Chapter 354 - Father's Mercy and Son's Famous Scene, It's All the World's Fault

Sensing Odin's stern gaze, Loki moved quietly to retreat behind Thor.

The King of Asgard was in the midst of his anger, ready to find an unlucky fellow to vent his emotions.

Crashing into him at this point would undoubtedly be self-defeating.

"Father, I'm disappointed in you as well."

Thor was somewhat unable to accept this, and his eyes, which were bursting with electricity, were not dimmed.

Odin's image in his heart had always been that of a radiant, brilliant, benevolent and wise great king.

But that reply just now ruthlessly punctured Saul's illusions.

"Insolent!"

Odin shouted, and a thick thunderbolt descended from the sky and struck at Thor.

The latter subconsciously raised his Mjolnir, but was surprised to find that the weapon he used to wield like an arm was now so heavy that it was difficult to lift.

Boom!

The thunderbolt was like a dragon, gaping and clawing, deadly wrapped around Saul's tall body.

"Myriad Nir is the honor I bestow upon you!"

Odin's icy gaze, peering down from on high, carried a complex meaning of contempt and loss.

"I can give it to you, or I can deprive you of it."

Clang!

Mjolnir fell to the rainbow bridge deck.

No longer responding to Saul's call!

Losing his weapon, his body was like a heavy shackle on top of each other.

The blazing lightning struck his body like needles pricking, causing an incessant stinging sensation.

Still, Saul did not succumb.

Avenger, girlfriend Jane... familiar figures flashed through his mind.

The muscles of his arms pulsed, like bulging hills.

Powering and roaring, they broke free of the lightning shackles.

Slightly appalled, Odin turned to delight and teased, "Thor, you've finally realized that you're the God of Thunder and not the God of Hammers."

"Father, please give me a chance! Let me travel to the Atrium World!"

Breaking free of that lightning shackle, Saul no longer disobeyed Odin, instead kneeling on one knee and lowering his head.

He had figured out that nothing good would come from rashly confronting the King of Asgard.

"How stubborn."

Odin shook his head and said to Loki, "Drag your stupid and reckless brother, who never knows how to look to the future, down with me!"

"Destroying Earth is not just about protecting Asgard, it's also about protecting you, Saul."

"Perhaps today, you cannot understand the decisions I have made."

"Wait until later, when you sit in this position and you will understand."

"A worthy king must know how to switch identities."

"Facing his people, show mercy and majesty."

"Facing his enemies, return strength and violence."

"It is a duty, but not an obligation, to guard the Nine Realms and the Middle World."

"When necessary, we can shed our duty, understand?"

Odin lamented the waste of time, unwilling to continue his confrontation with Thor.

He wielded Gungnir, and the power of the runes transformed into heavy metal chains, binding his disobedient eldest son solidly.

Asgard's all-powerful Heavenly Father, the mighty Supreme God-King of the Nine Realms, was truly angry, and Saul could not fight against it.

The seemingly back-and-forth father-son confrontation just now was nothing more than Odin's leniency towards his own son.

"Saul, I can't help you, it's better to honestly accept this harsh reality."

Loki shrugged his shoulders and gave a wink to the three warriors of the fallen fairy palace.

In Asgard, Odin's will was above all else, and no one could break it.

"Locked up in the lower prison of the Immortal Palace, let the insane reckless man reflect on himself."

The wrinkles on Odin's face seemed to have deepened a bit.

Destroying a world with one's own hands required a strong enough psychology.

Faced with billions of dead souls howling and dying, no cold, hard heart could make such a decision.

"Father, you're a cold-blooded butcher, you... whimper."

Odin's cold eyes glanced up, the power of the runes surged and changed, and strips of metal sealed Saul's mouth.

As far as he was concerned, there was no such thing as an overnight vendetta between father and son.

Saul didn't understand now, just because he was too young.

Time would wash away everything, and the long life of the Asa Clan would make him forget the human woman of the Atrium World and the azure planet that had turned to dust.

The three warriors of the Senya lifted the constantly struggling Thor and drifted away.

"Heimdall, how is the process of filling the Rainbow Bridge with energy coming along?"

Taking care of his disobedient son, Odin descended high into the air and landed on the bridge.

"Sixty percent, about a day or so to go."

Heimdall replied.

The Rainbow Bridge was Asgard's ultimate weapon.

It was able to extract the vast energy of the World Tree, tearing apart the barriers of space and teleporting at a fixed point.

Likewise, it could use this destructive power to level and crush a planet.

"Very well. Saul he doesn't know how powerful Kull is, nor does he understand how terrifying the serpent will become when it awakens and draws the fear of billions of creatures."

Odin sighed in frustration.

His brother, Kull, the serpent of fear, had become brutal and warlike after he took the throne back then.

At that time, Asgard, the Asa God Clan, and the Warner God Clan each had many gods.

As a result, a third of them died at the hands of Serpent Kull!

Like the God of Storms, the God of the Sky, the God of the Forest... and so on.

With their bones, the serpent Kull forged eight hammers of fear.

Odin, in order to stop his brother's atrocities from continuing, went to the base of the World Tree, sacrificed one of his eyes, and hung upside down under the tree for nine days and nights.

Eventually, he received a revelation and the power of the Runes of Luon.

Upon returning to Asgard, Odin holds Gungnir in his hand and rides an eight-legged horse.

Uniting the Asar and Warner clans, he defeated the serpent Kull once and for all, and ascended to the throne with the support of the people.

This history was later erased by him.

Apart from his wife Frigga, and patriarchs like Heimdall, no one knew about it.

Thus, Saul was unaware that he had an uncle he had never seen before.

"Everything is for Asgard."

So said the Gatekeeper.

Odin nodded, as if somewhat weary, and prepared to return to the fairy palace.

Only just reversing his direction, he reined in the reins again and turned his head to look at the center of the Rainbow Bridge.

Sparks of magic cut through the space, carving out a passage.

"Tsk, I told you to make it faster!"

A clear voice that contained laughter came out, as if complaining about someone.

"Dilly-dallying and procrastinating until now has caused me to miss a wonderful show of fatherly kindness!"

Then a thicker, more gruff voice rang out.

"How could I possibly do anything to my own father, I will always, from the bottom of my heart, respect him and support him!"

"Really? I heard that the reason you were banished to Earth in the original universe was because you stood up to Odin and called him a short-sighted, bad old fool who had lost his courage."

Luke walks out of the space tunnel, making fun of the fat house Thor behind him.

Asgard didn't just have the fine tradition of brothers (sisters) not getting along, it also had the excellent family tradition of a father being kind to his son.

Dad beating up his son belonged to the rarities.

But from Hela to Saul, Odin's own bloodline had nearly beaten their own dads.

Who called them equally stubborn, equally conceited, and equally...unwilling to budge.

It can be said that the father is kind and the son (daughter) is filial, and they directly swing their fists when they meet.

The reason why it was "almost" was mainly because of the strength gap between them.

Otherwise, Luke had no doubt that Saul, or Hela, they could learn to bring filial son Alsas.

"My son, the day you were born, all the forests of Asgard whispered your name, Saul Odinson."

He even had lines ready for Odin, just waiting for a handful of Frost's Woe.

Too bad Saul was using a hammer.

Luke had some regrets.

"Supreme Mage?"

Odin's gaze was slightly glazed as he sat on his eight-legged divine horse.

He surveyed, condescendingly, the young man who had taken over Ancient One's position.

"Yes. Almighty Heavenly Father of Asgard, may I ask if you can give me a reasonable explanation?"

Luke stepped onto the Rainbow Bridge with a calm face and a gentle smile, displaying a well-spoken personality.

"What explanation?"

Odin asked knowingly.

"A destructive strike against the planet we live on, our long time home, without the consent of any official organization on Earth, the national government."

Luke asked bluntly.

"That's an act of brutality far colder and more spiteful than genocide."

Odin narrowed his eyes, he couldn't feel the overly strong magic fluctuations from Supreme Mage Luke's body.

At least compared to the Ancient One, the other was much worse.

"Are you going to accuse me, then? Using the laws of Earth to send me to the judgment seat?"

Odin sneered back at the question.

The hairy boy was worthy of his own bullshit.

"Then there's no talking about it."

Luke trailed off, restraining his smile.

"Why do you have to force a pacifist to use violence, it's the world's fault."
