Sword of the Philosopher
In the abandoned castle.
The gates leading into the castle were open, and there were no signs of demons or anything else.
"There's not going to be anybody in there..."
Whimpering, I go inside the castle. The interior is… based on calm shades such as blue, which brings together a much more rigid atmosphere.
"There are signs of battle."
Sophia's voice on the side. It is true that debris is scattered all over the castle, and the floors show a number of signs as if they were decided.
Sounds like more damage was done in the castle than it has been thoroughly destroyed, including the town...... Hmm, sounds like it would be hard to get information after all?
I'll sort things out so far. In addition to the fact that there were no signs at all in the woods where demons were supposed to be, this town and castle are in disastrous condition.
"... the demons destroyed this castle or town?
"I made the same assumption."
Sophia answers as she looks around.
"The demons who lived in the woods suddenly raided castles and towns… If someone lived here, they would have had some way of reconciling themselves with the demons who lived in the woods. It's hard to believe that the demons in the woods tore their fangs for no reason."
"Someone manipulated it... but on the scale of the woods..."
I wasn't able to get an overall view of the forest, but it was quite vast. If that demon is disappearing in its entirety...... the numbers would be outrageous.
If those demons came at us all, it's true that there's not a single one. With the information we have, we can make assumptions like this.
A space where you can hear nothing but the footsteps we make. It was terribly creepy, but it even moves forward.
Straight through the gate, it was in the throne room... a place that seemed to arrive. On a fairly wide top the throne existed on a good number of stairs… but it has also been destroyed by combat.
"The castle owner here is missing too..."
"Sounds like it."
Sophia responds. After all, are all the survivors leaving this place?
"Do you want to look around the castle for a moment? I don't want to, but I might have some tips on how to get home."
"Yes."
Explore the castle. We're the only ones making noise, and we fall into the illusion that this place has been abandoned for decades.
"So, Sophia. I need to talk to you."
"How are we going to get involved in this?"
I said "right" to Sophia's words.
"If a demon has simply attacked you, you just have to crusade it. I don't know if the Lord of this castle is alive, but if you express that you will deal with it and resolve it, he may examine the means by which you can return. The question is, are we in a situation where we can provide the means?"
If, for example, the demon is attacking you and you are fleeing somewhere, you can go there and negotiate... some places are not sure about the size of the town, but given the amount of galeches, it should have been a big town. It wouldn't mean zero survivors, and I think it's possible to find castle owners and their associates if we explore the surroundings.
"It would also be good to find the means to return and, above all, to ensure the safety of the endless village...... based on the fact that the demons that were in the woods had disappeared, there is no denying that someone could be manipulating them. So if you get your eyes on the village, it's the end of a roll."
"Right...... is that not difficult"
"However, we also need accurate information to carry it out. I don't know why this castle has come to this... I need to find out there first"
"Actually, this castle owner is the pivot of evil. What a possibility."
And, this is Sophia's word.
"The demons that were in the woods were actually the ones used by the castle owners, and it went wild, or something"
"If that's the case, you don't have someone to take the deal with even if you take down the demon...... wait a minute. If you think about it, where did the demons go?
"It must have all disappeared in the battle against the castle, or it must have been annihilated somewhere else."
"If it's the latter, it's a hassle..."
Given the size of the forest, how many demons exist... even if the number is decreasing in the battle against this castle, a good number are likely to survive.
We continue to explore the castle during the conversation... but we don't see any moving in the hallway or anything. I wish I could have looked in places where books and such are asleep, but I also don't see any signs of such hatred... rather than intentional destruction.
"This place is completely destroyed."
Some of the rooms I peeked into were so destroyed that I couldn't imagine what they were. It tells the story that demons targeted specific rooms and attacked them intensively, and there is absolutely no atmosphere in which demons in the woods attacked the castle or town without order.
"Yeah, that sounds like a good interpretation of being attacked after all"
"In the end, we haven't got any information, and we're going to need to look around here for the moment."
Find out, huh? I got food and stuff to give way from the village, and Von tells me there's something I can eat in the woods, so I can be here... but how long does it take to investigate?
"If we're going to look into this for a long time, we need to report it properly to the village."
To Phone in the Village In addition to the absence of demons in the woods, I will report that there was an abandoned castle in the north and consider what to do afterwards... Phone will also move a lot to pay attention if I find out there was a massive battle. Wouldn't it be okay to reveal our identity?
Whether or not it affects even the most endless villages...... no, there is no denying the possibility of something happening beyond being a continuation even across vast forests and deserts. So let's start by explaining the situation properly to Von.
"Dear Luon,"
Sophia raised her voice to the lid. I stopped and I looked at her,
"Just over there, you don't have a galley"
It's the front pointing fingers. It leaves me uncomfortable unlike anywhere else in my continued stroll...... there are signs of artificially cleaned up galeches.
Me and Sophia are headed there... to kill the signs and keep the footsteps as low as possible on the road. There is a single door there.
Clarifying his ears, he hears a footsteps from the back of the door called Tatata. He's a survivor, apparently.
"... you live here?
"Who entered the abandoned castle, or does the hidden castle owner live here even if he loses everything"
Listening to Sophia's guess, I approach the door slowly. When you create a sword and explore the signs, you know you don't seem to have that much power.
"Sophia, what do we do? Step in?"
"... circumstantially, that would be the only way"
I'm sorry for the lack of hostility... but there are no Garc or Lesbail, so there are some signs that I'm not sure if it's a demon or a human being at all.
I don't know what else to do...... yes I reach in front of the room whining in my chest. The footsteps are still being heard and we don't seem to have noticed this one.
I'm just curious...... its footsteps are light. At least you're not an adult.
"Kid, huh?
"It also feels that way as a sound..."
"... well no. Let's just open it and see how it reacts."
Sophia nods. I take a slow, deep breath once... and grab the door knob with my left hand. It is not locked.
Yet the lord of the room is unaware. I turned my gaze to Sophia once, and after I saw her snort - I opened the door.
