Sword of the Philosopher

Weapons and schemes

Regarding me and Sophia, it seems that Croix is only explaining to the Demons who don't know the details of the situation: "The facets of possession of a method that allows them to break through the fortress", and everyone is aware that me and Sophia will be trump cards in the battle for the fortress.

There is also pressure, but they don't have any special machining or anything about the fortress door, so I guess I can.

I'll check the steps before I head to the fortress. The Bizel side is already ready, and there are many demons and such near the fortress. However, there is no doubt that Croix has not broken into the territory it holds, and it is unlikely that it will attack for the first time. He said Croix seemed to be ready in case of that, and some Zemun had left it in the castle if he had to, so it would be okay.

Operation, but Sophia and I blended magic to destroy the fortress door. From there, Croix and the others attacked and took control of the fortress. Axis there to break through the mountains at once. invade the territory.

However, if you are long enough, the enemy will push you from Bizell's base. I don't think that consolidating the fortress's defenses to be raided this time will mean that there will be no exit, but if it fails, there will be no aftermath militarily. If we don't win this fight, we're likely to be pushed to the point where Croix's winning eye probably isn't.

"That's why I'm in the mood..."

I throw my gaze at Croix. He has a difficult face and makes me understand how hard this fight is.

In a gloomy atmosphere, we march… Fortunately, the demons who follow the new master, Croix, have a high morale. Croix defeated the Lord named Widels, but I am still slightly interested in the attitude of following him.

Sanak, who is still following Croix near the side of Widels, is the instruction of Widels - or will it be close to a will? Perhaps by that instruction they are following Croix... but if we were to wage war like this without any confusion, we would respond and advance accordingly. Strange, to say.

"... that sounds like a rare vibe"

There's a demon clan calling out to me like that. The red-haired demon clan with glasses... is Foscia, Zemun's man.

"Is it different from a human march?

"No, that's not what I'm saying... uh"

I tone my voice down a little.

"The demons who were following Widels also followed, and yet with high morale. I thought it was interesting."

"I see, indeed, if you look from them, you can also see Lord Croix as an enemy."

Light affirmation. Nevertheless, there is a continuation to his story.

"It's all Croix's desire."

"... I found that Sanak, for example, talked to Croix and trusted him. But you can't treat all demons the same way, can you?

"Sure. That's why I'm surprised... As I said, Master Croix has become a new lord and the sun is shallow. But in that short period of time, he did a lot of work, and he showed that he was a trustworthy monarch."

"Is that something we don't know?

"Right."

Hmm, I used to go out from time to time, and I guess that means I was doing what I could do to gain trust.

"At least it seems to have conveyed that I have a strong consciousness as a Demon King candidate and am acting to make this demonic world better again. And now we have a showdown, but there are times when Master Croix has shown himself to fight on the front lines, and his countrymen have shown a strong will to fight."

... I don't know what kind of activity Croix gained the trust of the people, but at least I can see that the demons marching this way agree with what he's doing and are moving on and choosing the path of battle.

"... this is all morale, and if it were true, you would have wanted to prepare more carefully to strengthen the army itself"

"I think so too... it's just that Master Croix was wary of Bizel... and Master Croix seemed concerned that he was creating weapons"

Hmm, that's your first ear. I didn't react much when Amel told me.

"- Foscia"

Here's Croix approaching us in conversation, calling us names.

"Organize the situation of the squad now and ask for a report"

"Okay."

Nodding Foscia leaves the scene. So I asked Croix.

"I just heard from Foscia that Croix was concerned about Bizell's weapon..."

"Oh, yeah"

"Did it feel disturbing from the word weapon? Or is there a reason?

In response to the inquiry, Croix pressed silence. Waiting for words as to what was going on, he put aside a few moments to

"... weapons, there was one verse that came to mind when I heard the word"

"I haven't heard more about it, and I don't think I know anything about Foscia,"

"I don't know the details either. I just know the fact that that kind of weapon was around a long time ago. I don't even know if that conjecture is hitting me, and no one knows because I didn't think it was a good idea to speak poorly and incite fear"

A long time ago...... how long ago was that?

"It was before the demon king was sealed. In the weapons that existed in those days there were powerful weapons created by man to counter the Demon King"

"Humans made...?

"I guess it was more than just to counter the Demon King... he said he was alert about it and took the blueprints and so on. I mean, it was enough to have to be that far."

"You think that blueprint is still sleeping somewhere, and Bizel discovered it?

"Not if I just stumbled upon it. If the Demon King had given instructions and seized them, he would naturally have slept in Demon King's Castle. But if Bizel had it..."

"Were you secretly infiltrated, or how distracted you were when the Demon King perished"

Croix nods at my point.

"Either way, it would be in a way that defies the previous Demon King... and if Bizel wants to gain the status of Demon King by then... I guess that means whatever. I don't know what would happen to the demonic world if that kind of being were at its apex."

"Amel said it wouldn't matter who became the Demon King except herself, but is Croix a different view?

"If my hypothesis fits, Bizel may be superficial, but he may be plotting behind it... and expanding his forces in ways that don't get the support of those who exist in the demonic world."

If Croix's alleged weapon had tremendous power and no other Demon King candidate could cope with it, Bizel would rule the demon kingdom. It depends on how you use your weapon, but if you were using something with a history like that, it wouldn't be very good for me or Sophia.

"I don't know if I can hear the sincerity... but Bizel is the type of guy who fights with his head because he isn't originally highly capable of fighting. It could be a tougher battle than we assumed."

More than Croix expects...? More importantly, the army is likely to require cohesion and so on.

How far can you control and stand around those who were under Widels' command... this is also, in a sense, to be questioned about their qualities as demon kings.

So he could have a satisfactory outcome and win this battle...... and the fortress finally began to look forward while he was conceiving.
