Shinigami ni Sodaterareta Shoujo wa Shikkoku no Ken wo Mune ni Idaku

Act XXXII - The Day of the Birth of a Teacher

A separate task force that brilliantly took over the enemy commander-in-chief, General Osvanne, and destroyed the Iron and Steel Cavalry Corps led by Lt. Gen. Georg. Olivia, under a new directive, moved west as she swept away the remaining enemies. Some of the remaining enemies looked like Mars, who murdered Major General Minute, but there's no reason for Olivia to know about it.

Separate teams were currently walking through the Plains of Illis and stepping into the plateau area leading to Fort Casper. So Otto sent a Heavy (Shoji) team to rendezvous and replenish food and wound medication. It also repaired and replaced worn weapons and armor.

"I didn't expect you to keep up the vanguard of the Fort Casper offense following the ambush. This is a great honor."

Claudia crouched in and said, looking up at the blue sky. I'm sure my parents will be proud of me. A sense of inexpensive fullness fills the mind.

"Is that the honorable thing to do?... I have no idea. I think it would be better to get a book or something tasty than that honor."

Olivia frowns as she sleeps on the meadow. Then Ashton, who was preparing the meal next door, opened his mouth dissatisfied.

"More than that, I kind of feel like I've been Olivia's diner lately?

"Uh, because Ashton's special mustard? That's so delicious, I'm gonna ask you to follow me."

When Olivia answers as she shows her white teeth, Ashton's hand stops perfectly.

"Huh, yeah. - Well, it's okay because it doesn't change the hassle for one or two of us."

Ashton slices into black bread as he loosens his cheeks. This young man is easy to understand. I'm sure the roots are honest.

With that in mind, Claudia stands her index finger.

"Hey Ashton. Wouldn't you make one for me, too?

"Huh!? Could it be that you liked the plug in between?

"Oh, it was really delicious. That mustard is really great. As much as I want to teach you how to make it."

"Right! Claudia would think so, wouldn't she!

Claudia returns with a slight grin to Olivia, who has just found her companion. Ashton, by contrast, had a strange look on his face.

"Hmm? Did I say something that bothered you?

"Not really...... Excuse me, but Master Claudia is a knight, isn't he?

"Sure, I have the title of knight, but what does that have to do with anything?

A knight is a title given to one who excels in martial arts. Not knowing how that would connect to the current story, Claudia tilted her neck.

"No, I was wondering if the knight would be eating as much better..."

"Oh, you mean that. Certainly there will be some opportunities to eat some good food compared to the civilian population. But Ashton's mustard won't take a hint at them either, will it?

"Heh heh. Really? I'll make it soon, so please wait."

Ashton, who loosened his cheeks further, sneaks a bottle of mustard out of his bag. And even began to mumble his nose. This young man is really easy to understand.

With the bread handed to her on her cheeks, Claudia was thinking about the orders given by Paul. I'm glad I was entrusted with the vanguard, but this one has about two thousand and two hundred troops. Assuming Fort Casper's force is five thousand, there is no way in itself to attack it, if it were meant to be. It is the norm to drop a regular fort with at least three times as many troops.

However, the task given to the separate task force this time is not to strike down the fort. It involves inflicting uninterrupted attacks and inviting enemy fatigue. In short, let the enemy be weakened until the unit arrives. You wouldn't even think Paul could just drop the fort with a separate squad.

"Does Ensign Olivia have any thoughts on Fort Casper's offensive?

"Ahhh? Ahhhh."

"Swallow. Then talk."

Olivia nods cocklessly at Ashton's clinging.

"─ Phew. I don't really think about it. I've been thinking about it since I saw the enemy. Does Claudia have any ideas?

"I mean thoughts... even though you have the vanguard honor, our role is to exhaust the enemy a little by the time the main unit arrives. How do you suppress soldier wear and tear?"

Answering with a view of the dining landscape of the soothing soldiers, Ashton nods as he agrees.

"Hmm. That's kind of passive...... yes! Why don't we just drop Fort Casper?

Olivia smiles like a flower and says something unscrupulous. I'd like to think it's just a joke, but I can't see the "color" joking when I peek behind my eyes for a try. Claudia sighs and opens her mouth to flatter Olivia.

"I was just wondering if even Ensign Olivia could do that. There are no siege weapons."

Unless it's a castle hammer, it's pretty hard to break through a tightly closed gate. Even if there is a broken castle gavel, the number of soldiers here is slightly uncomfortable to operate.

What's more, there's no way the enemy is watching in silence, and they'll always use various hands to obstruct it. With that in mind, the success rate is like five fifths.

"I wonder. Even if we don't have a siege weapon, I think there's as much we can do... Ashton has a plan to drop Fort Casper on our own?

"What!? You want to talk to me?

Suddenly told the story, Ashton tries to think both arms together in surprise. Claudia smiled unexpectedly at the look.

It's not like asking a soldier how much or what.

"Mm-hmm. I'm sure others will think as much as I think..."

What was said and told was as shocking as being hit in the head from behind. Olivia, who had been silently asking about Ashton's story all along,

"You know, I told you Ashton was good for military teachers, right?

When he proudly defied his chest, he answered with a full grin.

─ ─ Fort Casper

Colonel Bloom, who had been entrusted with the defense of Fort Casper, had received reports of the Royal Army march.

"Is there no room for correction in that report?

"Definitely. Several watchmen have confirmed it."

To the utterly unshakeable corporal's words, Bloom feels his back twitching and sweating. Think of what lies ahead of that word, that it should not be.

"How many enemies?

"I'm asking about 2,000."

"Two thousand? ─ ─ Probably an avant-garde unit. What's going on?

"Ko, are you succeeding?

Corporal's face turns blue.

"Answer me quickly."

"I'm sorry. He was in a hurry, so that's it..."

Gradually, my voice is getting butt-stuffed, Corporal. Bloom slapped the executive desk hard in anger.

"Idiot! You think such an excuse would work! Let me just check it out!

"Ha! Immediately!"

Bloom rings the bell that is placed on the concierge, staring at the corporal who leaves the room in a hurry. Immediately the door to the next room was quietly opened and Lieutenant Colonel Lancaster showed himself.

"Colonel, are you here?

"Oh, inform all soldiers of the march of the Royal Army. And get ready for interception."

Lancaster jumps up one eyebrow and immediately indicates his intention to understand.

"Ha, yes... but my southern army defeated in just about a week or so? I don't believe it."

"I don't know that yet. I would also like to believe that only His Excellency Osvanne does not have it..."

Osvanne's men also include the Reinforced Steel Cavalry. Lancaster's remarks are best, and I'd like to ask Bloom what kind of joke he is.

"How many enemies are there?

"There's about two thousand we can confirm right now."

Lancaster's eyes narrow.

"Two thousand... I'll have you ready to begin immediately"

When he snapped his heel back, Lancaster left the room early.

Bloom was puzzled by the reports that resulted afterwards. There is no shadow of a follow-on unit, only the first two thousand soldiers to receive a report, he said.

(What the hell is this all about? You think you can drop Fort Casper every 2,000 soldiers? Or have the Royal Army already been defeated and the surviving troops rushed in ready to crush the balls? ─ ─ No. too little information)

─ ─ Then two hours later.

Fort Casper's defense forces and separate teams met.
