks to Yvonne’s mother pulling some strings.

’Only one hour. Her daughter is an obedient girl; as long as she follows her script, there won’t be any problems.’

’She didn’t care at all how much money was spent.’

Faye Yardley got off the train and returned to The Oceanic Station. Turning around, she saw her raft.

"Hey, we’re home."

"Yeah, we’re home," Faye Yardley replied to Eamon, then leaped lightly onto the raft.

’The trip was short, but the rewards were significant.’

’Most importantly, she’d managed to bring her house out.’

’That alone was enough to make her happy.’

"It’s too late. If there’s anything to discuss, we’ll talk tomorrow. Everyone, get some rest."

She quickly washed up, plopped onto her bed, and when she woke up again, it was 4 AM the next day.

The weather outside didn’t look great today; it seemed like it was going to rain.

Even though she had only slept for a little over three hours, Faye Yardley felt quite energetic.

After doing some stretches, she went to the living room. Blackwood meowed; it had woken up at some point.

Faye Yardley, in a great mood, tossed it a dried fish snack. "Morning, Blackwood."

Blackwood leaped up and caught the dried fish snack in its mouth, swallowing it in one gulp.

"System, display my personal Attributes."

Looking at her Attributes, the smile on Faye Yardley’s face deepened.

’With just two more points in Strength, all of her Attributes would enter the Third Tier.’

’Speaking of which, my Strength has a temporary boost right now. Does that mean I can take a High Tier Body Refining Pill?’

’As much as she wanted to experiment right away, she decided to eat something first.’

’She’d had a huge meal right before coming back, yet her Hunger Level had fallen below the halfway mark after just one night’s sleep.’

She took out the food she had prepared in her backpack. Since the backpack didn’t keep things fresh, it was all cold. Faye Yardley sighed and turned to the kitchen.

’For her, unless it was a cold dish, food was always more delicious when it was hot.’

After eating, she wasn’t in a hurry. Instead, she went outside and looked up at the sky. Sure enough, there were heavy, dark clouds. She didn’t know if it was because of yesterday’s experience in Nightfall Citadel, but she found that even in this pitch-black environment, a faint glimmer of light seemed rather nice.

The wind blew, gust after gust, making the Bramble leaves rustle.

’Looks like rain is unavoidable today.’

Back inside the house, Faye Yardley looked at the High Level Body Refining Pill in her hand and took a deep breath.

She picked it up and tossed it into her mouth. The Body Refining Pill dissolved into a liquid and slid into her stomach. A fiery, burning Energy began to rampage unpredictably inside her.

A pain she hadn’t experienced in a long time swept over her again, and wisps of hot steam began to rise from the surface of her skin.

Gritting her teeth against the pain, Faye Yardley tried to circulate the Health Care Scripture, but her efforts always fell short...
