Sword of the Philosopher
Young King's Country
Bring Azua on my side, and I'll head back to town. We made that report to Raifin and decided to hold a meeting on future policies.
Time starts talking with Amalia and Raifin that night, also in the harbor...... making sure there's no one around.
"For one thing, is the next goal Feus? It would be close to where Salamander lives, so we need to head anyway."
"Yes, that's right"
Raifin nods at my words.
"While you wait for the sword to complete, how about it?
"We're going to use the demon to gather information."
"Ok...... I would like to discuss this with Azua, who is supposed to cooperate, and continue with the measures"
"By the way, what about Master Azua?
Amalia asks. Then a child Garc appeared to me,
"I'm elsewhere now. Sooner or later, we should face each other and talk. '
"Really? For starters, wait until the sword is complete."
Discussion is over. Raifin and I decided to continue to work out measures in the future, and we decided to go back to the inn.
The policy was also decided and he would stay in town until the sword was complete...... in the meantime Sofia and Silvi trained and Kuuza also called it training and hunted the surrounding demons - which is how he fights himself from time to time.
On the other hand, I gather information... because two of the five demons have crumbled, and the human side is starting to thrive. The three remaining bodies have not yet activated the event either, so there is no movement. Can I say we're still ahead of us around here?
The protagonists, starting with Fili, are also currently nowhere near events related to the Five Demons. Neither are the Einas moving to recapture the kingdom of Barks. The fact that the human side has begun to turn to counterattack seems to be exploring and moving around the collaboration. On the contrary, that leads to departure from the main part of the scenario.
The other three protagonists have also seen the situation that the human side has begun to thrive on, and they seem to be acting but there is no sign of challenging the Five Demons... this is convenient for us. Going north on a contract with Salamander for future plans. I'm here to meet with Feus the Spirit. And Sophia goes to the Academia of the Kingdom of Nateria to match her contract with Salamander and strengthen her own abilities - I'm sure she needs time, so should I say I'm glad?
Well, we're done gathering some information, and I don't know what to do... so I'm thinking in one of the rooms at the inn, someone's visiting the room.
"Dear Luon,"
Sophia was the one I heard with Knock. I call out, "Go ahead," and she comes in.
I'm in the same room as Kuuza, but he's not here right now, so I'm alone. Sophia noticed it or glanced at the room and spoke to me.
"Hey, I need to talk to you."
"Oh, fine."
I show the chairs across the table with my hands. She nodded, and I got to her seat too.
"So, what's the story? From what I've seen, it doesn't seem like a very good topic."
Look at her look serious somewhere and mention it. Then,
"… talk about the future"
"Something bothering you?
"Yes."
After nodding, Sophia opened her mouth again.
"I also covenanted with the Spirit of the Third Body, plus the sword... there is a feeling that it is definitely getting stronger, plus the human side began to fight back. I think it's a very good trend."
"Right."
"In doing so, I thought a little bit about how I should move myself."
"That we should move... aren't we going to go sign a contract with Salamander?
"I'm not going to...... there's one place I'd like to stop"
Where I want to stop - here I am, waiting for the word, with one possibility in mind.
"Does Master Luon know about the Kingdom of Alastin?
After all - what she calls a kingdom is a small country that exists in the centre of the continent. This country is famous though. And myself, it's the name of the country I remember so well.
Because the kings of this country will eventually be allies against the southern invasion.
I was on the subject when I discussed it with Raifin before as well... I didn't expect a mention from Sophia.
"Oh, I know about that country. It's a country that possesses a treasure sword with the power of exorcism."
"Yes...... I hear that in the invasion of the Demon King, the king I was imploring died. The only thing left in the royal family is Canaan, the young king, who will soon be fifteen. And rumor has it that there are some disturbing moves."
Rumor level, but there is certainly talk of demons attacking the Kingdom of Alastin - in fact, the game will result in an event defending the capital of the Kingdom of Alastin, Lahaite.
Even I want to be involved in this fight, and I'm observing with the demon. I haven't seen any signs on the game yet... even if I think about the progress of the scenario, I'm in a situation where events can happen.
In the sense of not making a sacrifice, maybe I should pre-defeat the demon clan itself that launches the attack... very dangerous because I don't know where it is and it is likely that the Demon King side will have further demon clans ready, and then I won't be able to read the scenario flow either. Besides, this event should not be stopped when we think about the future, more than it will also inspire Canaan to awaken as a user of the treasure sword.
"Sophia wants to go there?
"Yes...... I myself still don't think it's a good idea to show up...... Canaan is like a brother to me. I heard there was a demonic invasion, and I was wondering if it was a very dangerous situation."
Sophia ties her mouth. As for her, the idea of what she can do by going should also exist in her head. But as for her, whose country is doomed, she may not want to repeat the same tragedy and want to rush.
I was going to get involved in this event, and you can agree... so I asked her a question.
"You're meeting with King Canaan?
"... Dear Mr. Luon himself, you should not yet be disclosing my existence, and I agree. Honestly, I have no idea what I'm going to do with my head when I go to the Kingdom of Alastin..."
As for her, a further national existential crisis. It would mean that I couldn't be there or not.
I can understand that feeling, and I don't mind as far as I'm concerned, because it was like going to the country sooner or later - should we just engage Canaan and Sofia? Don't worry about this place.
It's a situation where the human side starts to fight back, but still doesn't allow prediction... if we're gonna talk confidentially, is that okay? Some Demons read their minds, but since it is the magic of spiritual resistance, I think that Sofia today would be enough to put in place measures. Is the problem on the Canaan side? I don't know how much power he's got.
"... If the rumors are true, I think we should go check on them once and for all"
"If so -"
"Oh. It's a country on its way to the north, and it'll be just fine. We were planning on going straight north, but we'll try to gather some information and head that way. It just depends on the circumstances."
"Thank you"
Sophia thanking you with a beautiful smile. I also smile and snort back... remind me of the events in the Kingdom of Alastin.
This is one of those events that I wanted to avoid… a battle that takes place in simulated form, just as it did during the Southern invasion in the game.
The difficulty itself, clearly, is not high. Basically, the placement of characters other than the main party is decided, and yet the demonic power is not so high. Therefore, it is not as difficult as clearing it.
But here's the problem... it's the General and the two knights who hold this battle. Responsible for directing and stopping knights and soldiers against demons coming from the north and east and west - the two knights can be companions after the battle, but one of them dies in this battle, and only the remaining can be companions. I mean, two choices.
And the general dies again - that's the kind of fight it was.
