Chapter 968: Battle at the Bedrock

The Tier-6 Worm Beast reached the area. It found out that the human Beast Tamer had escaped into one of the crevices.
It tried to find the target. Eventually, it found the target hiding in the deep end of the passage. The beast arrived in front of the crevice.
Its huge body moved forward. But its body size was larger than the crevice.
Boom!
The collision broke the walls. It caused the debris to fall down. The beast couldn’t enter the gap.
Meanwhile,
Jeremy felt the tremor again. He used his eye power and saw that massive beast blocking the entrance. Just as he had expected, the worm beast couldn’t enter the place.
He was expecting the disturbance to alert other beasts. If not, he wanted the worm beast to give up.
As time passed, the fallen rocks began to cover the entrance. The passage entrance was getting blocked slowly.
It didn’t take long for the whole path to be blocked.
When the Tier-6 Beast realized that the entrance was no more, the Tier-6 Worm Beast used its ability again.
Half of its body submerged underground.
Boom!
It tried to dig its way through the entrance. But the whole bedrock structure was getting damaged. The noise was also spreading across the place.
The higher-tier beasts in the vicinity were alerted by the sound. Some of them were attracted to the noise and moved toward the place.
The worm beast was not naive. It could sense other corrupted beasts in the surroundings. They were all coming toward this one place.
The Tier-6 Worm Beast had problems with other higher-tier beasts. It could not stay here for a longer time.
It didn’t take long for the higher-tier beasts to reach the place. They included the snake beast, spider beast, and ape beast nearby.
The worm beast had problems with these other beasts. The worm beast had destroyed their habitat before, so these beasts wouldn’t leave it alone.
The Tier-6 Worm Beast then moved underground and left the place in the blink of an eye.
Not long after, the roaring sound of the ape beast was heard. It reached the place and found the signs of the worm beast.
Growl!
The ape let out a growl. It further smashed the bedrocks. The broken stones fell further down to the ground.
The towering spider beast and snake beast appeared in the distance. After seeing the ape beast, they didn’t get close.
The other two beasts sensed each other’s location as well. They waited before leaving the place.
Boom!
The ape beast was furious. It further smashed down the place. Because of the attack, the rocks fell down and covered the passage.
Meanwhile,
Jeremy Night sheathed his blade. He didn’t expect the ape beast to appear. Now the rocks were falling from the ceiling. They would cover this space as well.
If he didn’t take any action, then he could be buried under the rubble. So, he decided to use "Star Fist" to break the wall.
If he broke the last wall, then he could leave the place. He circulated the starlight power through the route mentioned in the technique.
In a flash, his right hand was covered in starlight power. Jeremy Night felt beaming energy in his right arm.
Boom!
Without further ado, he slammed his right fist into the wall. The next second, the Star Fist blasted away the wall.
It created a huge hole in the wall. He exited the place. When he came to the other side, he saw an open field. If he moved away from the place, then he would be exposed.
He could become the target of other beasts. Each higher-tier beast had its own advantages and disadvantages.
He was standing close to the bedrocks. He could hear the collapsing of the passages. Eventually, the whole bedrock would collapse.
He didn’t mind and continued to wait for the beasts to leave. Not long after, the loud roaring sound of the ape beast disappeared.
Eventually, he used his eye power to confirm that the ape beast had left the place. He sighed in relief.
Then he collected his thoughts. He waited there for 20 minutes longer. He was about to leave, but he recalled his purpose for coming here.
He wanted to find natural resources. He had not found any so far.
Then, he used his second eye power to scan the place especially because he wanted to verify whether the place had any hidden natural resources or not.
As he continued to scan the place, he found something at the end of the first passage.
But the first passage had collapsed as well. He could not go through the entrance. He left the place to observe the entrance.
A few minutes later,
He arrived in front of the first crevice. The entrance was blocked with broken rocks. He used his second eye power to check whether the second entrance to the passage end was there or not.
But there was no such second entrance. After confirming that, he decided to go to the back side.
Not long after coming to the back side,
Hiss!
Just then, he heard a loud hissing sound. His senses alerted him. He turned around and saw the towering snake beast coming toward him.
Seeing that, his expression changed drastically.
He unsheathed his blade. He covered the blade’s edge in starlight power. In a flash, the massive snake beast got closer to him.
"Explosive Steps!"
He used the movement method. The natural force burst from his feet. The force propelled him forward.
He shifted his body weight and avoided a head-on collision. He moved sideways to strike.
The Snake Beast was a Tier-6 brown beast. It had a wider body compared to other snake beast species.
Cut!
After coming closer to its flank, he swung the blade at the beast. The blade’s edge cut through the flesh.
Pfff!
The flesh split open. A torrent of blood gushed forth from the wound and splattered across the ground.
He was helpless against the worm beast, but it was a different story with the snake beast.
