Skeleton Knight, in Another World

Travel to Laratoia 2

The trees in the woods were cut open and appeared neglected in front of them, something very different and interesting from the human settlements.

It's a city wall surrounding the settlement. It's made of a single piece of wood. It looks like it's over thirty meters tall.

It draws a smooth curve and the top is repetitive as if it were a rat return, shaped like a wooden wave looming.

But its wooden columns, like kernels, were green enough to go to the top to be gradient, and existed as huge walls where they stood neatly and without gaps and boasted an overwhelming mass in front of them.

Its city walls surrounded it quite extensively, and at the foot of its beautiful curved wooden walls were countless sprawls of tsu, covering the lower half of its wooden walls.

As a result, a huge green wall blocks sight across the board.

The arched gate on the front is only about as wide as people line up, and not as tall. The gate is fitted with a dropping lattice that looks like it was made of lumps of metal that glow black, and it doesn't look frightening with a slight or gentle impact.

On the gate is placed an object that would be a guard, but a cylindrical shape that wants to be flat on the side, the roof is rounded, and it also looks like a mushroom.

The four girls rush out there happy to see the gate.

There are two Elf outposts on the lookout, and I can still see you talking to your neighbor by checking this one out and pointing your finger at him.

"Ha, you're finally here."

"I'm pretty tired."

Sena and Oona also finally made their way through the woods and gave a slightly relieved look as to whether they were happy to return to their realm.

"Open the door!! Arian Glennis Maple! Danka Neil Maple! Return from the rescue mission of those imprisoned by the people! Ask the elders to take over!

Arian is quietly waiting on the spot as he becomes Jen-royal in front of the gate and speaks loudly to the watchtower about his name and purpose.

Eventually the dropping lattice, like a mass of metal on the front, is pulled up, and the other dropping lattice, which was behind late, also begins to rise.

"I'll get permission from the elders, so Ark will wait here for a little while."

That's what she says, she takes four girls to Danka, Sena and Oona to go inside the gate in exchange for two Gatekeeper-like elf men who came out.

When they disappeared behind the gate, two gatekeepers stood at the front gate. One of them stares at this one slightly, but the other can see his gaze fixed on the cottonwool fox (ponta) above his head and his eyes open.

Put down the big bag of gold coins that was lowering on your shoulders a little further from the gate, and settle there hips and wait for Arian to return.

Ponta said, he is challenged by a new attempt to grab the tip of his big tail with a serious look in front of him. Set your aim on Jirijiri and Tail, twist yourself well and jump, jump.

The cat I had at home did something similar, but was this something that I used to do when I was a kid, "rules in me”?

Thinking about what doesn't matter, watching Ponta's consistently unperforming battle was getting a lot darker.

Is it about thirty minutes since then?

At the watch above the gate, the orange lighting lights up and shakes off the darkness around the area. I've never seen it in a people's city, it's a light that reminds me of a light somewhere.

No, was there something similar to Diento's Lordship Mansion...

Eventually I saw Arian coming out, illuminated by an orange light from behind the front gate.

"Ark! I got the Elder's permission! Come!"

Raise your hips to the voice and head to the gate with the big bag of gold coins. Ponta also comes from behind because of delays.

Dive the gate drop lattice behind Ariane's guide and proceed to the back. The city walls are five meters thick. Go over the other dropping lattice on the inside and into Laratoia.

It felt like a village with a slight strange impression inside.

The city walls are spacious with fields for crops and pastures that leave livestock alone, dotted with pompous and wooden houses. Unlike what you see in people's cities, houses are shaped like mushrooms. The outer circumference of the house is a bit of a high wood deck, and the house sticks out to the top of it. The pillars that support the house are carved with distinctive tattoos, offering a glimpse of its own ethnic culture.

While the long idyllic landscape, the sidewalk at your feet is laid with beautiful cobblestones and even installed at equal intervals like street lights without any anxiety at your feet.

Light paths also emerge in distant scenery, creating fantastic landscapes beneath the sky in the evening and darkness.

As far as these are concerned, the culture of life etc. looks superior to the human race.

Two warriors also silently follow behind them as they lead Arian down the village path, coming from a stuffed area that was right beside them as they entered the gate. I guess he's a watchman.

After walking across the gate, he finally got to where he wanted to be.

What you see in the front is a giant big tree, no, a building united with a big tree.

The large tree of the trunk, which is about the width of a large mansion, can be found in the front. I don't even know how the mansion of the Great Tree, made of a fusion of natural and artificial objects, was built.

However, the lights in the room are leaking out of a number of windows opened in the trunk of the great tree, as if lighted up with electrical decorations, making its beauty float in the blur and darkness.

"This is the house of the elders. Come in."

That's what Arian says. He opens both big wooden doors in the front and goes inside, prompting this one. Ponta slips into the mansion as soon as possible before this one tries to get in.

Did it even smell delicious?

Diving into the front entrance of the Great Tree Mansion, it was like a blowout hall inside. A huge column runs vertically through the center of the mansion, and a crossing hall is given around the outer perimeter of the hall to see the doors of each room up to the third floor. Looks like we can get up that crossing from the left and right stairs.

There are a number of lamps in the mansion that look like they were made of crystals, and the warm light illuminates the room. The illumination is not the same as the oil lamps used mainly in the people's cities.

Two Elves stand in the center of the hall, and Arian refrains beside them too.

One is an elf man, only in his late twenties and thirties at the age of appearance, his emerald blonde hair is a little long, and he cleverly raises one eyebrow to observe this one carefully. It stands out like a priestly garment with a tattoo that would be unique to the Elves.

The other is a woman, this one looks like a Dark Elf, just like Arian, with three knitted white, long hair hanging behind her in light purple skin. I'm wearing a piece like an ethnic costume, but at a glance I can see two hills bigger than Arian pushing them up from the bottom.

"You're Ark, aren't you? You've come a long way. I'm Dylan Targ Laratoia, head of this inside. I hear you took care of your daughter."

That's how the elf guy introduces himself and offers his right hand.

I looked at his words like I didn't think of Ariane, who was holding back beside me. In contrast, she just glanced at her shoulder a little bit.

He did say he belonged to Maple, but he didn't say he was from.

Take the man's right hand that he is Arian's father in front of him and shake his hand.

"It's Glenis Arna Laratoia, Ariane's mother. He's a hundred and seventy."

Turning her gaze to Arian again on the words of the woman who names Arian's mother, she is shaking her head small and sideways. Apparently, it's not the same as the real age, but if it's over a hundred for humans, it's not much different if it's a bit above or below.

It was a hard name to react to, but I manage to squeeze my voice out.

"The first time I saw you, Your Highness. And the Mistress. My name is Ark, and I am a traveling mercenary."

"Well, I don't even know what to stand here for. Let's have dinner upstairs, but let's talk."

Dylan, the elder of Laratoia, urges him to go upstairs that way. I agreed to it and followed him upstairs.

I guess it's the big one upstairs, the dining room, where a chair is placed on a large wooden table and you can see something like a kitchen in the back. The room smelled good coming from the kitchen.

Ponta jumps on the table all the time quickly and sits well behaved. Sit back in the seat recommended to you by Dylan, who is also your elder, and lower your luggage at your feet.

Glennis, Arian's mother, turned to the kitchen in the back, saying it would warm up the stew.

When Arian also got to his seat, Dylan, sitting face to face, lowered his head gently.

"I heard more or less from my daughter. Let me thank you on behalf of the Elves, thank you. I can't believe there was someone who could handle metastatic magic. It was an unexpected force, but it was even more unexpected that this daughter (this time) took over the lord..."

Dylan smiles bitterly as he scratches his back head. Arian is out of sight with a disgruntled look.

"There was a treaty, but ignoring it, the Lorden nobility was involved. You're not in a position to complain if they talk to you!

"Still, I guess I'll just have to say I was reckless on this one...... This time we were talking about tapping the kidnapper's stronghold, why did you even go to the lord's mansion?

To answer that question, I scratched and talked about the ninja girl I met there.

"... that's the people of Yamano. Did the people call you Beast Man? The people of Yamano are unilaterally hunted as slaves by the people."

Again, as I was previously concerned, the Beast race seemed to be the subject of persecution.

"Perhaps he is one of those called" liberators ”who are freeing the slaves of the Yamano people around. Anything. About six hundred years ago, you heard me say that the" liberators ”were descended from a group of people who had been working undercover detectives in the Leblanc Empire... Their information network is vast, unlike ours, which is closed in the woods... Cheng Cheng Cheng"

He was Dylan, who was armed with a face like one convinced, but eventually drops his shoulder.

"Anyway, if the operation was normally a success this time around, it would have been nice enough to get in touch with the center with a whispering bird... but if this were to happen, we would have to go out to the Great Presbyterian Church in the center and talk about the situation directly... It takes extra demon stones to use for the transfer team."

That's what Elder Dylan says, dropping his shoulder and sighing again.

"Oh, then there's just the right thing..."

In the large bag of gold coins that I had beside me, I pull out the luggage bag that I had thrown in with me, and I take out a stone the size of a baby's fist from inside, and I give it to Dylan. The lights in the room sparkle with a slightly purple glow.

It is the demonic stone of the Giant Basilisk who crusaded near the village of Rata for herb collection.

"Is this... okay? If it's this pure demon stone, it's a lot of fuel for a demon prop.

Dylan asks with a surprise look as he checks the demon stone in his hand.

Apparently, Demon Stone is used as fuel for demonic props, but I don't know how to use it until now, and I don't feel particularly spared because it's just something I had.

"What, in the journey, the opportunity to use the magic stone is not like that. And this is what we got at the kidnapper's base, the contract of sale for the Elves."

From the luggage bag, seven pieces of parchment, round and closed with strings, were also removed at the same time and handed to Dylan.

He avoids the demonic stone in his hand aside, unties the parchment and glances over the contents of the seven sales contracts.

"You have the same person's name written on five of the seven sheets. Drassos de Barisimon, a name I've never heard of. Later, to Lundez du Landbalt, Hurriche du Hoban. I remember saying the last Hoban was the name of a city on a street sandwiched between the Annette and Ternassos mountains..."

Dylan looked difficult and stared at the contract for a while, but eventually looked up.

"In the meantime, I'll tell the other party that I'm going to Maple tomorrow, and I'll take this report and this contract of sale with me. Since there is no formal interaction with Rhoden, we may ask Arian to gather information and rescue..."

Dylan had a bitter laugh, but Ariane had no wind that I particularly cared about, rather just a natural look on her face.

In the order of going to the centre of the Elves, I suggested to him what I wanted him to dispose of.

"Then why don't you take the gold coins we have here, too?

"But isn't that what you brought up?

Dylan gave it back with a surprise look, but to be honest, he had no choice but to interrupt. What's more, it was originally money made by selling the Elves. I have secured my share, and I will not be able to make a dignified request for the return of money that I cannot afford. It's even possible that no one knows who stole it in the first place.

Speaking to him to that effect, he had a wrinkle on his brow root for a while, but he seemed to accept it. Now, literally, the load on my shoulder went down.

"Thank you. Perhaps, but this can be guessed to buy wheat from the Grand Duchy of Limburt. Anyway, the whole of Canada is pretty much covered in woods, because it doesn't grow very well wheat. You should stay at home for a while. I'll give you permission to enter and leave Laratoia under my authority."

"Have you finished your difficult story? Shall we eat then? I made a white stew today."

After Dylan is given permission to enter and leave Laratoia inside the Elves, Glennis, Arian's mother, arranges a white stew for dinner on the table.

The likeness of a vine cage is filled with white and tender bread, and each salad is also placed on the table.

I also asked Ponta to put a stew in a special plate and tried to keep my mouth shut all the time quickly, but after the sound of the stew was hot, I sit still and wait for it to cool in front of the plate.

Dylan called me when I was getting up and worried a little in front of a plate with a delicious looking stew that was put out in front of me too.

"My daughter tells me about your body. Me and Grenis will be fine."

That's what I'm trying to encourage.

After a few thoughts, gently place the helmet beside the table. It was a slightly surprising breeze for both of us to see that it was just a big difference from what we heard, but I have recommended stew without saying anything more.

It's a lot of guts to say that there's a skeletal armor sitting in front of you that houses a pale light fire in your orbit.

As recommended, take the spoon and pour the stew. Carry the stew simmered into your mouth until the meat and vegetables are tender and through your throat. The flavour of butter, the milk flavour, spreads to the mouth, while the boiled meat dissolves inside.

Unlike hard and sour objects like those eaten in the city of the people, the white and soft bread smells slightly sweet of fruit and is close to the bread you know well.

Arian's mother seems to be a pretty good cook, hard to stop.

"It's hard to believe a skeleton eating things in front of you is Russian."

Dylan groans intriguingly watching that happen. Totally agree on that, where the hell is my stomach like my 4D pocket connected to...

"I'm glad you like it. Don't hesitate because there's a change."

"Ki-yun!

It was Ponta who was on the side who reacted first to that word of Grenis. Did the stew, which was small in quantity, cool at some point, already finished eating beautifully and seems to be hoping for a replacement. The plates are shiny.

When I took it and delivered the stew I had left myself with to the four-dimensional stomach, I offered the dish to Grenis at the same time as Arian.

"Replacement"

"I want you to take my place."

Even if I was a skeleton myself, I thought the contents were human, but for some reason I felt like I had eaten dinner as a person for a long time.

That's how my first night in La Latoia was further improved among the Elves.
