Collect treasure

"That demon..."

I observe whining. That's a golem in the shape of a person...... I don't move at all in a one-kneed position, but I'll probably react when I get close.

It is difficult to identify the type because it is dusty... well, what is it?

"Sophia, what do we do?

"I have no body or lid, shall I magically erase it"

Naturally, we come to that conclusion... so Sophia blanketed her right hand against the Golem without question and emitted magic - the next moment,

Zuzu, the golem rises slowly. They reacted to magic.

And dust will strike and the details of the golem will be clarified...... the material is sandstone. Apparently, 'Sandgolem'.

I don't mind Sophia ending it all at once using magic like this...... and before she attacks,

"I'll do it. Leon, hold the door."

Leese leads the way. Along with that, Sophia put her hands down and the idea of keeping an eye on Eina as well.

At the same time, the sandgolem moves out. What it looks like is quick action on the back. So much so that if you are a normal adventurer, you may not be able to avoid it even if you can react.

But Golem is dealing with a princess who is even meeting with the Demon King candidate. There was no reason to win.

"- Ahhh!

Reese was a clenching Halvard and first received Sandgorem's fist directly from the front. Zugun, and a heavy noise. At the same time it appears that Golem's fist has been beaten and lost, resulting in a crack slightly in its arms.

In a moment, when Reese shook off Halvard and played his fist, he instantly released a lateral giraffe. Its aim is the chest. The Golem has a nucleus of power - the core - that stops functioning by destroying it, but apparently Reese identified the magic in an earlier offense and hit it that the place is the chest.

Her blade runs to the golem. At the same time sandstone is crushed, plus the golem is heavily damaged by the impact.

And where Reese aimed, there seemed to be a core... lit by magical lights and exposed the core of the golem to our sight.

Nevertheless, what I saw was a flash of talk... because Reese's pursuit burst, damaging and blowing the core. When I realized it, the force that was moving the golem - vanished.

Lost control, the golem slowly falls and falls. That created some vibration indoors...... the golem was completely silent.

"Sister Reese, are you hurt?

"Of course not. I guess it was okay to be attacked."

After saying those words, Reese looks behind the room.

"There's a treasure chest... is this the end point?"

"The golem that was protecting the treasure, so..."

Sophia shrugged, but there Reese frowned,

"Sophia, you're kind of hooked."

"Oh, no, the... apparently the Golem was controlling something like a trap in this room, and I was wondering if it was a little different from a normal demon,"

After stating so, she glanced around the room.

"I know that the guardian of artifacts... and I've actually fought the guardian of treasures by stepping into the ruins in this way in the battle against the Demon King, but it was only to protect treasures, and few beings protected the magic of traps in such a way that demons would maintain them rather than, for example, trap them..."

- Well, inherently, the trap should be controlled by something that manages this ruin, and if the demon had control, there's certainly a convenient aspect to that, but if it storms badly, it's a hassle.

"I'm pretty sure the Golem movement was intelligent."

Following Sophia's mention, Liese squeaks.

"Though the response was somewhat slow due to the fact that years had passed - oh, this is my view. I'm pretty sure a normal warrior would have been slow enough to avoid it."

"I guess so."

"It just seems like too much time had passed and less magic, after all. And yet, not only do they simply get rid of intruders, but they seem to be highly instructed... there were also signs of that.

Basically, the ruins are arranged to protect the artifacts and so on from intruders, but this golem also makes me feel somewhat different... I can also understand Sophia's statement. I don't know what the enemy is this time, protecting treasure goes hand in hand, but it's as if he had faithfully followed the Creator's orders until now... I could even feel the atmosphere like a knight who swore allegiance.

"Does the fact that the creator was prepared so far mean how many things sleep in the crate"

"That's what you'll know if you actually go inside again."

I approach the chest. And Sophia and the others will follow.

It's just here I have one question. I didn't feel like much stuff, so this facility wasn't such an important base - we were making assumptions about that. But at the deepest end of the spectrum, that was the enemy on advanced orders that were waiting to be trapped. It kind of makes me feel like Chigu.

Based on Golem's ability, we can't deny the possibility that this was an important facility... but maybe the adventurers who used to get in here also brought up materials and stuff. If so, it could be extremely troublesome.

"That concludes our quest. Collect the artifacts and go home."

To Reese's suggestion, I said, "Right," and reached for the chest.

The mystery has remained, but the exploration is over for now... I guess there's no other way to guess what facility this was in the first place after all, and I can't verify it first. Our search for materials and our main contents are off, so we'll have to throw them away.

And now all the ruins mentioned in the dossier have been visited. I will return to the castle to rendezvous once with Devals.

Too bad there wasn't a harvest...... Devals will be looking into other ruins of the candidate, and it will feel like we should be able to find them in the second or third investigation.

Summarize the conclusion in your head and I open the chest. Shortly afterwards - suddenly, the inside of the chest glowed.

Something happened for a moment, and Sophia and the others reacted in the same way... no hostility. I thought it wasn't like a trap, but I looked inside the chest.
