Yet despite the worsening situation, they couldn’t send the other groups stationed inside to reinforce the fight.

Doing so would directly violate the princess’s orders.

No one dared to oppose her command, and openly disregarding it would be nothing short of insubordination.

So they endured... waiting for her arrival.

The moment Addison arrived, the warriors felt as if a heavy burden had finally been lifted from their shoulders.

Seeing their expressions, Addison immediately climbed up the wall to assess the situation for herself.

What she saw made her frown.

The warriors and the Alpha leading them had been separated and surrounded. No matter how much they tried to regroup, the monsters and wild animals worked together to keep them apart, constantly attacking from every direction and preventing them from helping one another.

The battlefield had turned into complete chaos.

The Alpha at the front was already covered in wounds. Even with the natural healing ability of his wolf form, the sheer number of injuries he had sustained was beginning to overwhelm him. His massive wolf body was now limping slightly, his movements no longer as swift as before.

The other warriors were in even worse condition.

Some of them had deep gashes across their bodies, while others struggled just to remain standing as they desperately fought to survive.

Seeing this, anger instantly surged through Addison.

These were her people.

Her gaze turned cold as she looked back toward the warbear still standing below the wall. He simply stared up at her, looking almost innocent, as if he had nothing to do with the chaos outside, while foolishly waiting for her order.

"Get to the front line and provide support!" Addison growled angrily.

However, even as she gave the order, she knew it still wouldn’t be enough.

No matter how powerful the warbear was, he could only reinforce one section of the wall. And without even checking the other sides, Addison already knew that the situation elsewhere was likely just as dire. The section she was currently at was simply the most desperate because of the monstrous bear rampaging through their ranks.

But if creatures of that level were appearing in other areas of the wall as well, defending the entire perimeter would become incredibly difficult.

Still, Addison couldn’t just keep pulling prisoners out of Alpha Hue’s prison to reinforce their forces.

She had already taken one.

Doing it repeatedly would be pushing things too far.

Besides, not every prisoner was like the warbear. Many of them were rogues who were unpredictable and impossible to trust. Even if she released them, there was no guarantee they wouldn’t turn on her people the moment they regained their freedom.

The only reason she was willing to make a deal with the warbear was because he came from a different race.

If they executed him and it later turned out that he held some important position among his kind, it could easily ignite a conflict between the two races. If that happened, Alpha Hue would be placed in an extremely difficult position, and Addison might not be able to shield him from the consequences.

But if things were handled properly, the situation could instead become an opportunity.

Helping the warbear now could earn them a favor from his kind in the future. If her people ever fell on hard times, that connection might become a lifeline.

More importantly, the warbear was rational.

Rogues were not.

Negotiating with him was far safer than trying to control a pack of unstable rogues.

"Roger that!" the warbear replied.

Without wasting another moment, he began climbing the wall.

Addison watched him with a hint of confusion, but the warbear didn’t even glance in her direction. Once he reached the top, he paused briefly and looked down, silently assessing the chaotic battlefield below.

Then he jumped.

Midway through the fall, before his body even reached the ground, his form suddenly expanded and twisted as he shifted.

By the time he landed, a massive black bear had already taken his place.

The beast was enormous, slightly larger even than the monstrous bear currently rampaging across the battlefield. Its fur was dark as night, and its sheer presence radiated overwhelming strength.

Ahead of him, the monstrous bear continued bulldozing through the werewolves’ ranks with reckless fury. Its massive body slammed into warriors, forcing them to scatter and dodge just to avoid being crushed. Many were already injured simply from trying to evade its rampage.

And the moment they moved aside, the monsters and wild animals lurking nearby would immediately seize the opportunity to attack.

The battlefield had become a deadly trap.

The monstrous bear, seemingly lost in a frenzy, attacked indiscriminately. Both sides had suffered casualties because of its wild rampage. However, the enemy forces still far outnumbered the werewolves, so the losses barely made a dent in their numbers.

But the moment the warbear landed among the werewolves and unleashed a thunderous roar of his own—

The battlefield froze for a split second.

The surrounding monsters and wild animals instinctively flinched, their bodies stiffening as their primal instincts screamed at them.

The newcomer was far more dangerous than the werewolves.

However, that hesitation lasted only a brief moment.

Soon, the madness controlling them took over once again.

Their frenzied eyes locked onto the warbear, and instead of continuing their assault on the werewolves, the monsters and wild animals collectively turned and charged toward him.

"ROOOAR!!!"

The warbear released a thunderous roar as it rose onto its hind legs. Its massive frame towered over the battlefield as it spread its arms wide, the patch of white fur across its chest and throat fully exposed, almost like a deliberate invitation for the monsters and wild animals to attack.

The enemies took the bait.

But the moment they rushed close enough—

The warbear’s enormous paw swept across them like a falling boulder.

CRACK!

Several unfortunate creatures caught in the strike had their skulls instantly shattered. Blood splattered across the ground, and crimson droplets stained the white fur around the warbear’s throat.

The beast roared again, louder this time, as if deliberately drawing all the monsters’ attention toward itself.

In a single swipe, three creatures, a pair of monster wolves and a goblin, were crushed and thrown aside like broken dolls.

Suddenly, a tiger lunged from the side, attempting a sneak attack.

But the warbear reacted instantly.

It stepped back and dropped onto all fours, shortening the distance between them.

The sudden movement startled the tiger. Its body flinched for the briefest moment.

That split-second hesitation sealed its fate.

The warbear’s massive jaws snapped shut.

CRUNCH.

Its fangs clamped down on the tiger’s head, biting clean through bone and flesh. Then the warbear violently shook its head from side to side, its jaws still locked around the skull.

Once.

Twice.

Again.

The tiger’s body was quickly torn apart, the violent motion ripping its head free from its body.

Still gripping the severed head in its jaws, the warbear seized the lifeless body with its paw and hurled it toward the incoming wild animals.

The heavy carcass crashed into the charging animals, knocking several of them off their feet and injuring others as they tumbled across the ground.

And the warbear stood there amidst the chaos—

A living wall of muscle, blood, and fury.
