Chapter 1017: Against the Tier-7 Crocodile Beast

The cave opening was attacked by something all of a sudden. Rocks and debris fell down. The shock force reverberated through the area.
Jeremy Night felt the impact force, but he controlled himself. He was worried about the worst outcome, but he didn’t expect one of the beasts to notice.
He didn’t know whether it was a Tier-6 or Tier-7 beast. He had yet to see the beast’s appearance.
At this time, the heavy downpour of rain was slowing down. The other beasts went past the cave like it was nothing, but this one beast was attacking.
He didn’t know whether he was exposed. He came outside a little to check on the beast.
Boom!
Jeremy Night saw a huge tail strike the top of the cave again. This time, cracks formed and began to extend all over the walls.
He knew the cave was going to collapse. He didn’t wait any longer. He exited the cave with a blade in his hand.
"Explosive Steps!"
He used Explosive Steps to move 100 meters away. When he turned around, he saw a massive crocodile beast.
The beast swept its tail at the cave structure. The cave, which was already on the verge of collapse, was struck by the tail again.

The next second, the small cave structure completely collapsed.
Jeremy Night, on the other hand, was observing the beast. The massive beast stood 7 meters tall up to the shoulder, and its length was over 15 meters.

He became clear-headed and controlled himself. He looked around and found that there were other Tier-7 Beasts nearby.
His gaze fell on a Tier-7 Green Spider. Its eight massive, tall legs were clearly visible. But the spider and other beasts were 500 meters away.

He turned around and used "Feathered Steps" to move away from the place.

The Tier-7 Crocodile Beast saw the human target. The next second, it opened its mouth wide. A massive tornado appeared in its mouth.
The appearance of the tornado in its mouth created a wide shock force that rippled through the area.
The nearby vegetation and canopies were crushed down.
Even the other Tier-7 beasts nearby were alerted. They didn’t know why one of the beasts was using an ability.
They were fleeing from the border area because they sensed the presence of a Tier-9 beast. If they continued to stay here, they would be commanded by the Tier-9 Beast.

The other beasts, having felt the presence of the Tier-9 at the border, continued to flee, ignoring the Tier-7 Crocodile.
Jeremy Night felt the shadow of death gripping his heart.
He was now more than 600 meters away from the beast, yet he still felt the lethal danger. He slightly turned around and saw the massive tornado in the mouth of the crocodile.

He immediately began to use a different movement method. Instead of going in a straight direction, he decided to change course.
But before that, he waited for the beast to aim. He kept getting away from the beasts, looking back from time to time.

The Tier-7 Crocodile Beast shot out the wind tornado attack. The power released from its mouth surged forward like a beam.

His heart stirred up a storm. If he got caught in the attack, he would be worse than dead.
If he delayed any further, the attack would reach him fast.

He abruptly changed direction, dashing to his left side. He had barely crossed 50 meters when...,

The tornado surged forward, creating a path of destruction. The shock force rippled through on both sides.
The shock force traveled so fast that Jeremy Night, despite using his movement technique, was hit by the shockwave.

He was caught off guard. His body was thrown off path, crashing into the green bushes near a tree.
The ground was filled with muddy water. He was once again drenched in the mud, lying on the ground in a similar fashion.
Just like earlier when he was swept away by the impact force of the Tier-8 Eagle Beast, Jeremy Night felt searing pain assaulting his body.
All of this happened within a minute.

The Tier-7 Crocodile Beast roared out loud. Seeing the clear path of destruction, it thought the human target must have been killed already.

The beast thought of checking, but just then, it felt a booming sound from the border. The sound reminded the beast of something terrible in that direction.
It looked around and found that it was the only beast left behind. The other Tier-7 beasts were moving ahead of it.

Seeing that, the beast immediately rushed off from the place. It wanted to catch up to its companions, though it had caused quite a bit of destruction in that short timeframe.
Only after the beast left did peace and tranquility return to the area. The heavy downpour of rain was gone, replaced by a gentle drizzle.
On the other hand, Jeremy Night no longer heard the loud footsteps, indicating that the Tier-7 Crocodile Beast had left.
He was worried that the beast would come and check on him, but for some reason, it had left the area.
Jeremy heaved a sigh of relief. He had thought about handling a Tier-7 Beast, but he was exposed to cruel reality.
Not all Tier-7 beasts were the same. Some were far more dangerous, like the crocodile that could use an ability.
