"Call her ’Auntie’ a couple of times!" Elliot Sheridan raised an eyebrow, indicating it was fine by him.

"Auntie! My dearest auntie! So you’re my personal money tree!" Selena Sheridan cheered, rushing over to hug Georgia Thorne and calling out "Auntie" twice in a loud, clear voice.

Then she turned back to Elliot and said, "Uncle, everyone here is my witness! You can’t go back on your word, or I won’t let my auntie sleep with you tonight!"

Elliot simply ignored her. He walked over, wrapped an arm around Georgia’s shoulder, and asked softly, "Are you still feeling tired?"

The heat that had just barely subsided in Georgia surged back up. Her lovely face turned so red it looked like it could bleed, and she glared up at him.

But a certain someone seemed completely oblivious, adding, "If you’re tired, just go upstairs and sleep a bit more. No one in the family will say anything."

This blatant display of protectiveness over his delicate new wife nearly made the other family members’ eyes pop out. Was this really the same Elliot Sheridan they all knew?

The implication in his words was so obvious that Georgia was mortified enough to wish she could find a hole to crawl into.

Generally speaking, for a prominent and noble family like the Sheridans, the family network was bound to be extensive.

In the afternoon, more people began to arrive one after another. They were all relatives of the Sheridan family, and Sharon Ennis took Georgia around to introduce her to each of them.

After a full round of introductions, she discovered that, as expected, all of Elliot’s peers were married, with children who were already seven or eight years old. Selena was about in the middle of her generation, age-wise.

One man, a bit older than Selena, already had a four-year-old.

Whenever Sharon Ennis introduced Georgia, she would say with an immensely proud tone, "This is my daughter-in-law, Elliot’s wife."

At the mention of Elliot Sheridan, everyone would give Georgia a few extra looks.

When the introductions were finally over, Georgia breathed a sigh of relief.

"Grandma, I have to pee-pee. Can you take me?"

Georgia was sipping some water when she felt a tug on her pant leg. She looked down to see a small child with a cherubic face, her hair in two little pigtails. With her rosy skin and big, round eyes, she was utterly adorable.

But the child’s "Grandma" gave her such a fright that she choked on the water she hadn’t swallowed yet. "What did you say?!"

"Grandma, I have to pee-pee, I really, really have to go!" Although it was the little girl’s first time meeting Georgia, she wasn’t shy at all. She tugged on Georgia’s pant leg and stomped her feet. "Grandma, I have to go now!"

The child really seemed to be on the verge of bursting, and she looked like she was about to cry.

"Wait, I’ll take you," Georgia said, leading the little girl into the bathroom and closing the door for her.

"Grandma, I can’t get up there. Can you lift me?"

"Uh, okay!"

Georgia had never taken care of a child before. She watched as the girl pulled down her pants and held her arms out to be picked up. Georgia lifted her onto the toilet seat, holding her steady so she wouldn’t fall.

After she was done, Georgia helped her pull up her pants, then lifted her again to wash her hands.

"Grandma, you’re so pretty! Prettier than my mommy!"

After washing her hands, the little girl hugged Georgia’s face and gave her a kiss. Georgia praised her back, "You’re very pretty too!"

As Georgia carried the child out, she ran into the girl’s father, who was looking for her.

The little girl in her arms reached out to the approaching man, calling out happily, "Daddy!"

The man, who looked to be a bit older than Elliot, took the child from her arms and said to Georgia, "Thank you, Auntie!"

Georgia felt a wave of embarrassment. "Hello!"

’Honestly,’ she thought, ’I can handle being called ’Grandma’ by a child, but I really can’t take being called ’Auntie’ by a grown man.’

Today was a grand reunion, and all the relatives were here.

During the reunion dinner, in front of everyone, Sharon Ennis pulled Georgia aside and introduced her once more to the family, officially marking her as a member of the Sheridan clan.

People wanted Georgia to drink, but Elliot, fiercely protective of his wife, took her glass and downed it for her without hesitation.

By the end of it all, however, Georgia had still drunk quite a bit and was lying dizzily on the table.

Sharon Ennis pulled Elliot over. "Carry Georgia upstairs to sleep. Don’t let her catch a cold down here!"

Elliot grunted in agreement and carried Georgia upstairs.

Georgia was in a half-awake state. The swaying motion as she was carried was uncomfortable, and she whimpered softly in Elliot’s arms.

She forced her eyes open uncomfortably and saw a blurry, handsome face. Her memories suddenly flashed back to the past.

She suddenly began to struggle. "Mr. Sheridan, why are you carrying me?!"

Elliot looked down at her. ’Why is she calling me Mr. Sheridan again?’ "I’m carrying you back to our room to sleep!"

Georgia was truly drunk, her memory stuck in the past. "Am I sleeping with Selena tonight?"

"No, you’re sleeping with me!" Elliot pushed open the door and placed Georgia on the bed. She rolled over. "Why would I sleep with you? I don’t even know you that well!"

She rolled toward the far side of the bed, trying to get away from Elliot.

But Elliot grabbed her by the ankle and pulled her back. "What do you mean, you don’t know me well? Is there any part of you I haven’t seen? I know exactly how many moles you have on your body, and you’re telling me we’re not close?"

He pulled Georgia into his arms and gave her a firm swat on the bottom.

Through her thick clothes, it wouldn’t hurt her, but it might just be enough to sober her up a little.

But with the alcohol clouding her mind, Georgia’s nerves were numb, and she didn’t feel any pain. She struggled to free her head from Elliot’s embrace, panting heavily. "You’re lying! I don’t even know how many I have!"

"Is that so? Well, do you know you have a crimson beauty mark on your back?"

"I do?" Georgia, her reactions slowed by the drink, followed his lead and reached to feel her back. "I really didn’t know that!"

"You do. It’s especially beautiful. Do you want to see your crimson beauty mark?" Elliot coaxed softly in her ear.

Bewitched by his words, Georgia hesitated before nodding. "I want to see!"

"Then how about Uncle helps you take off your clothes first, and we can look together, okay?"

"Okay!" Georgia seemed tired. She lay there with her eyes half-closed, letting Elliot strip her clothes off.

Elliot felt like a wicked uncle luring away a child, but if that child was Georgia, he was more than happy to play the part.

Georgia didn’t have any crimson beauty mark on her back; it was all a lie Elliot made up to trick her.

In her drunken state, Georgia had complied with Elliot’s wishes, so when she woke up the next morning, her whole body felt off.

It was as if she’d been beaten up the night before; her muscles and bones ached all over.

’I really shouldn’t have drunk last night,’ she thought. ’Now I can’t remember a thing.’

The sound of running water trickled from the bathroom. Georgia, head throbbing, picked up the phone from her bedside, planning to scroll through Weibo.

But when she unlocked it, she found her wallpaper had been changed. It used to be a picture of Blue, but now it was something else.

What was it?

Georgia stared at it for a moment. It looked like the back of a woman, with a small red mark on her beautiful spine.

What was going on?

After studying it a bit longer, she started to get the feeling that the person in the photo was... her?

She immediately opened her photo album and found the same picture as the wallpaper. It had been taken this morning.

"Is it pretty? The crimson beauty mark on your back?"

But she’d been confused. "Where do I have a crimson beauty mark?!"

"You don’t? But it’s so pretty!"

The crucial thing was that this mark would take several days to fade.

After she finished washing up and came out, Elliot was waiting for her at the door. He teased, "Like the crimson beauty mark?"

"When it starts to fade, I’ll help you make a new one. How about it?" he added suggestively.

Georgia was so embarrassed by his words she could have died. She stomped hard on his foot and headed downstairs.

Last night, after having a little to drink, she had gone out with Elliot to watch the kids set off fireworks. Then she had a bit more to drink, and after that, her memory was a complete blank. She didn’t even know when Elliot had carried her back to the room and devoured her completely.

Miss Sheridan hadn’t gone home and had stayed the night, so she was already having breakfast when Georgia came down in the morning.

She greeted everyone and sat down next to Elliot.

After breakfast, Georgia gave out the gifts she hadn’t been able to give the night before.

Georgia started with the eldest, presenting a box. "Miss Sheridan, this is a gift for you."

She had asked Selena beforehand and learned that Miss Sheridan enjoyed Chinese opera, so she had made a special trip to buy two tickets.

The old woman was clearly pleased. She hummed in satisfaction and then took Selena Sheridan’s hand. "Selena, you can accompany me to the opera another day!"

"No way! Great-Grandma, please spare me! I can’t understand a word of that stuff!" Selena waved her hands dismissively and beat a hasty retreat.

Her gift for Sharon Ennis was a dress. Knowing her mother-in-law loved fashion, Georgia was happy to see she was delighted with the gift. Sharon immediately took off her own bracelet and gave it to her. "This was passed down to me from your grandmother-in-law. I didn’t even give it to your sister-in-law! Put it on!"

The bracelet... Just looking at its translucent, jade-green luster, she could tell it was of similar quality to the one Nancy Hughes had bought the other day.

She hurriedly waved her hands. "I can’t accept this!"

"Why not? It was going to be yours eventually anyway!" Elliot, on the other hand, accepted it on Georgia’s behalf without a fuss. He took her hand, slid the bracelet on, and said with satisfaction, "Mm, not bad. It suits you."

With the bracelet already on her wrist, Georgia gave an awkward laugh and said sweetly, "Thank you, Mom!"

Sharon Ennis smiled, satisfied, then turned to Elliot with a fierce look. "You’d better be good to Georgia, you hear me?"

James Sheridan’s gift was the hardest to choose. Georgia had deliberated for a long time before finally taking Elliot’s advice and buying a bottle of wine.

Of course, this wine was procured from Ethan Fletcher.

"Dad, this is for you." Georgia always felt nervous when facing James Sheridan.

James Sheridan took the wine and glanced at it. "What’s the vintage?"

"It’s a seven-year special brew," Elliot chimed in. "Ethan Fletcher only gave it up as a favor to Georgia."
