Chapter 1101 - 1097: LIM JI-SOO & THE JEONG FAMILY 3
When Diamond got to the hotel, it was around 11 am, and by the time she left the hotel, it was around past twelve, noon. From the hotel, to the neighborhood where Madam Lim stays, she was stuck in the seat for two hours but she wasn’t bored at all.
With all her thinking and Andrea’s endless chattering, she was pretty much entertained. The secretary didn’t talk much and kept a distance as she sat in the front.
As for her, she was holding her phone and using it as a cover while chatting with Andrea.
"We are here!" after two hours, the secretary’s voice was finally heard.
Diamond grunt in response as she raised her head to look at the traditional modern house, she had seen on her phone earlier after her dutiful son had sent her some available pictures.
Talking about the Jeong family house, Diamond was truly amazed by its sheer grandeur.
It was nothing compared to the ancestral home she was building. Hers was more contemporary with nothing much to talk about in terms of tradition or history and yet this house was worthy quite a lot.
Why?
Because, it was a house that happen to have over a century worth of history. It has been renovated constantly over time, thus allowing the modern term to be added into it. However, its essence still carries that traditional and historical concept that was always shown in the historical dramas that most people love.
When talking about a modern-traditional residence like the Jeong’s, alongside many others. It should be known that the home usually balances ancient philosophies with cutting-edge designs.
It features compounds built around an open courtyard, utilizing natural materials like pine, clay, and paper.
The house’s grandeur shines through its sweeping, dark-tiled roofs, cascading indoor-outdoor levels, and smart integrations of natural topography.
The houses were usually in harmony with nature. That was a major difference compared to the normal luxury homes she had seen, including hers.
There was something peaceful about the place.
By the gates, there was security which was normal. The car smoothly drove into the gates, and Diamond finally witnessed the grandness she had been itching to see.
The residence happens to have central courtyards, as well as separation of quarters. Unlike in normal houses where everyone gets their own rooms or suites, in houses like these, the family members tend to have their separate courtyards which acts as their private sanctuaries.
Which means that they might be living in one place, but at times, they can’t even see each other. Because, in ever courtyard, every family member would have all the necessities required to live without relying on another courtyard’s assistance.
These courtyards come with a blend of nature, landscaped gardens and water features that follow changing seasons.
There was so much to it, that her head even felt dizzy, however she couldn’t help but applaud that mechanism as she felt that it was good for privacy. After all, in families that see importance in living together – extended family – being stuck in the same house despite having separate rooms can be quite stifling.
After all, in their culture, there can be four generations living under one roof. Wouldn’t that be better when everyone has their own courtyards or separate wings if courtyards are not possible?
Of course, this was only possible for the rich who could afford houses like these. For others, having a roof over their head was already a blessing.
While she was busy admiring the designs, inside the main courtyard, where Madam Lim and her husband stays, Lim Ji-soo heard the announcement that Diamond had arrived.
She quickly brought people outside to welcome the other party. Just because she was meeting a young woman, young enough to become her last born child, didn’t mean that she should put on airs of an elder.
She was the one seeking help, and it was only right that she shows the right attitude. Having studied Diamond, since investigating her seems futile, she knew that the young girl was someone who holds grudges and regardless of age, if you offend her, she would deal with you whether openly or in private.
Moral blackmail doesn’t work on her and her millions of fans were quite supportive of her. Such a person, can she be underestimated?
Moreover, the fact that her good friend referred Diamond to her shows that she wasn’t an ordinary person. If she was that capable of helping her son, then she would treat Diamond like an ancestor. Even if she fails to wake her son up, becoming friends wouldn’t be a bad idea.
After all, someone who can donate millions every single month without feeling any pain was someone worth befriending. Even when they were doing charity events, they had to think twice about the amount to donate, and yet, Diamond acted otherwise.
Such a person wasn’t the kind to offend.
While Lim Ji-soo was waiting there, the staff waited and were curious about which visitor was coming. Although they were unable to talk about what happens in the residence as that would cost them if ever found, that never stopped them from guessing.
They were wondering if it was any of those famous madams, or doctors, or was it the young master’s friends again?
When the black car finally came to a stop, their hearts remained beating loudly in their chests as they waited with anticipation.
They all watched as their madam walked towards the car, while the madam’s secretary, Kim Ji-an, alighted from the car before walking towards the backseat’s door and opened it as soon as she reached.
With bated breath and as the madam came closer to the car, they all gasped inwardly as they witnessed something magical.
As if there was a shining halo surrounding the guest that just arrived, they were first greeted by a pair of beautiful and long legs wearing a pair of strappy heels that seemed to elongate the legs even further.
The bright red skirt made the skin look fairer though the skin color was already different compared to theirs.
