When Selena Sheridan asked him for a gift, Elliot Sheridan whispered in her ear, "Didn’t Georgia Thorne already buy you a gift?"

She was stunned. ’When did Georgia buy me a gift?’

Elliot then brought up the previous clothes shopping trip, reminding her that Georgia had used his card.

She instantly deflated. ’Uncle is so stingy.’

"Of course he’s going to play favorites! Our Georgia is his legal wife. She’s going to be with Elliot for the rest of his life; you’re just his niece!"

"Marriage is so wonderful!" Selena Sheridan said wistfully, resting her chin in her hand as she gazed at Georgia Thorne’s flushed cheeks.

Seeing Georgia so happy, she suddenly wanted to get married as well.

Georgia was now a typical wife, kept on a tight leash by Elliot, who wouldn’t let her stay out too late.

When Nancy Hughes suggested going for drinks, Georgia refused.

"Sigh, I guess there’s one downside to marriage: no freedom!"

Elliot could be domineering at times, but he was usually gentle with her.

Georgia thought it was wonderful.

Selena sighed again as she looked at Georgia, still unable to figure it out. "I’ll admit my uncle is handsome, but he has plenty of flaws. I really don’t know how you got so captivated by him!"

It was like she was completely head over heels.

As for Elliot’s flaws, she’d probably known about them since day one.

Nancy Hughes and Selena Sheridan went to do karaoke, but Georgia received a call from Elliot Sheridan and rushed outside.

Propping her chin in her hand, Selena watched Georgia get into Elliot’s car. She then turned to Nancy beside her and said wistfully, "Don’t you think my uncle and Georgia look like an uncle and his niece when they stand together?"

"They did look a bit like that at first, but you get used to it after seeing them together enough," Nancy Hughes said, taking a sip of coffee.

Nancy Hughes wasn’t Selena Sheridan; she couldn’t empathize.

Her own best friend had become her elder. In the future, during holidays, she would have to call her best friend "Auntie."

’She’d really gotten the short end of the stick, generationally speaking.’

Georgia’s birthday was at the end of August, so it was a pretty good time to go on a trip.

It was basically their honeymoon.

Elliot had been busy with work for the past few days, leaving early and returning late, leaving him utterly exhausted.

He had a bad habit of falling asleep right after washing his hair without drying it.

He wasn’t a young man anymore. Every night, Georgia would wait for him to return and dry his hair for him.

Georgia discovered that Elliot already had a few gray hairs. They grew in inconspicuous places, concealed by his other black hair.

She had once suggested that Elliot dye his hair black, and the result was predictable.

A certain someone had flown into a rage and pounced on Georgia, pinning her beneath him.

Their trip to Elysia was scheduled to last ten days.

The first stop was Mediolia. With a layover in Zubair, the two of them would spend the night on the plane.

Upon arriving in Mediolia, they mainly visited the Argentum. It is the world’s largest Gothic cathedral, and the second-largest church in the world by scale.

Elliot held Georgia’s hand the entire time, afraid of losing her.

They were surrounded by all kinds of tourists, and various unfamiliar languages filled the air.

Many of the tourists were in tour groups, but the two of them were traveling independently.

Elliot acted as Georgia’s tour guide, giving explanations so detailed they were every bit as good as those from an experienced professional.

After spending a full day sightseeing in Mediolia, they checked into a hotel near Aethelburg to rest.

They had been on their feet for nearly the entire day without a break. After her shower, Georgia was so tired she fell straight onto the bed and went to sleep.

Elliot watched Georgia sleep, her hair still half-damp, and couldn’t help but chuckle. And here she was, always telling him not to sleep with wet hair, yet doing the exact same thing herself.

He coaxed Georgia awake to dry her hair, then held her as they slept.

On the second day of their trip, they went to many places.

The Gladiarium of ancient Aethelburg was a circular arena. Georgia had only ever seen it on television. Climbing to the highest point, she could see the entire structure spread out below her, majestic and spectacular.

The ruins of ancient Aethelburg also made her think of the Aethelgard Gardens.

Petrinum, built in the Baroque style, is the place where the Aethelburg Papacy holds large religious activities.

Georgia loved taking pictures, capturing every scenic spot she visited in her camera. She also insisted on pulling Elliot into photos with her.

Elliot was very photogenic. The man in the photos was strikingly handsome and radiant, with sharp, well-defined features that made him look charming and dapper.

But he didn’t like having his picture taken. Apart from a few intimate photos with Georgia, the vast majority were solo shots of her.

Their last stop was the Basilican, the central church of Aethelburg Catholicism and the foremost of the world’s five great cathedrals.
