Chapter 490 - 222: Sigh, So You Still Want to Use a Honey Trap on Me
As the ghost stories escalated, Fu Baoying had unconsciously moved her chair closer and closer to Xu Yun, until she was right next to him.
Xu Yun seized the opportunity to laugh. "President Fu, you’re not scared, are you?"
"I... I’m not scared!"
Fu Baoying said defiantly, "They’re just stories. I know you’re telling them on purpose just to scare me!"
"Then why are you sitting so close to me?"
"It’s cold and windy here at night. I just moved closer to get out of the wind."
Xu Yun said, "Really not scared?"
"Not scared."
"Then you can sit here by yourself. I’m going back to the RV to sleep." With that, Xu Yun stood up and headed for the RV.
"Wait for me! I’m going to bed too."
Xu Yun turned to look at her. "This RV only sleeps two people."
"Don’t think I don’t know this RV. This model can sleep four people!"
Xu Yun: "Men and women should keep their distance. It wouldn’t be appropriate."
"I don’t mind."
"I mind."
Xu Yun said, "Unless you pay. The fee is ten thousand per night."
"Fine. I agree."
Hearing this, Xu Yun keyed in the password at the door. Once it opened, he stood aside and said with a smile, "Esteemed President Fu, welcome to the motor inn."
Fu Baoying was speechless.
’She didn’t get it. Xu Yun obviously wasn’t short on money, so why was he so insistent on charging her for everything?’
’Was he just trying to annoy her?’
’How childish!’
Once Fu Baoying was inside, Xu Yun turned to look at Lin Wanzhou. "Old Lin, aren’t you coming in?"
"I wouldn’t want to get in the way of you two."
Lin Wanzhou replied, "I’ll just catch a few winks out here. I’ll wake you before sunrise so you can see the snow-capped mountains."
"Alright then."
Xu Yun said, "You can sleep during the day tomorrow. I’ll drive."
Thanks to the excellent insulation, it was actually quite warm inside the RV—too warm to keep a heavy jacket on.
After boarding and taking off her jacket, Fu Baoying’s figure was suddenly on full display. With her alluring curves, she was breathtakingly sexy.
The RV wasn’t that big, and Xu Yun was anything but subtle about looking his fill.
Fu Baoying pretended not to mind, looking around the interior. "This RV of yours is quite well-equipped."
"It’s a case of being small but having it all."
Xu Yun said, "Just to be clear, using anything in this RV costs ten thousand a pop."
"..."
Fu Baoying was too exasperated to even reply. She looked at the coffee machine to the side and said, "Do you have any coffee beans? I’m going to make some coffee."
She had a habit of drinking a cup of coffee before bed.
While others drank coffee to stay awake, she drank it to help her sleep.
"Yeah, in the drawer on the left."
Xu Yun, sitting on the sofa, added a warning, "Just a heads-up, the coffee made from those beans isn’t very good."
"That’s fine."
Under the circumstances, Fu Baoying wasn’t about to be picky. As long as it was drinkable, she was fine with it; she would’ve even settled for a packet of instant coffee.
But when she opened the drawer and saw a dozen or so bags of "Carmen Coffee" beans, she was taken aback.
When it came to coffee, Fu Baoying was an expert. She knew these were relatively rare beans; the entire annual yield was sold off by auction.
To the highest bidder.
’On the market right now, a single bag of these beans would probably fetch tens of thousands.’
’And he was complaining about beans like this?’
Without another word, Fu Baoying started grinding the beans. Her movements were deft and practiced, suggesting she did this often at home.
A few moments later, a pot of coffee was brewed.
Fu Baoying poured herself a cup and took a small sip to taste it. It was pretty good.
She asked Xu Yun, "Want some? It’s actually pretty good."
"I don’t drink that stuff. You can have it."
"I’m only having one cup."
Fu Baoying said, "Then I’ll take the rest to Mr. Lin. It’s cold out, so some hot coffee will warm him up and keep him alert."
"Take a blanket out to him for me while you’re at it."
"Alright."
With that, she opened the door and took the rest of the coffee and the blanket outside.
Seeing Fu Baoying emerge, Lin Wanzhou smiled. "President Fu, is something the matter?"
"Mr. Lin, President Xu wanted you to have this blanket."
After handing him the blanket, Fu Baoying added, "And this is some coffee I just brewed. The flavor’s not bad. Have some while you’re waiting."
"Okay, thank you."
Lin Wanzhou shared Xu Yun’s aversion to this particular coffee.
But not wanting to be rude, he took a sip right in front of her.
It was bitter at first, but after he swallowed, it left a faint, sweet aftertaste.
’Huh? Why isn’t it sour anymore?’
Lin Wanzhou asked in confusion, "President Fu, did you use the beans from the drawer?"
"That’s right. Carmen Coffee beans."
Fu Baoying said, "These beans aren’t cheap, and they taste great. And your President Xu just tosses them aside and refuses to drink it? What a waste."
Lin Wanzhou: "..."
’Could it be that I just brewed it wrong last time?’
