Chapter 631: He Doesn’t Even Want to Sleep with Her Anymore
Cecilia Lynch glanced back and glared at Julian Keaton, displeased, "Watch what you say!"
Julian shook his head and sighed, "I’ve been defeated too!"
Hearing Julian’s rather helpless tone, Cecilia couldn’t help but laugh.
Not bothering with him, Cecilia asked Evelyn Morgan, "Do you feel uncomfortable anywhere?"
Evelyn hadn’t even heard what Cecilia said, her gaze still fixed on Caden Lockwood.
It was probably his first time peeling, or perhaps because his hand was injured, his actions were clumsy and inexperienced, with the blade facing himself. She was really worried he would cut his own hand.
Moreover, how could this man look so handsome while doing something as small as peeling?
He slightly lowered his head, focused his gaze on the apple, and though his movements were clumsy, he was being attentive.
Sunlight streamed in from outside the window, warming his black suit.
"Hey." Cecilia whispered, her tone filled with dissatisfaction, "You’ll have a lifetime to slowly watch him. At least I’m here to see you, so please give me some respect and talk to me, okay?"
Evelyn snapped out of it, looked at Cecilia, and when she heard the word "lifetime," her eyes filled with deep sadness.
A lifetime, huh!
How could that be possible?
That heartless guy, Caden Lockwood, planned to divorce her as soon as she recovered!
As night fell, Cecilia and Julian went home first.
After Caden fed Evelyn dinner, he quickly took a few bites himself and then began to wash Evelyn’s face.
Evelyn looked at Caden. He had stayed with her all day, but had spoken very little to her.
All she could do besides sleeping was sleeping, and now, he was actually letting her sleep again.
Was he just hoping she’d get better quickly, so he could be free?
Unable to hold it in, Evelyn asked softly, "Isn’t your company busy?"
Caden’s breath hitched as Evelyn continued, "Actually, I can really manage on my own. Aunt May coming over occasionally is enough, you can go and do your own things."
"Is it because it’s not Logan Shaw accompanying you that you’re so unwilling?" Caden asked coldly.
After saying it, he regretted it.
The time they had together was limited; he didn’t want to waste any more of it on arguments.
Listening to Caden’s reply, Evelyn’s lips curled awkwardly.
"In your next life, be with Logan Shaw," Evelyn said without kindness, "One of you can become a woman! Then you can be together openly!"
Saying this, Evelyn covered her entire head with the bedding, simply feeling angry at the sight of Caden.
Caden sighed, forcibly pulled the bedding down to Evelyn’s neck, tucked her in, and then turned off the light.
The night was very quiet. Evelyn waited for Caden to come to bed.
After all, this was a VIP room; the bed was big and wide enough.
Yet in the dim light, she saw Caden sleeping fully clothed on the sofa beside her, with no intention of coming to her side.
Did he disdain her that much?
Was he unwilling to even sleep beside her anymore?
Evelyn wanted to turn over, but having moved several times today, she had learned how excruciating the pain could be and dared not be willful again.
She kept her eyes open, unable to fall asleep, staring at the ceiling absentmindedly.
She wanted to play with her phone today, but Caden had confiscated it, leaving her utterly bored!
