Chapter 224: Truth And Dare Part-1
"Are you a virgin?" Seo-yeon asked casually.
Even Namrata gasped at the sheer directness of the question, though she quickly fell silent. It was part of the game, after all.
Rohit blinked twice at the sudden ambush. For a moment, he felt like he was buffering, unable to fully process the question. The shy, glasses-wearing image of Seoyeon, he had formed of her at school was cracking a little more with every minute he spent with her. The language difference was defenitely doing its miracle.
He registered her anew — perfectly amicable on the outside, but a little sinister devil on the inside.
What a shame she had to be a diplomat’s daughter. Nonetheless, he quickly reminded himself to keep a check on himself. The game wasn’t dangerous yet, but getting carried away definitely would be.
Rohit lied with a perfectly straight face.
"Yes."
Seo-yeon tilted her head, clearly not fully satisfied with his poker face.
"Hmm. Recently eighteen. Acceptable answer... for now."
The bottle spun again.
And stopped at Rohit.
Namrata’s eyes brightened.
"My turn." She thought for a moment before asking, "Hmm... what do you want to become in life?"
Rohit stared at her.
"You didn’t even ask whether I choose truth or dare."
Seo-yeon immediately sided with Namrata.
"Just answer. Or are you taking the dare?"
Rohit’s smug smile returned.
"The question is easy. I’ll take truth."
He leaned back casually.
"Honestly? I want to become the kind of man who can enjoy his life without limits. Name it — money, power, or sex. A life like a true king."
Seo-yeon immediately asked, "Sex? You mean with one or multiple?"
Rohit scoffed.
"I haven’t pictured myself with just one yet. You can think of it as a menu fantasy" He added with a wink, "And that menu has to be full of gorgeous options, from where I can pick anyone I like, whenever I like. Like a full buffet."
Namrata couldn’t help but blurt out, "And what about the girl’s emotions if she believes in you? Wouldn’t that be cheating? You think girls are food whom you can chew any time you wish?"
Rohit replied without hesitation, still continuing with his playful vibe.
"Nope. I’ll be fair. No strings attached. Only sex. If they want it, they can stay. If not, they can leave. No pressure."
Seo-yeon immediately burst out laughing.
"Pfft! I knew it. He’s a harem guy!"
Namrata frowned, though a helpless, sheepish smile tugged at her lips.
Seo-yeon teased, "Seems someone isn’t pleased with this perspective. Want to add more, Unnie?"
Namrata raised her eyebrows at being called out, but eventually decided to ask anyway.
"Why would you say that?" she asked softly. "People who involve themselves with too many partners never get the blessing of true love."
Seo-yeon quickly passed a pillow to Namrata, trying to stop her.
"Okay, that’s enough. It’s his choice and he already said it’s his fantasy. Let’s not—"
But Rohit’s expression cut her off. His face softened slightly at the genuine concern behind Namrata’s words.
"Look, Namrata... I respect your view, but I don’t agree with it."
He paused for a moment.
"Love, desire, passion — people treat these words like they’re eternal. They’re not. Most of the time they fade. It might sound self serving but I want to be honest to my heart. I like good people and I want them to like me back. Thats why I don’t want to bind myself to one person and spend the rest of my life wondering about everyone else I might feel special."
His smile returned, quieter this time.
"Besides.. if I can be loved by more than one person, why should I deliberately close that door? As long as I’m honest, take responsibility, and stay when someone needs me... I don’t see why that can’t still be real love. Why complicate it?"
Seo-yeon couldn’t help but retort playfully.
"Good luck with that. Even if a girl miraculously agrees, society won’t allow it."
Rohit shook his head.
"Society never lives up to anyone’s expectations. Why should I bend for its prejudice? If a woman accepts my terms, she’s mine — past, status, everything else becomes irrelevant. No rule or any chain of judgment will keep her from me. That’s how determined I am."
Seo-yeon’s laughter slowly faded. She blinked at him.
She had expected another shameless answer — not something that actually forced her to pause and think.
Namrata merely gave him a weak smile. She clearly wasn’t convinced, but chose not to argue.
Before Seo-yeon could touch the bottle again, Rohit reached over and took it himself.
"I think it’s only fair that everyone gets a turn. Otherwise, what’s the point of playing?"
Seo-yeon immediately protested.
"What? Are you accusing me of rigging the game?"
Rohit simply smiled.
Namrata couldn’t hold it anymore and giggled at Seo-yeon’s offended expression.
Seo-yeon looked betrayed.
"Fine! Your turn."
Rohit spun the bottle.
It whirled around the notebook, slowed...
...and pointed straight back at him.
Silence.
Rohit’s smile vanished.
Seo-yeon’s face lit up.
"Oh, this is getting fun."
She leaned toward him, eyes sparkling with mischief.
"So, handsome..."
Rohit already felt uncomfortable and regretted his choice.
Seo-yeon smiled sweetly.
"Do you have a girlfriend we don’t know about?"
Rohit blinked, caught off guard by how direct the question was.
"No," he said after a short pause. "I don’t have any girlfriend you don’t know about. In fact, I don’t have anyone at all right now."
Both girls visibly relaxed.
Then they exchanged a suspicious look.
Seo-yeon’s eyes immediately narrowed. She had caught the tiny flicker of smugness at the corner of his lips.
"You’re lying."
Rohit smiled.
"Believe it or not, that’s up to you. Besides, you only get one question. No follow-ups."
Seo-yeon pursed her lips and looked toward Namrata for support.
Namrata merely shrugged and spun the bottle next.
It landed back on herself.
She chose truth and answered a mild question about her most recent awkward date three years ago without much resistance.
The next spin pointed at Seo-yeon.
She took a dare — standing up and doing a short, exaggerated runway walk across the room that made all three of them laugh.
The atmosphere stayed light, but the undercurrent hadn’t gone away.
Then the bottle stopped on Rohit again.
Seo-yeon didn’t wait.
"Truth or dare?"
He considered for a second.
"Dare."
Her smile sharpened just a little. It was finally time for the game to enter its second phase.
"Alright. You’ve been sitting there looking too comfortable. Take off your shirt and keep it off for the next twenty rounds. Or—" She held up a finger. "You can refuse, but then you have to answer every single truth question for the rest of the game with complete honesty until we are satisfied. No dodging, no half-answers."
Namrata leaned forward, chin in her hands, clearly enjoying the dilemma.
Rohit let out a short breath that was almost a laugh.
"You’re serious."
"Completely," Seo-yeon said.
He glanced between them. The competitive part of him didn’t want to look like he was backing down from a simple dare, and the idea of having zero filter chest for the entire night felt more dangerous in the long run.
After a few seconds, he reached down, grabbed the hem of his t-shirt, and pulled it over his head in one motion. He tossed it onto the couch behind him.
"There. Happy?"
Seo-yeon looked openly pleased. Namrata simply smiled and gave a small clap, clearly delighted.
"Very," Seo-yeon said. "Your turn to spin."
The bottle spun again.
It felt slower this time, as if even the glass knew the stakes had risen.
It stopped on Namrata.
She didn’t hesitate.
"Dare."
Seo-yeon and Rohit exchanged a look. Seo-yeon spoke first.
"Take off your top for the next ten rounds. The one you’re wearing right now. You can keep whatever’s underneath, but the outer layer goes."
Silence filled the room.
