Sword of the Philosopher

To the ruins of angels.

The next day, me and Sophia visit in front of the guild that designated Gilbert. It was just after dawn, but he was waiting perfectly.

"Have you come?"

A little happy, he says. This one asks him a question again as he says "hello".

"So, where are the ruins and the dots?

"Don't rush."

He glances at me and Sophia as he stops these words.

"Let's decide the most important thing before we tell you exactly where it is"

"About the distribution of rewards?

"Yes."

Yeah, yeah, nod, Gilbert. It also looks kind of hazy.

"Do we truly halve this place? Or..."

"Is it okay to assume that we're getting artifacts?

"Oh, that's good."

"Well... depending on the treasure situation, there's a journey ahead of us and I'd like to avoid the bulky stuff."

The description of the container by summoning magic is troublesome, so I made this a rhetoric.

"If you can get an artifact for once, the treasure on the road is basically just that way. If it sounds good, it means we'll discuss it again."

"That's generous... if that's the way it is, let's do it"

In the meantime, no word or deed from Sophia. Basically, you follow my policy.

By the way, she said to Sofia, "I'm turning to support" for training. Regardless, it moves if I have to... It seems to me that I am somewhat guessing my abilities about Gilbert, but I don't think I will understand the essential part unless I give it my full strength, so it should be okay.

Well, I've never fought with Sophia before. We should be fighting with her in the future, so let's just say training to stand around weirdly inconspicuous in it.

Me and Sophia followed Gilbert's lead and started moving. The direction is east. I used to go down the street a lot, but eventually I saw the woods and went in there. Is it about an hour and a little after at this point?

"... oh, speaking of which, I missed one thing"

Gilbert, who leads the way, speaks to the lid.

"It must be a ruin to go now... a stone building in the woods"

Isn't it in a cave or something... silent, he goes on to talk more.

"Thank you, Demon King. The demonic powers have influenced me to show up, but I may not be able to get in if I'm not feeling well. If that happens, I have to figure out what to do."

I can tell from what you know about the ruins, but you seem to be verifying a little bit about the ruins. It seems surprising that it has never been stepped in because it is close to the town. Are the demons of that ruin strong or are there demonic raids and abandoned... I personally feel like the latter.

At that time, for a moment, a tingling shock ran on my skin. Apparently we reached near the ruins and were able to break into different spaces with the ruins.

"You let him in."

Gilbert also says. At the same time, I heard the roaring voice of a beast from around me, a threatening demon.

Gilbert pulls out his sword at the same time as he stops. Together, Sophia pulled out her sword again. Then I took the sword pattern again... then the demon entered my sight.

Perhaps not a creature made by the demons, nor a distracted and rampant demon...... he was an odd dog with a blue right half and a burnt brown fur left half.

- This is a demon that only appears in ruins made by angels. I recognize you, too. The name is definitely 'The Keeper of Heaven', as it is.

Ability is higher than the demons that appeared in Sophia's solitary request. But considering she's gotten more and more levels in those woods, even she'll be able to defeat them enough.

As for demons coming out of these ruins, demons close to the bottom. Appearing enemies don't seem so strong.

"Coming!

The watchdogs run out simultaneously as Sophia raises her voice. Demons approaching to surround us...... if this is on the game one of my buddies says, "I'm surrounded!" or "Not good!" or a situation like screaming.

It was Gilbert who moved earlier. As soon as possible, he rolled out a crosshairs against the approaching guard dog.

The watchdog doesn't stop. Gilbert's sword hits him. The next moment he swung through and succeeded in bouncing the watchdog big.

But you can't do it with a single blow. Other watchdogs are coming at us as we try to get in shape.

"Do it!"

Sophia sets it up there. A blade of wind emerges from the tip of the blade at the same time as you wave the sword, striking directly at the watchdog. I didn't fall but I succeeded in blowing it up.

That's the added effect of having the Spirit of the Wind in your hands, not the move. When you add a spirit, you can customize the method of attack and so on, and the perk of silf is that you can unleash the blade of the wind by waving the sword.

Range is approximately a few meters. The blade would have vanished within less if the current one had been avoided... now that it's a reality, a small demon seems to be able to blow it away enough to keep its distance. This is convenient.

Turning his gaze, there's a watchdog trying to hit me. I just shook my arm and blew it just like Sophia by simple wind magic.

It's just that this is not powerful... it's just decided to be suspicious if you're tailoring it with a single blow from one end. You should think more about how you stand around so I don't get suspicious too... fights watchdogs with that in mind.

Gilbert defeats one guard dog in a flowing series of attacks. Further, Sophia defeated the watchdog by means of a 'disease sword' that was made more powerful by the addition of silf. Plus, while I stop other demons and occasionally knock them down, I reduce the number.

Less than five minutes of defense in time. But we succeeded in defeating the demon unharmed.

"All right, let's move on"

Gilbert says as he walks ahead. Me and Sophia nodded small and followed him.

Since then, there have been occasional demonic raids, but we destroy them unharmed. Sophia also moves better than before because she stands around well and her physical abilities are slightly enhanced by the Spirit.

Sophia just doesn't seem happy with her movements. If it's not enough, I'm even dissatisfied with my face.

"Sophia, don't rush any more than you fight the demons."

"... I know"

Sophia nodding at these words. Then he clenches his sword and looks forward and moves on.

"I see you."

So Gilbert's voice. Turning his gaze, he saw a stone ruin directly in front of him, two stories tall.

Formerly probably a fort. Just because it exists in the woods, the exterior grows all kinds of plants all you want, starting with the claws.

Much more buildings are collapsing. I can see the entrance at the front, but it felt like it was going to go inside from where the gap existed.

"Come on, it's the real deal from here."

Gilbert walks to the entrance with care around him. Me and Sophia follow his moves and move on... that was then.

There was a metal noise in my ear. That's how Sophia and Gilbert also guessed, looking at each other. I was the first of them to speak.

"... I see you've all noticed"

"If so, it's not an illusion..."

Gilbert said a word as he looked up at the building.

"I mean I have a client... Was it bad luck at this time, or should I think it was good before they took the treasure?"

"Do you want to join them?

Ask, Gilbert shrugs his shoulder.

"I hope the other person answers the call... ma'am, fine. Let's go in anyway."

Gilbert starts walking. Me and Sophia looked at each other once - nodding at the same time, we proceeded to the building.

There is no chance of losing a simple battle. But things are different this time... we walked into the building thinking about how we should move.
