Chapter 108 - 48: As a Woman, She Has Her Pride
The V-neck, long-sleeved design featured heavy embroidery, a cinched waist, and a long train. She looked just like a queen.
David couldn’t help but exclaim, "Wow! It’s just so beautiful!"
He quickly snapped a few photos. "You look this good even without makeup. If you put some on, you could probably rival the greatest beauties of all time."
Jiang Li awkwardly rubbed the back of her neck. "You’re exaggerating."
Even though she knew she was attractive, she still felt a little shy hearing such high praise from David.
Shen Yanzhi composed himself and agreed, "It really is beautiful."
So as not to waste time, David set his camera aside. "I’ll do your makeup first."
Inside his suitcase, besides the camera, there were also cosmetics.
After all, as a professional and in-demand local guide, he had to have all the right tools prepared.
He took two folding chairs out of his case, unfolded them, and gave one to Jiang Li while taking the other for himself.
Once Jiang Li was seated, David got to work.

Even with her eyes closed, she could feel his scorching gaze. So, once David finished her makeup and hair, Jiang Li lifted her skirt hem and twirled twice in front of Shen Yanzhi. "Well? Do I look good?"
Shen Yanzhi’s Adam’s apple bobbed. He averted his gaze. "You do."
Jiang Li said, dissatisfied, "Hah. Men. You say I look good, but you won’t even look at me."
Shen Yanzhi met Jiang Li’s gaze and suddenly leaned in. When he was only ten centimeters away, he bent down, a smirk playing on his lips, and whispered, "Baby, if you keep teasing me like this, something’s going to happen."
As for what might happen... they were both adults. No further explanation was needed.
Jiang Li bit her lip and shot Shen Yanzhi a playful glare. "You’re impossible!"
Shen Yanzhi, far from ashamed, explained proudly, "If I wasn’t interested in you, *that* would mean there’s a problem with us."
If a woman holds no attraction for a man whatsoever, then you could say their relationship has reached its end.
After all, sometimes, sex and love are inseparable.
Jiang Li didn’t want to continue the topic, since she could never win an argument against Shen Yanzhi. She turned to David. "Does he need makeup?"
David looked at Shen Yanzhi. "That’s up to Mr. Shen."
Jiang Li’s eyes lit up as she made the decision for him. "Let’s do makeup, then."
These were their wedding photos, after all; she wanted them to be absolutely perfect.
’Okay, fine. The main reason is that I’ve never seen Shen Yanzhi with makeup on, and I want to.’
Shen Yanzhi had already changed into his outfit. Hearing Jiang Li’s words, he looked at her, baffled. "Are you serious?"
