Chapter 975: Testing the advanced blade skill

After recovering, he decided to fight again. His arms and legs were not hurting anymore.

He stood up from the place. Then he picked a direction. He was going to search the surrounding area.
He used his second eye power. He could not see any other corrupted beasts. He decided to travel further.
He knew the strength of the worm beast. It might be easily killable for him, but it was a different matter for others.
He had seen the Tier-6 Worm beast crush an entire team and their Lifeline beast. So, the number of worm beasts targeting the special base was high.
As time passed, he began to look for more worm beasts. He believed he would come across another beast soon.
Instead, he came across hybrid four-legged Tier-5 beasts.
His blade skill had already entered the advanced stage. He decided to test it against these Tier-5 beasts.
Swoosh!
He moved towards the group of Tier-5 Hybrid beasts. They were over 3 meters in size. He unsheathed his blade.
He decided not to use his starlight power. He wanted to use pure blade skills to slay the beasts.
The four hybrid beasts were tearing apart the corpse of another fallen beast. They were busy fighting among themselves for a piece of flesh.
They suddenly sensed the appearance of the Human Beast Tamer.
Roar!
They made a weird sound before turning towards the human. He saw their bloodshot eyes and deadly rows of teeth.
He was not afraid. He gripped the blade handle tightly.
Swoosh!
One of the beasts charged at him. The speed of the beast was high. It reached him in the blink of an eye.
Claw!
The hybrid beast raised a claw all of a sudden and swept at him.
Jeremy Night sidestepped to avoid the mouth of the beast. The beast tried to bite him, but he escaped. The beast bit the empty air.
Slash!
Right then, he attacked the beast. The blade moved fast, cleaving the shoulder of the beast. Blood spurted from the wound.
Slash!
Jeremy then made a reverse strike. His blade control and precision in attack were swift.
The blade swept across the body and severed blood vessels. Blood gushed forth from the wound.
Thud!
The beast fell to the ground. It was not dead, yet the two open gashes caused it to fall.
Swoosh!
Next, his gaze fell on the other three beasts. This time, the beasts were standing in an attacking stance. They darted toward him.
"Explosive Steps"
He used the footwork to move forward. In the blink of an eye, they came in contact with each other.
Pfff!
He swung the blade. The blade strike was lightning-fast. It split open the neck of the beast.
He didn’t stop. While running, he made a reverse strike. The blade’s edge directly penetrated the flesh.
He then encountered the next beast. He jumped high. He avoided the claws before driving the blade into the back of the beast.
Pfff!
In a flash, the blade plunged into the back of the beast.
Next, the beast collapsed to the ground. But he didn’t look down at the beast. His gaze fell on the last beast.
It almost reached his head. He crouched down and withdrew the blade. At the same time, he moved the blade faster because of the advanced stage.
Before the last beast could land on the ground, his blade grazed past its abdomen. A long horizontal line appeared along the bottom of the beast.
Pfff!
Blood flowed out from the wound as well. The last beast landed on the ground with an injury. It all happened within one or two minutes.
He was able to unleash the attacks in a short span of time, all because of his advanced blade skills.
Next, he stood up and followed the same pattern again. The blade appeared to be dancing in mid-air, but it was actually rising upward after landing a strike.

The following strikes increased. It didn’t take long for all the four-legged beasts to die. He killed all the beasts in under five minutes.
It was his best record against Tier-5 beasts in a group fight. If others learned about this record, they would be shocked to the core.
He had wanted to test his advanced blade skills, and it had turned out well. He was able to complete the battle in a short time.
That was without relying on starlight power. If he had used starlight power, the battle would have ended even faster.

If he had targeted their weak spots, the beasts might have collapsed faster. After gathering his thoughts, he decided to resume his journey.
It didn’t take long for him to feel tremors again, a sign of another worm beast. He paused his footsteps and began to observe the surroundings with his second eye power.
He saw a worm-type beast moving underground.

It was coming toward him. He gripped the blade again and covered the blade’s edge in starlight power.
Starlight threads were added to the blade edge one after another.
The worm beast appeared above the surface. The ground cracked, and the cracks extended further.
It was over 4 meters in size, a Tier-5 worm beast. It was another beast to test his power.

Both of them came in contact with each other in the blink of an eye. He used his footwork to avoid a head-on clash.
Next, he plunged the blade into the neck of the beast.
