Sword of the Philosopher

Question and User Demon

After I eat, I visit the inn where Richard is. As a result of eating the meal in a hurry because I was concerned, the shopkeeper said, "You're in too much of a hurry."

But...... I didn't know Richard's name would come up here. Besides, it's the first time I've been here.

Get into the inn and tell me Richard's room. Hi. I hear you're in the room with your partner.

"Raifin, I'm sorry, but can you hide?"

Call while you head to your room. Raefin nodded instantly,

"Okay. Like the little Garc-like, it enters into the body of the luon-like. I can't use my powers because I'm not under contract, please note."

"I know."

At the same time as Raifin disappeared, he arrived in his room. When I did the knock, I heard a footsteps called Patapata.

"Yes?"

The door opens. What emerged from inside was a woman in a white robe. Is he about twenty years old?

Dull brown hair with some length on the shoulder, blue eyes. A beautiful figure, but a wizard outfit buries his personality and doesn't look very attractive at first glance. Nevertheless, it combines a pitiful atmosphere, understandably of interest to the inhabitants of the town bordered by the crusade.

"Uh, who joined the crusade, right?

"Yes... what about you?

She tilts her neck and asks. Then,

"Are you from town?

One young man walks in from the back. Age is around twenty as well as women. Dark-haired person wearing a black robe targeted at her. He's injured his right hand, wrapped a bandage around the back of his hand.

At first glance, I felt uncomfortable. Definitely a man walking over would be Richard... but I used to hear from Callan about Richard's appearance. According to that, he was in his mid-twenties, eye-catching and had an atmosphere like a warrior.

But Richard in front of me is a good young man who doesn't have the same atmosphere as a warrior. I don't feel like it fits the trait Caln was talking about.

"... that you took part in the crusade of demons, say hello"

When I say it, Richard says, "Okay."

"My name is Richard-Arted. This is my partner Lete-Kayla."

"Nice to meet you."

"... My name is Luon-Maddin"

While responding, keep an eye on Richard.

"I apologize for the sudden visit. I just missed you so much."

"To us?

"Yes... I'm sorry to bother you."

Let's get down to business. Richard, go ahead. Show him how it feels.

"You've taught magic at a fort of caution sticks, haven't you?

The moment he was asked, Richard tilted his neck. Looks like I don't remember.

"... a caution stick?

"Oh, uh... so, have you ever solved the commotion that arose at the residence of the Spirit Gnome?

"We've never been to those places in the first place."

I got a response from Lete... from the way you two are, you don't look like you're lying.

How they weren't acting about what I told them...... I decided to thank them again and cloud my tea because it turned out to be subtle air while dubiously deluding them that I was "wrong".

"Eh, thank you for joining us in the crusade. I couldn't even stop by town because I was traveling, and I was curious."

"Are you from this town? And I'm traveling...... oh, yeah. Want to exchange some information?

Richard's suggestion. I decided to say, "Fine," and think again.

Apparently Richard solved Norm's disturbance and all that - just doesn't seem to have anything to do with it either.

What the hell is this all about... a development where mysteries have arisen, but there is one thing I can say. There is something more complicated in a person named Richard than I thought.

In addition to Richard, I'll start exchanging information at the tavern with Lete. Five minutes after we started the conversation, it changed to a shattered tone... The contents are demonic situations, but there are two things that I found out when I was having a conversation.

One is that they are adventurers on their own journey. And the other thing is that we're always acting together.

Also, I've never been to the fort or Gnome residence where Callan was mentioned earlier... plus apparently it didn't even have anything to do with that suspicious tower.

"Hmm..."

I look to Richard as the conversation progresses. He is having a conversation with Lete...... feel friendly, be it not a lover.

Probably a different person than Richard in the footprint I found. Hmm, I can predict there won't be any more gains from asking him, so I can cut the conversation around here... just in case, see how it goes a little bit more.

Eventually we'll leave the tavern and walk down the streets of town.

"Mr. Luon is apparently a long time as an adventurer... but no other company?

"... elsewhere, now we're just acting temporarily divided. I'll be back with my people in a few days."

"Oh well."

Observe Richard and Lete again as we have a conversation. Just an adventurer from anywhere. Is the person in the footprint I found just the same name because it's nothing more or less - the arrow tip I thought so,

"... hmm?

To the lid, signs. It was from behind me, so I thought for a moment about looking back - I interrupted.

Pretend you don't notice anything instead. Walking alongside Richards... I've felt similar signs before.

That's - right after we defeated Ledras, when we dived into the ground. I felt signs of the demon when I used it. I also thought it was merely because of my mind because of how the Raifins didn't notice... there were probably more demons to use then than I just realized.

So the spirits don't realize it, but I'm the only one who realizes it... does that mean there's some trick? The question around here is, if you don't ask the person who uses this demon, I don't know.

Anyway, I have a demon to use. Just because I didn't feel any signs at the time I was acting alone doesn't mean I'm observing myself. The target audience...

"Hey, Mr. Leon."

There's a voice from Richard on the fence.

"In the future, maybe we'll meet on our journey, but say hello then"

"... oh"

I snorted. We didn't have any more conversations, and Richard and I broke up.

Shortly after I start walking, I'll explore the movements of the user demons. It doesn't look like you're paying attention to me. I'm definitely watching Richards and the others.

Um, if the same person as the user demon who was observing the basement is letting go, what the hell is the purpose of observing Richard? I just want to find out if I can, but based on what was being seen underground, it's not strange for the demon to run away with it right now.

The demon stopped moving while I was thinking about it. I guess it's because Richards and the others even entered the inn.

Watching the user demon itself won't bring him back to the magical user. If so, does it mean there is no other way to forcefully approach the demon and find out if he can't find his place?

There's a good chance you'll get away with it... so far it hasn't disappeared, but I'll look more alert than I did with Richard and the others earlier.

So, what are we gonna do?

"Do you want me or Raifin to help you?

It was Gark's voice.

"... cooperation?

"You're a demon, right?

"Did Garc notice?

"Um, Raefin doesn't seem to notice, but I figured it out"

They have a high ability to detect signs even though it is not the main unit.

"Analyze the magic using the wind of Raefin. From there, using the power of our land, it is possible that the other person will not notice us and guess where we are. If the person who unleashed the demon is too far away, it's difficult. '

Oh, this is comforting.

"... but Garc, by the way. You can do this right away?

"Possible."

"Then... quick, but please"

"Understood."

"I'll take care of it"

I can hear Garc and Raifin. Then... after roughly fifteen minutes or so, suddenly Garc spoke out.
