Chapter 221 - 210: When Did You and My Second Uncle Get Together? (Part 2)
In the evening, they went to eat some local snacks.
She found that as long as Elliot Sheridan was by her side, she felt at ease.
He seemed omnipotent, as if he knew everything.
After eating, the two of them went back to their hotel in Fiorano to rest.
Perhaps after a day of getting used to things, Georgia Thorne wasn’t tired at all when she returned to the hotel. Instead, she was curious about their itinerary for tomorrow.
Elliot Sheridan just said it was a secret. Georgia Thorne shot him a playful glare and went online to search for attractions in Fiorano.
Unfortunately, it was all in English. She could only understand a few words and was completely lost after that.
In the end, she gave up and started chatting with Nancy Hughes instead.
Their room was on the twenty-third floor. Looking down from above, they had a breathtaking, panoramic view of the endless city lights stretching into the distance.
Georgia Thorne recorded a video for Nancy Hughes, who was incredibly envious.
They had visited Aethelgard in Fiorano and also saw an octagonal building opposite it, covered by a very high dome on the inside.
Georgia Thorne craned her neck. "Wow, how tall is this?!"
"About thirty-something meters," Elliot Sheridan answered.
Elliot Sheridan wore sunglasses, hiding his sharp gaze. Georgia Thorne looked at him admiringly. "You really know everything, don’t you? You’re like The Oracle!"
’The Oracle? Hardly,’ he thought. ’I just read a lot in the past and happened to remember it.’
Georgia Thorne envied Elliot Sheridan’s brilliant mind. This must be what it meant to be erudite and well-read, with a wide range of knowledge.
The next day, they went to Alira.
Alira was the city of water, a place Georgia Thorne had always dreamed of visiting.
Because she loved Alira so much, they stayed an extra day to properly enjoy the scenery with Elliot Sheridan.
Afterward, they traveled from Alira to Zalburg.
On the seventh day of their trip, they went to a Valoisian Town, stayed the night, and then flew to Varonne the next day.
Varonne, the city of romance.
Strolling down Coronade Avenue under the infinitely beautiful sun, Georgia Thorne took countless photos on the famous street.
Among them were plenty of photos of the two of them together.
A funny incident occurred while Elliot Sheridan was taking pictures of Georgia Thorne.
Georgia Thorne might not have had world-shattering beauty, but she possessed a distinctly classic, Eastern charm.
Her skin was fair and delicate, her lips red and her teeth white, and she immediately caught the eye of a talent scout walking through the crowd.
The scout saw that Georgia Thorne had that captivating Eastern quality, and as she posed for pictures under Elliot Sheridan’s direction, the womanly allure in her eyes was hard to describe in words.
He immediately went up and struck up a conversation with the Eastern woman.
The scout spoke in French, asking if she was interested in becoming a star.
Georgia Thorne only understood "hello" and nothing else, so she just stared blankly at the man before her.
Elliot Sheridan came over, shielded Georgia Thorne behind him, and told the scout in fluent French, "Sorry, my wife has no interest in being a star."
Most of these street-side talent scouts were frauds.
The talent scout was stunned. "You’re a married couple?"
He looked at Elliot Sheridan, then at Georgia Thorne, feeling the age gap between them seemed quite large.
Elliot Sheridan’s face tightened, his eyes growing darker.
The scout felt a chill run down his spine from the glare, sensing this man was not to be trifled with. He smiled apologetically and said, "I just saw that your wife is very beautiful, so I wanted to ask if she had any interest in becoming a star. I could make her a huge sensation."
Georgia Thorne couldn’t understand what the scout was saying. She looked up at the man in front of her, who, with a taut face, grabbed her hand and walked away.
The scout thought it was a pity and didn’t want to give up on this Eastern beauty. He talked their ears off until Elliot finally, reluctantly, took his business card just to get him to stop.
Georgia Thorne eyed the business card. "Let me see!"
"There’s nothing to see!" Elliot Sheridan glanced at the card and tossed it into a nearby trash can.
Georgia Thorne was speechless. ’Wasn’t that meant for me?’ she thought.
They stayed in Varonne for two days, but unfortunately, it poured rain on the second day with thunder and lightning, forcing them to cancel their plans.
Georgia Thorne was cooped up in the hotel with nothing to do.
Seeing how bored she was, Elliot Sheridan simply carried her to the bed.
They had been traveling and walking everywhere these past few days, and their bodies were exhausted.
He had originally intended for her to get some proper rest. "Since you’re so bored, why don’t we do something meaningful?"
She decisively wrapped her arms around his waist, looped her hands around his neck, and initiated a kiss.
Naturally, Elliot Sheridan was delighted by Georgia Thorne’s passionate initiative.
On that rainy day, the two of them didn’t go anywhere, spending the entire day in their room.
Or to be more precise, they spent the entire day in bed.
On the last day, they returned to their original point of departure, Zubair, and boarded a plane back home.
Georgia Thorne had never imagined that traveling could be so exhausting.
After returning home, Georgia Thorne slept for two days straight to get over the jet lag.
Elliot Sheridan, on the other hand, was busier; he went to the office on the second day after their return.
On her third day of resting at home, Georgia Thorne finally contacted Nancy Hughes and Selena Sheridan.
When the two friends heard she was back, they both started clamoring for gifts.
The gifts had already been bought long ago. Selena Sheridan and Nancy Hughes came over to Elliot Sheridan’s private apartment together.
It was Nancy Hughes’s first time there. She looked all around the private apartment, clucking her tongue in admiration. "As expected of the boss! So extravagant!"
The apartment wasn’t actually that luxurious, but the location was prime and the price tag was equally impressive.
Georgia Thorne showed them the photos from the trip, which were mostly of the scenery.
Elliot Sheridan had been holding the camera most of the time, so even she hadn’t seen many of them yet.
Georgia Thorne looked through them along with her friends. When a photo of her and Elliot Sheridan kissing appeared, Georgia frantically covered the camera. "Don’t look!"
"It’s not like it’s porn, what’s there not to see!"
Georgia Thorne kept the camera held tightly in her grasp, refusing to let the other two see.
"I’ll show them to you after I’ve sorted through them," Georgia Thorne said, snatching the camera and darting into the bedroom to hide it.
