Xu Yun rode a little yellow bike all the way to the restaurant. When he arrived, he noticed that aside from its prime location, the place didn’t look particularly expensive.

Just as he was wondering about it, he felt a pat on his back.

"Xu Yun?"

Xu Yun turned to see his college classmate, Chen Yang. Dressed in casual clothes and sneakers, he didn’t quite look like the successful professional Xu Yun had imagined.

Chen Yang grinned. "It’s been a few years! You look exactly the same. Haven’t changed a bit."

"You’ve packed on a few pounds, though."

Xu Yun retorted, "What, afraid I’d get lost? Did you come out here just to meet me?"

"Yeah, everyone’s here. We were just waiting on you."

Chen Yang replied, "I just came out to see if you’d arrived."

"I ran into a supervisor on the way over. He wanted to chat for a bit, so I was delayed."

"No problem."

Chen Yang glanced at the bike Xu Yun was on and said with a teasing laugh, "You came on a little yellow bike? I thought you said you were going to be a man who drives a Mercedes-Benz."

"That was just college bragging. You actually took that seriously?"

Xu Yun chuckled. "What? Now that you’ve made it big and are actually driving a Benz, you’re looking down on us regular folks?"

"Like hell I am."

Chen Yang swore good-naturedly, pointing to a nearby row of little yellow bikes. "Look," he said with a sigh, "everyone rode one of these here today. You’d think we’d planned it."

"Hahaha..."

Xu Yun couldn’t help but laugh. "Looks like everyone is as low-key as me."

"Enough chatting, let’s head in. Everyone’s waiting for the food to be served."

Chen Yang said, "Before I came out, they were all complaining about how hungry they were. It’s like they haven’t eaten all day and just came here to freeload."

"Well, you’re the one with deep pockets."

Chen Yang led Xu Yun to a private dining room.

Eight people were already at the table; only their two spots were left.

"Xu Yun!"

A classmate joked, "Back in school, you were always the last one to show up for class. And now, you’re the last one to arrive at a reunion dinner."

"What can I say? Old habits die hard. Sorry to keep you waiting. Let’s eat."

Xu Yun acknowledged them and was about to grab a random empty seat, but Chen Yang beat him to it.

"This is my seat. Your seat is over there."

After speaking, he gave a knowing smile.

Xu Yun was speechless.

Seeing this, the others all started laughing and chimed in, "That’s right! We saved a special seat for you, so don’t just sit anywhere."

"Uh... I’m so grateful."

Xu Yun glanced at a beautiful woman at the table and casually walked over to sit beside her.

It was Ye Fei, the former belle of their department back in college.

While everyone knew her, she hadn’t actually been in their class.

’I wonder why Chen Yang invited her!’

Ye Fei looked at Xu Yun, showing no hint of shyness. She smiled and asked probingly, "What’s the matter, scared to sit next to me? Worried your girlfriend will find out and give you hell?"

"Nope."

Xu Yun grinned. "My girlfriends are all very understanding."

"Girlfriends???"

Hearing this, Ye Fei couldn’t help but laugh. "It seems my dear Handsome Xu has acquired quite a few girlfriends since he started working."

"Not that many right now. Ten, at most."

"Hahaha..."

Another female classmate laughed. "You’re not talking about your left and right hands, are you? That would make exactly ten fingers!"

"You get me."

Xu Yun gave her a thumbs-up and shot back, "Don’t tell me you have ten boyfriends, too?"

"Get out of here!"

The female classmate got the joke. Blushing, she retorted playfully, "I have a serious boyfriend, thank you very much! He’s a civil servant, and we’re planning to get married at the end of the year."

"Well, congratulations."

Xu Yun grinned. "But don’t invite me to the wedding. Just let me know when you have the baby’s one-month celebration. I’ll definitely show up and give your son a huge red envelope."

"Get lost!"

The female classmate said indignantly, "You just can’t stand to see me happy, can you?"

"Xu Yun, you’re terrible!"

Chen Yang chimed in, "She chased you back in college, and you gave her the cold shoulder. Now that she’s getting married, are you regretting it?"

"I do regret it. Wonder if I still have a chance."

"As if! No one believes you."

The female classmate laughed and suggested, "However, you could try pursuing the gorgeous Ye Fei next to you. She’s single right now, you know."

"It’s one thing to make fun of me, but be careful you don’t make the lady angry."

"That’s right."

Ye Fei joined in with a laugh. "If you want to play matchmaker for him, go ahead. Why drag me into it?"

"That’s true. You’re a wild horse, and Xu Yun doesn’t have a prairie."

The female classmate blurted out, "With your spending habits, I’m not sure Xu Yun could actually afford you."

As soon as she said that, the atmosphere in the room instantly grew awkward.

The female classmate realized she’d misspoken and quickly tried to explain. "Xu Yun, that’s not what I meant. It’s just... you know I have no filter. Please don’t take it to heart."

Xu Yun just smiled faintly.

’Only my broke self would be embarrassed by that. Being rich, I don’t care at all, and I certainly don’t feel like I’ve lost any face.’

But everyone else thought he was just putting on a brave face, that his pride had actually been wounded.

Chen Yang quickly stood up and raised his glass, trying to smooth things over. "It’s been a long time since we’ve all gotten together. I don’t think anyone drove here today, so bottoms up!"

"To long time no see!" everyone echoed, and they all took a drink.

After that, everyone went back to eating and chatting, talking about their work and their lives.

After all, they hadn’t seen each other in years.

Even though they all lived in the same city, between work and the trivialities of daily life, nobody had the time to get together unless someone organized it.
