Chapter 3: I Am Cheng Yuan’s Girlfriend

Wang Shanshan was so furious she was practically fuming, glaring daggers at Lin Ruoxi!
But the moment she got a clear look at Lin Ruoxi’s near-perfect face, Wang Shanshan’s arrogance instantly evaporated.
Compared to Lin Ruoxi, she really couldn’t measure up.
What infuriated Wang Shanshan the most was that Jin Pengfei, standing beside her, was also staring dumbstruck—he was practically drooling!
Wang Shanshan was about to lose it. She reached out and pinched Jin Pengfei hard on his side, making him wince in pain.
Only then did Jin Pengfei remember that Wang Shanshan was right there. He quickly lowered his head but continued to sneak peeks at Lin Ruoxi out of the corner of his eye.
"Honey, this eyesore is ruining my appetite. Let’s go eat somewhere else."
Cheng Yuan nodded silently. ’He really did need time to process all this!’
’But I can’t let Jin Pengfei off this easily,’ he thought. ’Time to collect a little interest.’
Cheng Yuan took a step forward and stood before Jin Pengfei, who flinched instinctively.
But with two beautiful women watching, Jin Pengfei couldn’t afford to look weak.
"Cheng! You lay one finger on me and I’ll make sure you rot in jail for the rest of your life!"
Having just gotten out of prison, Cheng Yuan certainly wasn’t about to assault someone in public. He spoke with a pleasant smile, "Jin Pengfei, why would I touch you? I ought to thank you for taking my sloppy seconds! Let’s see... there are fifty-two weeks in a year. We did it at least three to five times a week, sometimes as many as seven or eight. We’ll take the average and call it five times. And let’s say thirty minutes a session. That’s a total of seven thousand, eight hundred minutes. If you don’t mind that she’s dirty, then by all means, she’s all yours!"

The second floor of the cafeteria instantly erupted in an uproar. The surrounding students started pointing at Jin Pengfei and Wang Shanshan, whispering amongst themselves.
Jin Pengfei’s face turned deathly pale. Every number Cheng Yuan rattled off drove him closer to the brink of insanity.
’He and Wang Shanshan had only been dating for a week, and he hadn’t even gotten anywhere with her yet. He thought he’d gotten a brand-new car, but it turned out to be a public bus!’
’And with so many students watching, he was being utterly and completely humiliated!’
"Pengfei, don’t listen to Cheng Yuan’s lies! We..."
Wang Shanshan tried to explain, but Jin Pengfei, having lost so much face, wasn’t listening. He shoved her aside and stormed toward the staircase. He was too humiliated to stay in the cafeteria a moment longer.
Wang Shanshan quickly hurried after Jin Pengfei, still trying to explain something.
Soon, the two of them disappeared from Cheng Yuan’s sight.
Cheng Yuan gently shook his head. ’If Wang Shanshan had just held on for one more week,’ he thought, ’she would have become the happiest woman in the world!’
Too bad there were no ’what ifs’ in this world.
Cheng Yuan silently circulated the Celestial Witch Heart Method and gradually calmed himself. Not a trace of warmth remained in his eyes.
It was only then that Xu Ke snapped out of his shock.
When he had seen Lin Ruoxi from a distance, Xu Ke had thought she was beautiful. But seeing her up close, she was breathtaking—like a goddess.
"Brother Yuan, did you save the world in a past life or something? How did you find a girlfriend this gorgeous! She absolutely blows Wang Shanshan out of the water!"
Cheng Yuan was about to instinctively explain that Lin Ruoxi wasn’t his girlfriend, but she took the initiative and extended a hand to Xu Ke. "Hello, I’m Lin Ruoxi, Cheng Yuan’s girlfriend."
"It’s an honor! I’m Xu Ke, Brother Yuan’s best bro! You two are a perfect match—the handsome couple of the year! I’ll leave you two lovebirds to it!"
Xu Ke shot Cheng Yuan a mischievous wink and a look that said everything, then turned and left.
Cheng Yuan turned to Lin Ruoxi with a wry smile. "Miss Lin, Xu Ke just misunderstood. Why didn’t you clear things up?"
