That Ordinary Mister is a War God

84. Challenges facing the Empire

Having been reminded of the power of Yagami Fai, he moved to a section west of the castle reserved for the Academy, where a brief entrance ceremony was held.

But there's no sign of Bal and Meena on the spot.

They were thankfully sweet at Jürgen's decision that they did not need to be present at the admissions ceremony.

"The future was promising, but at this stage it felt like it was just a hina, Master Bal."

Meena talks from next door to Bal, who walks slowly through the castle.

"At best, he'll be around twenty. You'll need plenty of experience to be a man of strength. And whoever is likely to become Yagami Fai, Chancellor, General, or Mage Secretary, is already at that age."

"You didn't see anyone who could be a general or a magician."

She gently explored and grasped the general power of the first-year students.

"Well, they don't come out that way either.... I think that's exactly the challenge the Empire has"

and Bal sighs.

What he refers to as the imperial challenge is that, although some talent is outstanding, it is therefore difficult to find a successor that can replace him.

"The generation change of Yagami Fai seemed to go smoothly?

Meena speaks out her doubts.

As far as she knows, we have all eight Yagami Fai who seem the hardest to collect.

Bal smiles bitterly, pointing out what she forgets.

"If it weren't for you, there'd be only seven of us, and someone couldn't retire."

"Oh, you did"

Meena smiled shyly.

It wasn't just that she was so strong that she was enrolled in Yagami Fai.

Had there been any other worthy strength, it would have been very unlikely that they would have been chosen.

"Again, if you have the right people and everyone recognizes you, you can retire."

Bal returns what he once said to her when he scouted.

"You don't have to worry about it. I'm not dissatisfied."

She answered with a smile and took away the consciousness of the samurai who happened to witness it.

The exterior is a unique beauty.

None of the men come to courtship because their personalities have become known, but when no one knew them yet, applications came like mountains.

"I don't know about the rest of them."

She vomits poison in a teary-eyed way.

It was never going to change how hard it was against anything other than Bal.

"Everybody admits it inside out. I don't do anything because I can't win one-on-one, what a quiet bunch of Yagami Fai are rarely."

He appreciates his people that way.

I once told Claude that I was unhappy not to say anything about her attitude, but it was probably about two or three people, including Claude, who wanted to say it but couldn't.

Sidonier is critical of the emperor personally, although he obeys the emperor's formal orders and the decisions of the state.

Manuel isn't without loyalty, but it doesn't have to be Bal to fight for the Emperor with his life in jeopardy.

Exactly. If there were eight of the strongest class beings, they weren't all chunks of loyalty.

"Finally lately, but I think I figured it out around there"

Meena also acknowledges his opinion.

Outside the castle, they went out in the light of the sun, and bowed to the two men, Empress Beate and Sidonier.

"Oh, to Bal. To Ville. Meena. Enough with the academy?

The princess shows that she knows exactly what she knows.

"Yes, I asked my master Jürgen for permission that we would have nothing to do."

Bal and Meena were just abbreviations for just slightly lowering their heads, but Beate doesn't get angry or anything.

"Then why don't you have some tea? I just caught Sidonier by accident."

When Bal glances lightly and sees the caught Sidonier, she grins.

Apparently, Sidonier intends to get along with Empress Beate.

"Thank you very much for inviting me. We'll join you."

This way of saying it to the Empress, if it is true, is not praised.

But Beate, the stranger and famous, is rather pleased.

"I did it. To Ville. How's Meena?

"I'm coming."

Both she and Sidonier reply out of Meena's mouth as expected if Bal were to come.
