That Ordinary Mister is a War God

33. Guild General and God of Light War

"Back off, please. I'd like to speak to Lord Bartolomeus alone."

Yereminias said, the secretary nods with a howling face somewhere.

I guess that's all the existence of a god of light war is huge for her, too.

Where we were alone, Bal took the black bell out of his nostalgia and shook it gently.

Then the soundproofing magic unfolded.

"The production of His Majesty the Secretary?

Bal nods to Yereminias' question and removes his mask.

"That's right. He loaned me a reward from His Royal Highness the Crown Prince."

"You're still alive, that guy."

The elderly man smiled bitterly at Bal as he revealed himself in the face.

The interaction between the two is a conversation of a cheap friend, and the fact of the matter is that Bal immediately took the mask.

"I'd like you to get along a little better with the rest of them."

"You don't seem like such a clever character. I'm terribly clever as a fighter."

Yereminias relentlessly returns his true meaning against him spilling his heart with a troubled face.

Around the time I shut up, I guess Bal also knows.

"So what can I do for you today? Didn't I come here to show you the magic equipment I borrowed?

Then it's just a no-locket or a boast, and Yereminias is about to visit his fist bones, so to speak, but it's a possibility that Bal's personality isn't the first.

"No way."

Advice He shrugs his shoulders and denies it.

I was wondering if the Adventurer Alliance had any information.

"I'm submitting the report to the court. You'd know whenever you wanted, wouldn't you?

Yereminias says to Bal's words.

If Yagami Fai asks, he should get some information.

They have little authority, but they have tremendous speaking power.

So much so that even now Adrian may be obsolete when it comes to their totality.

He gives a subtle expression to the words of the guild general.

"I want to know that I didn't put it on the report. It doesn't matter if it's ambiguous and unfounded."

"I see."

Yereminias finally perceived Bal's hope.

The documents to be submitted to the court must say what actually happened, what I witnessed, what I got, and what seems highly likable from these.

I can't write "maybe" or "I have a bad feeling".

"Something you wouldn't know if it wasn't for the guys moving in the field. Whatever. Anything at all. Anything?

"... reports say gargoyles have emerged due to natural metastases"

When Yereminias says it as he recalls, Bal rounds his eyes.

"The gargoyle? With metastases?"

"It was also said to have been an individual who seemed inexperienced in combat. I'm impressed because I thought it was odd, too."

Bal could fully agree.

Demons that are prone to appear in natural transitions are demons such as goblins and oaks that are not very strong and cannot fly in the sky.

Strong demons can avoid natural transitions by instinct, as will demons who can fly through the sky.

"That could mean that if I was flying, there would have been a sudden spatial loosening and I couldn't escape. They were not very strong individuals, so I nod when they say I couldn't handle the sudden"

Yereminias, while saying so, looks unconvinced.

"Still uncomfortable."

Bal agreed.

"Oh."

Yereminias nods instantly to his remarks.

"Today, however, judgment materials are too scarce. I'm totally behind the wheel, and I don't like it."

If tigers make tough faces, they are as powerful as beasts.

It's not a big deal for Bal, who is used to seeing it, but if he sees the weak minded, he may pass out.

"When this happens, don't feel like metastatic witchcraft or summoning to not give us a clue here"

When Bal spills, Yereminias lightly opens his eyes.

"Neither summoning nor metastatic magic would be valuable to the user. Are you considering Yagami Fai or the Secretary of Magic?

He laughs bitterly at the point of his elderly friend.

"It doesn't. I can't use both."

"Or so it is."

Yereminias knew that he was a good user of alien powers and that magic was as bad as no.

"But Reihenbach says that if we grow it in a way that's specific, it's a lot less difficult to cultivate than our common sense."

"Oh, really?"

He hadn't heard Yereminias say the example of Reihenbach yet, and he's circling his eyes.

"If you ask me, it's common in empires to be raised to use multiple sorceries. Though it takes money and time, I thought it would be very beneficial to be able to develop a diverse audience at once."

Hammer that Bal agrees with the tiger that

"Specialized beings sound good when it comes to experts on that path, but only useful in certain contexts. I didn't think there was any benefit in taking the time to grow it. Until recently."

Understanding what Bal is trying to say, Yereminias will again look like he chewed up a bitter bug.

"As in the case of example, in some cases it can be an effective means."

The Empire knows we're being targeted, but we don't know anything specific.

It is still unclear whether the enemy is on the same continent or not.

"They're releasing spies outside the country, but they don't have any particular clues yet. How's the guild?

Yereminias makes his bitter face even more bitter to Bal's question.

"The same goes for guilds. I hear there are several countries, regions, where demons are increasing in number, but that's all. I don't hear stories of massive numbers occurring in at least one region."

"You mean they're not from other continents that are after this continent?

When he snapped, the tiger shook his head to the side.

"We don't know yet. For example, my country is the easternmost part of the continent. Maybe it's simply going from the east."

Bal has no objection and stays tongue-beating.

"If your enemies are going to transfer, can't you track that down for backwards?

He answered Yereminias' question.

"It seems impossible. Otherwise, when I ran into the guy who manipulated the troll, I got a clue all at once."

Bal talks about when the Emperor's readings were in the middle of nowhere.

Meena, the most powerful magician in the empire, was on the spot, so it should have been the best development for them.

"Is that what this is about? Will you ask Meena if a gargoyle appears due to a natural phenomenon?

"Okay. Let's hear it as soon as we get home."

There is no more qualified than Bal when it comes to extracting information from Meena.

He takes on the pleasure of Yereminias.
