**At Namrata’s Apartment**

Thump!

Seo-yeon dropped both hands onto the bed with an exhausted expression.

"That’s it. I’m done. I can’t take another question."

She immediately face-planted onto the notebook she’d been using earlier.

Rohit glanced at the clock before taking another sip from his beer. It was five minutes yet to hit eight at night.

" We’ve barely studied for thirty-five minutes, and your meter is already empty." He shook his head in exaggerated disappointment. "What a lousy princess."

He was sprawled comfortably across the bed, his head resting on Namrata’s thighs as he casually flipped through the notes scattered around them.

Namrata smiled and took a small bite of her own chips. She pointed toward the translation doubt she had marked earlier.

"See this one... is this the right way to do it?"

Google Lens could help with individual words, but translating everything word-for-word wasn’t always useful. Luckily, Rohit had already helped more than she expected — and even solved the arithmetic and reasoning questions she had been struggling with.

Rohit barely glanced at the paper before pointing out the error in one smooth motion.

"Nope. If the aunt’s mother’s daughter is related to the sister as the cousin’s mom, then the answer isn’t ’aunt’ — it’s ’mom.’ The question is asking what the cousin would call her, not what you would call her."

Namrata checked the answer and her face lit up with joy.

"Oh wow... I actually took the word ’her’ as referring to myself."

Seo-yeon slowly lifted her head and glared at him.

This was becoming ridiculous.

Rohit had been genuinely useful tonight. He’d helped with her translation problems, understood the questions faster than she expected, and was now solving Namrata’s doubts almost effortlessly.

But that didn’t mean she had to like watching him do it.

Especially when her beer was sitting right there and he was already on his second can.

It was partly her own fault.

Ten minutes after they started, she’d declared that nobody was drinking until they finished the day’s target. Then she’d gotten tired, leaned against the pillows, and tried to grab her beer.

She’d missed.

The can had spilled all over one of Namrata’s pillows.

That had earned her a temporary ban from opening another until she finished her quota.

And now, as if Rohit drinking two cans in front of her wasn’t irritating enough, he had somehow ended up lying on the bed with his head on Namrata’s lap.

Namrata had offered it innocently, worried that the remaining pillow would suffer another casualty. It was supposed to be a polite gesture mixed with a light joke, meant to make him sit properly and behave.

But Rohit, being Rohit, had accepted immediately — without a shred of hesitation, guilt, or gentlemanly pretense. Namrata, knowing Rohit personally, had simply accepted her fate, given their relationship as a benefactor who was a little too frank and casual but mean ’no harm’.

Meanwhile, Seo-yeon was having her own quiet meltdown.

Earlier, she had already caught him peeking at her cleavage. She had been satisfied then, taking it as a clear sign of interest. It had even given her the confidence to confront him about the bathroom incident once the classes were over.

But the situation had changed.

Now, with his head resting on Namrata’s thighs, he had completely shifted his target. Under the excuse of reading papers, he had a perfect view of Namrata’s full chest — like some certified pro pervert.

The most frustrating part was Namrata’s innocence. She was smart in every subject except when it came to these things.

How was she supposed to concentrate like this? He was supposed to be looking at her, not Namrata. Was it because of those big, puffy jugs of hers? In comparison, her own weren’t bad, but Namrata’s were undoubtedly more eye-catching. Her patience was dwindling by the second.

Jealousy quietly sprouted in her chest, and she had been forced to endure it. And just now, he had peeked at Namrata casually again for the ninth time while answering.

That was enough.

’This farce has to end.’

Seo-yeon abruptly sat up and snatched the can from Rohit’s hand.

"I’m not studying anymore. I want my beer."

Rohit frowned at his empty hand.

"Hey! This is injustice."

Ignoring his protest like a passing fly, Seo-yeon took several gulps before wiping her lips. "Hah. Now it feels nice." She paused for dramatic effect, then eyed Rohit with pure smugness, as if looking at a peasant from the era of dark ages. "The rule was only until I finished studying."

"Sure. You can drink. But you’re breaking your own rule on the first day. " Rohit sat up, trying to get his beer back. "now return it."

"My rules. My way." Seo-yeon tugged her hands in as if guarding a precious jewel, then held out her empty hand. "Pass me the other one."

Rohit stared at her as if he’d just found someone who exceeded even his own shamelessness. "You’ve got some nerve."

"Another," she replied, sipping calmly as if his words had no effect on her.

Rohit shook his head and reached toward the table anyway.

Namrata quietly pulled her legs back and adjusted her position. Offering her lap had felt natural at the time, but now that the two of them were arguing, she felt a little shy and nervous. She was still relieved the pillow crisis had been avoided, though.

She tucked her hair behind her ear and replied calmly,

"Well, it’s completely fine. We’re here to help each other. The important thing is how well we communicate."

She continued the last part in Korean.

Seo-yeon’s eyes suddenly lit up. She half-stood in excitement.

"Right! Let’s play some games — ones related to speaking and not boring" She eyed Rohit with a playful, pleading look. "One more, please."

Rohit rolled his eyes, noticing how Seo-yeon was quickly turning into an upstart, but still passed her another beer can and took one for himself from remaining stack of five.

"Like what? Truth or dare?"

Namrata immediately frowned. She had never participated in these kinds of games, and knowing how easily they could get drunk and how ugly things could become, she quickly protested.

"No, no. Truth or dare always ends up with weird questions and uncomfortable dares."

Seo-yeon blinked, then laughed, clearly enjoying the situation as she watched Namrata’s face turn the color of a sunset. She had already been feeling a little jealous and now saw the perfect chance to get back at both of them.

With her prior experience who happen to had bullied her freinds in her home turf and self-proclaimed confidence as a ’pro’ at this game, she was certain she would suffer the least. Given such a golden opportunity on a silver platter, there was no way she was letting it go.

She giggled. "Unnie, are you getting cold feet? Just stick to truth then. We can keep it to bare minimum — yes or no answers if it gets too hard or uncomfortable."

Namrata still resisted. "But—"

Rohit’s smile turned into a grin as he watched his simple suggestion spiral into a whirlwind. He quickly chimed in.

"Yeah... no pressure. Anyone can pass on a question as long as the answer still fits the context. And if someone refuses to answer a truth or complete a dare, the game ends." He paused for dramatic effect. "And they become the loser and have to chug three cans of beer non-stop as punishment. No compromise."

"Nice!" Seo-yeon exclaimed, then quickly scooted closer to Namrata’s side. "Don’t worry, Unnie. It’ll be two versus one. I’ll be on your side." She leaned in and whispered something into Namrata’s ear.

This time Rohit immediately frowned. He looked at both girls and felt suspicious as Namrata’s face grew even redder while Seo-yeon whispered to her.

"Hey! This is unfair. I can smell a conspiracy."

Both girls shut him down at once.

"SHUT UP!"

They immediately broke into giggles, clearly pleased with themselves for winning the mini-war.

Seo-yeon folded her arms, puffing out her chest, and scolded him. "You should be happy we even agreed."

Rohit raised both hands in surrender. "Well, alright. So are we ready?"

Namrata still looked reluctant, but under the combined pressure she finally answered with low energy.

"...Yes. "

Soon, an empty bottle was placed in the middle, on top of a notebook to give it a smoother surface for rotation. Seo-yeon took charge as the coordinator.

She gave it a practiced spin, applying just the right pressure and angle to let it whirl freely before pulling her hand away.

The bottle spun rapidly. As its momentum faded, it pointed toward Namrata, then passed Seo-yeon before finally slowing to a stop at Rohit.

Seo-yeon’s face lit up with satisfaction, as though the outcome had gone exactly according to plan.

"Truth or dare?" both girls exclaimed at once.

Their delighted expressions reminded Rohit of two butchers sharpening their knives while politely asking the lamb, "Slow or fast?"

Rohit visibly gulped.

For the first time since his transmigration, he felt genuine pressure. Brute force wasn’t going to save him here.

"Hey! One at a time, please."

Seo-yeon immediately seized the opportunity before Namrata could say anything.

"Are you a virgin?"
