That Ordinary Mister is a War God

67. Bartolomeus Thoughts

Sidonier retained Bal as he tried to return at the end of the meeting.

"May I have a moment?

"That's unusual. I don't care."

Bal takes the offer even though he seems surprised.

"Then let's rent a room somewhere."

If it was Yagami Fai, he had the freedom to rent empty rooms, even inside Imperial Castle.

Sidonier and Bal came in as one of the colloquial rooms, with a natural face and a mix of meenas.

"... I'm not saying don't come, but I shouldn't have said a word, Wilhemina?

Meena answered flatly to Sidonier, cautious with a shaken face.

"You don't have to tell me. Guess."

It's a statement that I can only assume sells fights, but Sidonier understands that she has no intention of doing so.

I changed my mind that it was a waste of time even when I dealt with her.

A bal sits behind a four-person table in a talking room with a blue carpet, and a meena stands beside him to the right.

Sidonier sits in front of him and looks straight into those eyes.

The light of day slips through the window on her left, illuminating her beautiful face.

"Let's get down to business. Is Bartolomeus in favor of the Academy?

"You have no reason to disagree. Is Sidonier against you?

Although Sidonier did not nod back to his question, he does not deny it either.

"'Cause you haven't solved the problem yet, have you? If we create a new institution now, aren't they going after it?

I think Bal will be enough to hear her concerns.

But he says he has another idea.

"There's a chance you'll be beaten up, punished, and quiet for the time being."

"The marshal has been knocked down by Master Bal, too. You won't be able to suddenly prepare more than a marshal."

Meena also supported his opinion, but Sidonier ignored this.

"If you're optimistic, you must be. But I'd also like you to forgive me for being pessimistic."

She only looks at Bal.

The idea was that Meena wouldn't care if he could convince him.

"Then I'd like you to share your pessimistic thoughts and ideas. If you don't, you won't be able to judge."

"Of course, sir."

In response to Bal's remarks, Sidonier reveals his point.

"First of all, we will not stop invading the enemy where we have defeated the Marshal"

"Yeah. So?

He continued without surprise.

"Rather out of control, there is a risk of more sudden attacks"

"... you think the marshal I defeated was the enemy commander?

Sidonier rounds his orange eyes at Bal's inquiry.

"Oh, do you think Bartolomeus is different?

"I might have been a leader, but I thought the chain of command might be different. It's just an unfounded intuition."

Apparently she couldn't understand his rhetoric, moving her eyebrows strangely.

"I'd like to hear your thoughts, Bartolomeus. Sometimes I don't know if I'm actually you."

"A man named Gevardu had an attitude that looked down on all the creatures on earth. Given the character of the man, it seems likely that the chain of command was not in place and that he was only able to unilaterally follow someone on the ground with fear and strength"

When he heard Bal's predictions, Sidonier shrugged his ankle.

"... that you're not a commander, even if it's a mastermind, or a back shield?

"Oh. Perhaps, but for Gevardu, the enemy forces felt like abandoned pawns worth using? That's why I was coming to the Empire without telling anyone. If you were the right commander, would you have escorted him and taken him?

She will be in his opinion.

"I can't think of any objections.... What do you think of Meena?

Meena, pointing the water at her, answered annoyingly.

"I agree with Master Bal. It's hard to think of a senior executive in the demonic world to lead an organism on the ground and move it brilliantly as a limb. You should see it as being used for your own purposes. Assuming it doesn't fail, it doesn't hurt or itch."

Although Sidonier nearly nodded, he sees her as asking her to remember to catch on to her words.

"It's as if you know something about the Demon Realm executives. What the hell is this all about?

"What, it was just in the documents my ancestors left behind. They're like demon generals, marshals, etc."

Meena does not evil, but answers with dignity.

Sidonier was just Yagami Fai, although he was flashy.

Refresh your mind in a second and watch the var.

The bal was as flashy as she was, so I found out I didn't know anything.

I noticed her gaze. Bal becomes the face of "Leave it to yourself".

"Meena. Can I see that document, if you don't mind? I want to share as much as possible with His Majesty and Yagami Fai."

"It would be nice to show it to Master Bal, but it would be difficult to show it to others"

Meena moves her eyebrows about a few millimeters.

Bal figured out he was in real trouble, so he decided to give in.

"I can write anything down, or I can talk to you as you look at the documents. Can't you do either of these?

"If you look at what I wrote, and I explain it to you, it's fine. I'm sorry."

If you look where Meena apologized to him, apparently there's also a reason why it's not her own will.

Bal and Sidonier realize that, so they give up asking me to show them the original.

"Then do me a favor."

"Yes, sir."

Meena took on his favor.
