Chapter 1873: Android
"This is the device you’ve requested." Devonio took out a small device. It wasn’t a smartphone as Nathan thought it would be.
Instead, it was just a small cylinder.
However, the moment Nathan touched it, the small cylinder expanded, creating a frame similar to that of a smartphone with an empty space in the middle.
Then, a screen formed in that gap, which truly made it look like a smartphone.
Surprisingly, the screen could be touched. It was as if he was pushing a screen, but if he applied a bit more strength into it, his fingers would pass through the screen.
’I didn’t expect this, but well, it’s amazing.’ Nathan was impressed by their technology, but this was considered a primitive device.
Nathan asked, "What can it do?"
"Allow me to explain." Suddenly, a maid avatar appeared. This time, it wasn’t Zeta. Nathan was quite surprised because it was the maid avatar of the android he had made last night.
The maid avatar had long blond hair and purple eyes. Her face was devoid of emotion, with a mole beneath her lip. Her hair was tied into a low ponytail that rested gently in front, giving her a contrast between the calm beauty and an innocent face.
Her setting would make her remain calm at all times as though nothing could bother her.
Nathan didn’t say it, but he was actually creating the perfect maid that had been in his mind for a long time. The calm and collected maid with an eternal poker face, but this maid was more known as an assassin maid.
There were a lot of hidden weapons underneath her skirt, but it was too hard to grab something underneath a long skirt, so he made the skirt slightly above her knees. It gave her a modest but elegant look.
"..." Nathan narrowed his eyes. "I guess privacy is not a thing."
Zeta politely bowed to him. "I apologize, human god. You have made a very interesting maid, one that is not common among us. In fact, we believe that it will be more pleasant for her to replace me to accompany you during your trip in the empire."
Another maid entered the room. This was the maid he really created, the true body of the avatar in the phone.
Selena and the others already looked at each other, not knowing what Nathan had done.
The maid politely bowed to Nathan. "Ivoyne greets her creator."
"Don’t you think we need an explanation here?" Selena asked, her gaze extremely cold.
Nathan remained calm because panicking while explaining would just destroy his credibility. He explained, "I got to take a look at the things they could sell to us, including an android assistant. So, I looked at it and tried to make one, but I only entered the information.
"Do you know there is a monkey in your brain called Rational Thought? When you wanted to do something abnormal, your brain would send an impulse to do that, but your rational thought would see the pros and cons. So, I fulfilled my curiosity and rejected it because that was what I should do."
"So, you’re saying you even thought about it?" Selena narrowed her eyes. "You even took your time to enter the information."
Nathan admitted it. "Indeed."
Selena was glaring at him, as if his explanation wasn’t enough.
"So..."
Nathan sighed. "Well, you can find a lot of things beautiful, but it’s another matter whether you are doing it or not."
Selena narrowed her eyes. It would be problematic to continue this, so Selena sighed. "You’re off the hook for now because you haven’t done it through. I guess there’s no such thing as privacy in this empire."
Before anyone could respond, the lightning surged and spread all over Flora’s body. In an instant, the electricity surge had caused Zeta to overload and drop to the ground as though her circuits had been fried.
All the lights and many androids in the mansion turned off.
"!!!" Devonio and Meredith panicked. Flora had said it before, but they never thought she could actually do it.
With the mansion going down, they realized that Flora’s claim was actually real.
If she truly wanted to, she could cause catastrophic damage to the empire.
"Should I bring this empire down? To think they don’t even respect their guests." Flora’s entire body had been covered in lightning as if the lightning was happy to be around her.
"I-I..." Devonio didn’t know what was going on. He had to apologize first and calm them down, but Nathan acted first. "That’s enough for now, Selena, Flora."
Flora glared at Nathan. "You’ve promised."
"Which is why I didn’t do the most important step. I know my limits." Nathan nodded. "It’s only at the level of warning. Once they do the same thing again, I guess splitting this world into two shouldn’t be a problem."
"..." Flora fell silent as if she were assessing whether she should follow Nathan’s request or punish the empire.
Then again, it was normal for the empire to spy on them. The surveillance of this empire was simply much better than any domains they had come across so far.
Flora took a deep breath. "Fine."
Nathan let out a long sigh. "This is rather a disappointing move from the empire."
Once Flora stopped releasing her power, the electricity returned, but some androids couldn’t get up anymore. One of them was Zeta.
On the other hand, Ivoyne was still intact. Nathan put all the highest-grade materials into her body after all, as if he knew the kind of things that could destroy her.
Ivoyne lowered her head. "On behalf of the empire, I’d like to extend my apology."
Nathan shook his head. "No need. We will just take a look around here without anyone accompanying us. I will have to reconsider your request in defeating that alien as well."
Nathan turned to Flora and Selena. "We can talk later. So, are we going?"
Selena and Flora were angry at him, but they knew that it was a matter of dignity. If they wanted to punish Nathan, they could punish him when no one was around.
Besides, Nathan wasn’t the type of person to lie to them. He must have entered the information, but he hasn’t done the last step, which is to create Ivoyne.
In the end, all five of them disappeared in an instant.
