Chapter 164 Lucas plays a role in...the design.
Listening to Barry’s spit-flying explanation, Lucas, sitting in the back, felt a bit bored.
He glanced at Caitlin Snow. It was rare to see such a high-tier white person in American TV shows nowadays. Fortunately, the first few seasons of The Flash were filmed early, otherwise even Caitlin Snow would have been turned into a dreadlocked, same-sex-loving, traumatized minority.

Lucas gently pushed the vial over. Caitlin blinked in confusion and said softly, "Lucas? What is this?"
Lucas rested his hands behind his head. "I heard your main field is biology, with two master’s degrees and a Ph.D. I’d like you to help me analyze the applicability of this vial."
"If you could integrate a little bit of speed or something into it... like the Speed Force!"
Caitlin swirled the green liquid in her hand. "Its ingredients look very complex... What does this drug do?"
"This stuff is called Temporary Compound V. It can alter a mortal’s genes, giving ordinary people superpowers too. And it has been fully refined, with no side effects like causing cancer or brain tissue failure!"
"Any ordinary mortal, as long as they inject it into their body, will randomly obtain an extremely powerful superpower for the next hour."
"However, after the drug wears off, the body will fall into extreme fatigue, to the point where you can’t even lift your legs... I suppose that shouldn’t count as a side effect."
Dr. Harrison Wells and Cisco Ramon subconsciously glanced over.
Temporary Compound V? Is the effect really that strong?
Allowing ordinary people to gain superpowers with no side effects—this point alone was enough to shock anyone!
If it could be fused with V-9, it might even make up for the adverse effects of the Speed Force drug, creating a side-effect-free Speed Force drug to infinitely enhance Barry’s speed!
"Are you sure this has undergone clinical trials?"

Caitlin hesitated slightly.
"What do you want to use these drugs for?"
Lucas said bluntly, "Caitlin, you can’t comprehend the kind of enemies we are facing. In the world I am about to go to, enemies like galactic conquerors exist. For example, there’s a super boss named Thanos!"
"He forged a gauntlet and gathered the Infinity Stones, which possess different powers. Then, using the combination of the gauntlet and the stones, he only needs to snap his fingers to wipe out half of all life in the universe!"
"Imagine how terrifying it would be if half of your team suddenly vanished in an instant, with no explanation!"
Caitlin shuddered.
"Is this your real profession? Traveling to different worlds, dealing with all kinds of megalomaniacs and conquerors, and saving those worlds from their hands?"
Lucas nodded. "Exactly!"
Defeating the conqueror is only the first step.
The next step: this world is mine!!
However, there was no need to tell these people the latter part. It wasn’t like they could travel across worlds and find out the truth.
Cisco’s vibe power seemed to only vibe scenes that were beneficial to him anyway.
"I can try to analyze and research it. I can’t give a hundred percent guarantee on whether I can fully understand it and proceed to the next step of fusion testing!"
"Just do your best, I’m not forcing it."
Lucas smiled.
Even if Compound V couldn’t match the Speed Force drug, combining it with some dark energy or dark matter would also work. dark matter and dark energy were bound to exist in every universe.
These things were the fundamental elements that made up the universe.
Caitlin began to grow excited, murmuring under her breath, "If we fuse the genetic stability of this compound with V-9’s speed conduction formula, we might actually be able to create a controllable speed-type superpower drug!"
Cisco Ramon and Dr. Harrison Wells exchanged a look.

There were quite a few beautiful female supporting characters in The Flash, like Caitlin, Jesse Quick, Patty...
Caitlin was a series regular.
Jesse was on Earth-2.
Patty had already gone off to college. Besides, the Patty of this world looked exactly like Butcher’s wife.
She could be considered Becca’s doppelganger!
Barry didn’t say much in the end. After all, now that Caitlin had lost Ronnie Raymond, she would eventually have to start a new relationship and move past the shadow of her past.
This was the common mindset of men and women in American TV shows.
Losing a soulmate in one episode, and jumping into a new relationship in the next.
The day of the final showdown arrived quickly.
That night, in an abandoned industrial zone on the outskirts of Central City, the multiverse amplifier stood tall under the night sky, letting out a deafening roar.
Barry rushed to the meeting point.
Zoom was running a few extra laps on the multiverse amplifier, letting the device absorb at least 100 laps’ worth of energy in advance.
"The agreement has changed, Flash. Now you only have four hundred laps!"
Zoom glanced at Lucas, who was floating in mid-air, and felt he should run another hundred laps.
The other guy was a wild card.
If he made a move, Zoom would have absolutely no chance of winning.
"Give Joe back to me first!"
Zoom brought Joe out of the iron cage and threw him to Barry.
"Don’t worry, I won’t break my word regarding the hostage."
Joe and Iris West embraced.
Then, the veteran detective looked at Lucas. "And this is...?"
Iris West said, "I’ll explain to you after the battle is over. He’s on our side."
Lucas still had his arms crossed.
He hadn’t planned on getting involved, but Barry had said that while he couldn’t interfere, there was no rule against spectating. He could just stand there and serve as a decorative presence to put some psychological pressure on Zoom.
Lucas thought that the Flash was actually quite clever sometimes.
