Chapter 2: The Awakening of Dominion
In the beginning-
Humanity worshipped Vlox as a god.
His name was carved into mountains, whispered through prayers, and spoken beside dying fires during the endless age of fear.
Because humanity was weak.
And the world was cruel.
Beyond the walls of ancient settlements lurked demons - creatures vastly superior to humans in strength, speed, and brutality To the demons, mankind existed for only two purposes:
To suffer.
And to be consumed.
For thousands of years, humanity survived through worship and desperation They prayed to the heavens for salvation while kneeling beneath fear so deeply rooted that even children were born already understanding despair.
Every generation believed the same thing:
Only the gods could save them.
And high above existence itself, Vlox silently watched.
Empires rose.
Empires fell.
Humans lived and died like grains of sand scattered beneath time.
To Vlox, it was meaningless.
But humanity continued changing.
Slowly.
Quietly.
Inevitably.
Three thousand years passed.
Then another five hundred.
And little by little-
Humanity abandoned the gods.
Temples became empty.
Prayers disappeared.
Faith faded from the world like smoke carried away by the wind.
At first, fear spread among the people.
Many believed divine punishment would follow.
But nothing happened.
The sky did not fall.
The gods remained silent.
And for the first time in history-
Humanity stopped looking upward for salvation.
Instead-
They looked at themselves.
That single change altered everything.
Because within the hearts of humans, something began awakening.
Not divine power.
Not blessings from the heavens.
But something born entirely from human will itself.
Dominion.
A power forged through conviction, survival, and the refusal to surrender.
Those capable of believing in themselves completely - those willing to fight for their families, protect their people, and reject helplessness - could awaken Dominion and surpass the limits of ordinary mortals.
Humanity soon realized a brutal truth:
If you cannot believe in yourself-
You cannot survive.
That belief spread across civilizations like wildfire.
And for the first time since the birth of mankind-
Humans gained the strength to stand against demons.
Thus began the Great War.
An endless conflict stained by fire, blood, and extinction.
From above the world, Vlox observed the war silently.
Countless humans and demons slaughtered one another across burning kingdoms while rivers turned red beneath the corpses of the dead.
Yet Vlox could not understand it.
Why did the two races hate each other so deeply?
Why did humans continue resisting despite overwhelming odds?
And most importantly-
How had humanity awakened Dominion without him?
For the first time in countless ages-
Vlox experienced something unfamiliar.
Confusion.
And beneath that confusion-
Curiosity.
Below him, another battlefield descended into chaos.
Thousands of demons surged across the plains beneath a blackened sky while human warriors formed defensive lines against the incoming tide of monsters.
At the front of the demon army stood General Kajkha.
His massive figure towered above the battlefield as dark energy twisted around his body.
The demon general looked upon the humans with contempt.
"Pathetic creatures."
His voice rumbled like distant thunder.
"These insects truly believe they can challenge demonkind?"
A cruel smile spread across his face.
"Remind them of their place."
Kajkha raised his weapon toward the human army.
"Attack."
The demons roared and charged forward like a living storm.
But unlike the humans of ancient times-
These warriors did not tremble.
At the front of the human army stood Ragnar Vael.
Wind swept across his armor as Dominion energy burned faintly around his body like crimson fire.
He stared directly at the advancing demons without fear.
Then Ragnar raised his sword.
"We are no longer weak."
His voice echoed across the battlefield.
"For humanity’s future-"
Dominion erupted across the human ranks.
"ATTACK!"
