That Ordinary Mister is a War God

115. Hendler Trading Country

The Hendler Merchant Nation is located in the north of the kingdom.

The point that this country seems odd from other countries would be that the "Council of Commerce", run by the merchants, is the supreme decision-making organization.

Twenty-four deputies have been elected in a vote by registered merchants, and a "Chamber of Commerce" has been held by those twenty-four.

A gentleman who had been present in Bal's crusade against the Red Ghosts returned to Fawn, the capital city where that commercial council was held.

The gentleman goes to the top floor of the red brick building and opens the black door.

"I'm back now"

"Thanks for your hard work"

Twenty-four deputies were waiting for him.

It was not supposed to be a meeting day, but we got together because he was coming back.

"So how was the end?

"The god of the kingdom's struggle failed to exorcise the red greed, but the god of war of the light defeated me without doing anything."

When the gentleman briefly reported, the reaction of the deputies was divided into two parts.

"You were right to ask the Empire, after all."

"Mm-hmm. You can think of the strength of the Light War God, as rumored"

First are those who rejoice that the Red Greedy has been crusaded.

This one is more of a percentage.

"And it's a kingdom fluke."

"You can't rely on me for a long time. Only attitude is continental."

"Is there something I can't do?"

The other is those who are angry and mourn at the fuzziness of the kingdom.

The kingdom is regarded as the strongest in the western part of the continent, but in fact it was unknown.

No other country boasts of its own power.

"I wish I could cross empires and kingdoms and sweep the kingdoms away, but there's a wall of distance."

One strikes his tongue abominably.

A terribly powerful obstacle existed: distance in order to achieve his aim.

Empires exist at the end of the east, kingdoms at the end of the west, and there are a number of states in between.

One of the reasons why the two countries do not clash would be this location condition.

Confederations and groups of urban states are not easy opponents to attack.

If you are an empire with the power of war that might easily be attacked, you did not have the territorial ambition to be happy for the vast majority of the people living on this continent.

If your relationship has deteriorated to the point where you have no choice but to decide on a female male, like the kingdom of Gestern without it now, I guess it's something else.

"The continent will be engulfed in war."

One said to his face that one was careless.

"There are some disturbing signs. See?"

He speaks to the gentleman.

"Yeah. I asked the god of war, and he said there was clearly a strange demon appearance even in the empire"

"Again... so did you take the back? Didn't you just come back from hearing the word of the god of war?

The gentleman nods to the words of the representative senator.

"Yes. We've released about ten people from intelligence and checked. Since the five or so people were most off the news, I thought maybe the Empire had taken care of them."

"... I remember hearing that the Empire was less than defensive, but was it demanding?

Another delegate casts doubt.

The gentleman replied carefully.

"Maybe it is, maybe it's been enhanced recently"

"I guess there's no reason to try it, is there?

"Sure. So far, our empire and I are not bad friends, but if we send a spy, we won't."

Another delegate says so.

A female deputy laughed coldly.

"Oh? Isn't that what it would be like if the five people who disappeared were from our country?

The air in the field calms back for a moment to the sober point.

"Hmm, even the Empire will be enough to send spies to our country. We're just talking about each other."

An old representative laughs with his nose.

He was a man who seemed to look good with the word old.

"Fair enough. In the meantime, the immediate threat left. Let the circulation resume in the meantime and let one make money."

I did not dispute the Speaker's words.
