Sword of the Philosopher

Where Undine lives

The three of us continue our journey south.

As it stands, there is no battle with the Five Demons, and the atmosphere seems to be fine for the moment. Once Silvi also has the means to travel fast... and he used it to make a rapid journey to a distant location, so if it happens, the three of us are likely to be able to go there, and for the first time, there is no problem with it being the most recent.

By the way, I'd like to ask you one question.

On the road, Silvi asks questions.

"I've heard about the situation in the kingdom of Barks... if the opportunity to fight back comes, are you going to fight?

"… I'd like to, but I'll have to think about the situation at that time"

Calm Sofia remarks. If it's true, I'd like to say "I'll go" instantly.

"I think you can make my presence public as long as you can fight back. But there's a concern about how I can handle it."

- Perhaps he remembers being raided by the Demons and is anxious.

The army of demon kings that raided the kingdom of Barks also mixed strong men, even if the descendants of the wise men were royalty. It would have further invaded the surroundings and now also increased the level of demons that emerge around the capital. If it comes to launching an attack, it's definitely going to be a pretty intense fight.

When I observed Sophia, she had a harsh look at me, thinking she still didn't have enough strength. Then she looked this way. I open my mouth to ease my anxiety a little.

"The battlefield is gradually, but it's leaning. Plus Sophia's strength is up. We'll be able to fight it enough."

"I hope so... Plus, I'm worried about Eina"

"Eina?

To Sylvie, who listens back, Sophia turns to her.

"Ah, uh. You weren't talking. I'm a cousin and I'm a knight... and I was running away when the castle fell... and I hope you're okay"

- As things stand, Eina and the others are certainly active and liberating battle towns and such in various places, but there are still no widespread rumors that there are such Knights of Play, and the information that Eina is in its central figure. In fact, we've heard rumors about the Knights, but we've never heard of anyone like that. It would be a little further for the name to spread.

Currently, Eina and the others are gathering strength while raising the level. The addition of Lilitscha, who was not supposed to join, is gathering more strength than I expected.

The time to defeat the Demon Nation that spreads to the capital of the Kingdom of Barks is about after the destruction of the Third Body of the Five Demons. So when Sophia goes to fight, she needs a little more level. It just depends on when the battle against the Five Demons takes place. Given the gathering power of the Einas, there can be no denying the possibility that the battle against the Five Demons will also be speeded up as a result of their aggressive fight.

Two of the remaining three need a premise event, and it takes time, so it's not that hard to deal with. The question is whether the power of a wise man can dwell in it. The route that the Demon King will strengthen may be definitive, so we may not be able to help worrying about the neighborhood... but we shall discuss this with Raifin again.

The rest of us will be able to fight after defeating two of the Five Demons, but where the place is not so far from the base where the Northern and Executive-Class Demons are located. Therefore, you don't have to worry about it because you can't see the faces going there at the moment.

Another situation where the other protagonists are doing a sub-event...... let's make sure we do what we want to do in the meantime - so we kept walking to our destination.

Entering the land divided into the south, the level of demons clearly dropped. This also makes the air flowing into the town and elsewhere mild.

Since the Negijo of the Demon King and the High Demon Nation are present in the northern part of the basic continent, the southern part is less influenced by the Demon King and scattered with pastoral villages.

In the meantime - we reached the forest of Ertila, the residence of Undine. There's a well-kept road, and we're going in from there.

"Undine is in a fountain in this forest."

"Fountain, is it"

In my commentary, Sophia leaks words.

"Is there only one fountain?

"No, there are different springs large and small in the woods, and Undine lives there"

"You know very well"

Raifin shows up. Just like when I signed with Norm, is it her turn?

"Does Raefin still talk through here?

"I'm going to do that for once. There are no demons, so don't worry."

Smiling, she moves ahead of us.

"For one thing, well... shall I say hello to the chief?"

"... chief?

As Sophia listens back, Raifin nods small.

"We Sylphs and Gnomes call ourselves Kings, but Undine often works basically individually, and there is no central presence to govern our fellow countrymen such as kings and queens. But then, when things happen, they don't come together, so they decide to be chiefs as interlocutors with the outside world."

"... it feels like you're just a matriarch."

When I divulged my thoughts, Raefin laughed bitterly.

"Actually, I think you're right. There's hardly anything like deep human interference with the Spirit's dwelling, so there won't be much of a role for that either. But there is no doubt that the chief is the one who knows best about the Undines who live in the woods. I was wondering if I could help you find the Spirit that you could sign with Sophia, in keeping with your greetings."

"Oh, that sounds good."

I'm convinced too... but a chief? The game didn't tell us anything about the spirits, so I just didn't know that.

Now - when I say Undine, this again depends on the game, etc. similar to Silf and Gnome, but in this case, it was characterised by making a cheerful impression somewhere.

My image is of polite tone and yet polite, but this game is different. For example, there are verses where the producer side was slightly twisted and personalized so that Silf was as polite as Raifin. I don't know if that's a good idea.

And there's one problem - Raefin can't be unaware of Undine's characteristics, but he probably didn't mention it because he's optimistic. I didn't talk about the characteristics of Undine in this world as far as I'm concerned.

As I was going down the road in the woods, I could sense signs from around me. There should be no demons, so it's probably the Undines.

"You're being watched."

Silvi squeaks as she glances around. Then Raefin laughed,

"Undine has a lot of belligerent beings... and I have some, and things that stick up-"

And, before she could finish saying it all, she felt the magic. That's as clear as we can tell... no, clear offensive signs to make us understand.

"... Oh, this is..."

I hear you've shown interest in us.

Sofia and Silvi have definitely also become stronger after battling and training with Beluna. Is that why Undine has also shown interest?

"... breaking through forcefully?

I'm visiting Rayfin. She conceived a little,

"Persuasion is probably not possible when this happens...... I will rush to call the chief. If she gave it to me, I think this sign would go away."

"I don't think you'll wait until then..."

"That's good. This is a great opportunity to review the results of your training."

Silvi hands on the sword pattern. It responds to it and the signs around it become even more pungent.

I thought, come on, but from the ambient air, she would have acted even if she wasn't moving. Apparently we'll just have to fight...... I'm pretty sure we should call the elder chief though. I told Raefin, "Please," and she hurried off to the back of the woods.

Well, I don't know what to do - I heard footsteps from the woods, the arrow tips I tried to figure out.
