Chapter 601: Are You Planning to Stay by His Side for the Rest of Your Life?
Before Julian Keaton could speak, Cecilia Lynch continued, "If I were Evelyn, I’d definitely be feeling so guilty right now that I wouldn’t know what to do!"
"You women!" Julian Keaton shook his head, "Logan Shaw’s hand got injured, does that make him special?"
"What are you talking about?" Cecilia Lynch frowned in displeasure, "Even if you’re good friends with Caden, you shouldn’t confuse right and wrong! Caden Lockwood’s temper has always needed adjusting! This time he accidentally injured Logan’s hand, what if next time he accidentally takes someone’s life?"
"Okay, okay!" Julian Keaton immediately pulled Cecilia Lynch into his embrace, "Let’s not argue about this! Cece, you’re right. You’re always right. It’s Caden’s fault, and he really does need to change his temper!"
Then Julian Keaton added, "But because of this incident, their relationship with Evelyn shouldn’t suffer, right?"
Cecilia was frustrated and lightly punched Julian Keaton’s chest.
She was Evelyn Morgan’s friend, of course, she knew what Evelyn was upset about right now.
Yet somehow, men’s minds seemed completely different from theirs!
Would Caden Lockwood apologize to Logan Shaw, and then find a way to help him?
Cecilia was gloomy.
She thought, Caden Lockwood definitely wouldn’t!
Caden Lockwood forcefully led Evelyn Morgan away, walking a long distance, while Evelyn remained silent, jogging to keep up with Caden’s pace.
Finally, Caden Lockwood stopped, his handsome face full of obvious anger.
He spoke bitterly, "What? You really want to stick by Logan Shaw and kiss up to him? Do you want to stay by his side, take care of him until his hand heals? If his hand never heals, are you prepared to stay with him for a lifetime?"
"Can you speak without barbs?" Evelyn Morgan spoke softly.
She looked at the red mark on her arm from Caden Lockwood’s grip, her eyes dimming further.
"You injured Logan Shaw, that’s a fact. Are you really not feeling even a bit guilty?" Evelyn Morgan asked.
She didn’t want Caden Lockwood to be such a cold-blooded man.
Although he was good to her, when he was ruthless, he was equally untouchable.
Caden Lockwood stood proudly, appearing sarcastic about Evelyn’s words.
Guilt?
Hah!
"Caden." Evelyn Morgan stepped forward, "Although it wasn’t your intention for Logan Shaw’s hand to get broken, he is indeed injured now, and it even caused the important concert he cared about to not take place successfully. Can’t you have the mindset of someone who made a mistake, not be so arrogant, and come with me to see if there’s something we can do to make up for it?"
"Make up?" Caden Lockwood’s lips curled into a dangerously wicked smile, "Are you sure he’s really hurt? And even if he is, are you sure it was really me who hurt him that time? Since he knows his hand wasn’t healed, why didn’t he postpone the concert?"
Hearing Caden Lockwood’s questioning, Evelyn Morgan became even angrier.
"Is that all you ever have—these dark suspicions and questions?" Evelyn Morgan snapped, "Logan Shaw would absolutely not joke about this concert! He’s not the kind of person who would do something like this on purpose!"
Then, she continued, "Can’t you see? He’s trying very hard to carry out the concert; it’s his hand that didn’t allow it! That feeling of sacrificing everything for your dream, can’t you understand it just a little bit?"
