Sword of the Philosopher

Suggestions from fellow characters

I heard a fellow character, Gilbert, and I thought it might have been a hassle.

Shortly after, Gilbert approached Sophia with a surprisingly light foothold, a word.

"Looks like you're on a journey, huh? Hello, can I help you with your guild?

"Huh? Uh, no, um..."

"If you don't mind, I'll show you around. Oh, if you're going to take any requests, I'll accompany you -"

"Yes, yes, I waited"

I talk to Gilbert as I feel like a pain in the ass. Then the opponent turns his neck,

"... who are you?

The tone is as if it were different. Open your mouth, even as you have the urge to sigh.

"She's my squire. The guild doesn't have anything to do with it, so let him go."

Gilbert turns a surprising glance at the word.

This is even more troublesome when I'm dealing with him... I thought so, I decide to force the conversation to end and suggest to Sofia.

"Then let's go."

"Yes."

- Hey, wait a minute.

I can call it off...... is this still a tangled pattern?

"Fair enough, okay? Is this your first time in town? Let's talk a little bit."

Sophia, let's go.

"Hey, wait for me."

I pull Gilbert off hard and leave the guild with Sophia. On the way Sophia said, "Are you sure? There was an inquiry, but I said," I'm fine, "so that nothing happened.

I can't see him any longer soon, but given his game personality, you think he's persistent... he could be followed from a distance.

Sometimes about Sofia, so I don't want to do it because imitations like being forced back around town are noticeable......

Then, after a few rounds of town, we head back to the inn. The time is evening. Waiting for a dish at a diner to be set up in conjunction with the inn,

"Hey, that's an odd encounter."

Gilbert came. I knew they were following me. Not at all white.

Sooner than we reacted, he took our seats and started talking.

"Don't let that get you in the way. This time I brought you information, didn't I?

Information......? I didn't expect that word from him who shouldn't even have any idea what we were up to.

Although his purpose will undoubtedly be to get close to Sophia... he also stands out just as trying to chase her back without question. Do you feel comfortable listening to me here?

"What is information?

"- You guys are not the kind of people based in this town, are you? Plus, from the atmosphere, it doesn't look like it's just a mercenary or anything."

Look at me and Sophia alternately. There was always an atmosphere that I fell in love with Sophia's looks at first... but now she looks so different.

"There have been a lot more students like you lately. So, I figured. Perhaps you are traveling after your country in some nobleman. I was wondering if I could tell you a lot."

... ha-ha, I see. This guy, I mean, did he feel the smell of gold? It was a numb at first, but did you switch policies to see how we were doing? He sees us and thinks, "If I sell you a favor, you might get quite a reward," and so on, and he's interfering.

Gilbert's discernment is more correct than Sophia being a princess. Should be in the big winning category among the winners... seriously.

The reaction I saw at first sight was that I was surprised at Sophia's elegance, but maybe you've seen Sophia in the past? So this is how you interfere? That's unlikely, but never zero.

If that's the case, I have to keep my mouth shut. We need to know about that.

I see Sophia. He had some concerns, even with her, and his expression is stiff. This one nodded one with the meaning "I'll take care of it," I spoke to Gilbert.

"I see, I see why you're following me"

"Oh."

But we don't need it.

"Really? So, what's the information on a safe path with few demons?

"I'm sorry, but I've already figured that out over here. So I'm fine."

Easily refused. Then Gilbert also gives a troubled look.

"Hmm, sounds a lot more alert"

"I think it's natural..."

Rather, what made you think you would not be alert?

"... ok. If that means you don't have to, you're gonna have to back off."

The atmosphere was untrained, but he took a seat lightly.

So Gilbert is gone... but I think it's okay to leave him alone, but just in case, you should make sure he knows the essence. Sophia thought the same thing or raised her voice to me.

"... Dear Luon"

"Sophia. I'll just talk to him for a little while"

"Yes, sir"

I saw her snort, and I immediately started acting. Speak up to Gilbert, who leaves the store and walks tobotobo.

"Hey, give me a minute"

Then, on his shoulders, he looked back,

"... don't change your mind too soon"

"I need to talk to you. Ready?"

That's what I say and point to the alley. He decided it wasn't a very good thing at this point, and he sighed and said, "Okay," and went into the alley with me.

"So, what's the story?

"As for me and my squire... I ask you straight in, do you remember seeing them somewhere?

"... hmm?

Gilbert tilting his neck. Hmm, that sounds like an atmosphere you don't know from attitude... I go on.

"As you expected, there's no reason for us to travel, but if it was in my memory, I wouldn't be bothered if someone told me about the area."

"I see," Gilbert replied to the explanation.

"You guys are in a lot of trouble."

"What's the answer to the question?

"Yikes, I talked to him without knowing anything about you guys. I promise."

"If it's a lie..."

To put it a little intimidating, he raised his hands to show that there was no hostility here.

"Don't look so scared... or one thing?

"What's up?

"I told you for a reason, the reason you're traveling like this is the Demons, right?

Gilbert shrugs his shoulders as he asks questions.

"I haven't heard of a war between humans lately, so naturally you mean the demons chased the country because of the invasion, right? So, can I just say I'm alert to the Demons, too?

"... right"

"Then we have an interesting story. If you have something to worry about in relation to the Demons, I have a good tool for traveling."

"... tools?

When I asked him back, he had a meaningful grin.

"It is said that this continent was inhabited by angels before humans prospered. Sometimes a super powerful item called artifact sleeps in the ruins that those angels allegedly left behind... So, according to scholars, there are ruins near this town that we know what artifacts there are. It's a special tool that changes the quality of magic... if you use it, you don't find out who you are from the Demons. Aren't you interested? If you want, you can help."

Content like it came down and gushed...... but as far as I'm concerned, I couldn't snort right away.

Confirm Gilbert's suggestion first.

"... why are you putting your shoulders in our shoulders?

"You're kind of anticipating it, aren't you? I just thought if I got involved with you guys here, I'd make a fortune."

- Speaking of which, I think he did manage to say something about the reward of birth when he became one of us. I mean, even if we fight demons, we want a lot of returns.

For him, the current request for a guild is dangerous, but less rewarding and dissatisfying, I guess. We are likely to be at risk, but working together is likely to be profitable, and it feels like we are exploring the ruins together to gain treasure with one stone and two birds...

"... artifact, hey"

So I looked at Gilbert with suspicious eyes... he just shrugs his shoulders.

Sure, what he says makes sense. Human opponents don't have to worry so much because even princesses have low awareness of people. But the Demons are different. There is a danger that if some kind of clap analyzes even magic, we will find out who we are.

I'm confirming the Demon Clan through the demon I'm using now, but there's no sign that the body in the castle is fake. So for one thing it should be ok...... I care about the artifacts.

Even in the game, there were several dungeons of ruins created by angels. And an item sleeping behind it is called an 'artifact', and an unusually powerful item sleeps.

These ruins exist in different spaces and cannot even be seen without taking fairly complex steps. I didn't see it when I was training either. But now the demons are attacking, and the magic that protects the ruins is spoiled. Many ruins appeared...... I think that's how it was set up in the game.

But I've never heard of the artifact of what Gilbert says. I also understood that it wasn't all the ruins that existed in the game... well, what do we do?

He's right, you'd also be ant to rely on that kind of paranormal stuff to hide Sophia's existence... but I can't even tell if this story is true or not.

Trust me.

Gilbert says. I often think... First, I checked before I got down to business.

"When we first spoke, you were totally willing to numb me, weren't you?

"Right."

I'll admit it. I'm a little weak, but I have more questions.

"So, now you're just saying you've changed that policy?

"That's enough to go after me, so I made a suggestion. It's a fascinating tool for you, isn't it?

... I'm pretty sure that the fact that we're talking about it this way is not a complete goodwill in itself, but a reward aim, but it's also true that I'm interested in the artifacts.

What to do...... Gilbert still told me he was thinking.

"As for my reward, it's fine with the treasure you get by diving into the ruins. I don't need artifacts effectively. It's a good price to get involved in."

"... about that ruin, but you wouldn't do anything to go with someone else?

"Faces like being in a guild. Then I'm warriorly tight, and I don't even ride invitations in the first place"

"We might be out of hand, huh?

When asked, Gilbert smiled bitterly.

"Come on, at least it's obvious from me that you guys have that kind of skill."

... Just as I felt the smell of gold when I saw Sophia, maybe he has some criteria for reading our skills. Does this neighborhood possess any characteristics as a fellow character?

"It's a lot harder than you've been chasing me like this, isn't it? So, I decided what was going on with you guys and I brought up the conversation. It looks like it could use some fighting power, and if you need what I call an artifact, I thought you might want to take a ride."

From the tone of voice, it seems that we were originally looking for a warrior for the ruins. He also benefits when it comes to obtaining treasures from the ruins... plus we get artifacts that don't reveal Sofia's identity... if what he says is true.

A dungeon that existed on the game should be able to say for sure, but not this time. The events you encounter with Gilbert are on the game, but these stories fall outside the scope of the game. Well, what do we do?

"I just need you to talk to your squire and make a decision."

Gilbert tells me here.

"If you feel frigid, you can let them decide this story never happened. If you're interested, come to the guild you visited at dawn tomorrow."

With that word he walks away... I walk out to go back to the store too.

It seems like a light-hearted character, but it wasn't a lying character talking this way... plus it wasn't even a character to be in touch with the Demons. Therefore, you can assume that the proposal itself is genuine.

The story of the artifact is certainly not fascinating. If we can magically mislead Sophia, we won't find out first.

I'll go back to her seat and talk. Having heard everything, Sophia expressed her close feelings of admiration for Gilbert.

"Does that mean he was guessing a lot?"

"As for him, I guess he thought we were different than normal adventurers... we didn't meet very well, though. So, about the artifact."

"Considering the possibility of being analyzed for magic, I think it would be better to have... if his story were true"

"That's right...... you think as a Sophia I should join you?

"I also wonder if it would be a good opportunity to train the power of the Spirit"

"What about Raifin?

"I agree, too"

Appear beside Sophia and she says... Hmm, sure this can also be used for her training I was exploring. I'm just wondering to what extent the demon level is, but if it's the level Gilbert can step into, it doesn't mean he's extremely strong.

Reminds me of his early levels. It should have been a little high compared to the main character character, but it could be a little higher now that the scenario has started and it's been a little while. Either way, it may not be very different from Sofia today in terms of ability.

Such is what he calls dungeon exploration...... how he thinks it is important to change magic even as a Sofia. It'll be training, and I'll do it.

"Okay. That means getting on with Gilbert's story. But if you feel suspicious, I'll turn back immediately."

"Okay."

If we had the worst trouble, I could do something about it... so we decided to go get the artifact.
