Chapter 260 The Monitor

"There’s no time to talk, kid!"

Lucas patted Barry on the shoulder.

"Do you think you still have time now?"

Just as he finished speaking, above Central City, the previously clear sky was suddenly enveloped by an extremely eerie blood-red aurora.

The charged particles in the air were decaying at a hundred-millionfold speed, and the ground began to vibrate at a high frequency without warning, as if the underlying framework of the entire Universe was being impacted by a completely opposite force, annihilating inch by inch.

"Cisco, what’s going on?" Barry asked immediately.

Cisco immediately accessed the satellite to check, but completely failed to monitor what caused the aurora in the sky to appear.

"Those high-energy charged particles are decaying at a terrifying speed. If this continues, it won’t be long before Central City disappears, followed by Earth, and finally the entire Universe!"

Cisco made a horrifying judgment.

"Not just these!"

Lucas reconfigured the computer so that it could scan the Multiverse.

The computer indeed popped up an alert.

"Alert! The multiverse detector has detected a large-scale spatial annihilation! Earth-2... Earth-9... Earth-X... are disappearing at a speed visible to our naked eyes! Entire Planets, and then entire galaxies, at the moment of contacting that red storm, were completely reduced to nothingness from the molecular level!"

Everyone else gathered in front of the screen.

"That is a wave of antimatter energy."

Lucas began to popularize science for everyone, "On the backside of the material Universe, there is an unexplored area called the antimatter Universe. And an ancient entity named Anti-Monitor has awakened. Its only mission is to use the antimatter wave to erase all positive multiverses and return everything to dead silence."

"Who on Earth are you?"

Just as Lucas finished speaking, a dazzling golden light tore through the void.

Mar Novu stepped out, an ancient coercion emanating from his entire body.

His gaze swept across the audience like lightning, finally landing on Lucas.

Those words that Lucas said were supposed to be said by him.

How could his identity be stolen?

"Whoa, whoa, whoa! Who is this this time?" Cisco was startled.

A black man suddenly appeared in the room; who wouldn’t be scared by that?

"I am the Guardian of the Multiverse, The Monitor Novu! Flash Barry, the Speed Force within your body is the crucial firewood destined to fight against the darkness. You need to go with me to the multiverse nexus, sacrifice your life for the continuation of billions of Worlds, to extinguish the antimatter cannon. This is an inescapable destiny!"

"Who, me?"

Barry had a bewildered look on his face.

Who is this?! Are they sick in the head?!

How could someone just pop up out of nowhere and ask him to go die?

Who did Speedsters offend?!

"That’s right!" Novu nodded.

"Shut the fuck up!" Lucas directly interrupted The Monitor’s preaching.

Although the Anti-Monitor already existed, the trouble caused by The Monitor himself still required others to sacrifice their lives to clean up his mess.

No matter how you looked at it, it was damn awkward!

Novu wore an angry expression and looked in the direction of the voice, only to see Lucas’s true form faintly appearing on his body.

That grand will was actually a bit stronger than his own!

"This prying will... It’s you! You are the one prying into my existence!"

The Monitor instantly understood that the abnormality he felt earlier was Lucas prying into him.

"That’s right, I did it!"

Lucas nonchalantly admitted it, a trace of the formula patterns of the anti-life equation flashing deep within his eyes.

The Monitor instantly bristled with anger.

"anti-life equation? How do you have this thing? Who on Earth are you, hiding among these mortals with what intentions?"

Novu’s golden divine armor appeared, energy blooming in his hands.

"Kneel!"

Lucas unleashed his divine power, applying pressure towards The Monitor.

Novu barely lasted a few minutes before being pressed down to kneel on the ground.

The anti-life equation didn’t have such great power yet, but with Lucas’s divine power stacked, even throwing a brick over could knock The Monitor unconscious.

Both being sixth-dimensional, being slightly stronger made the gap very obvious.

"A sixth-dimensional Creation God! How is it possible? Why would an ancient entity like you descend into a fringe timeline?"

Only then could Novu see Lucas’s true appearance, which was not the conventional anti-life equation.

Only a sixth-dimensional being could truly harm him.

"Mar Novu, you were the foolish one back then, opening the seal of the antimatter dimension and releasing the Anti-Monitor. Now you want to force these mortal heroes all over the World to die for you?"

"In this World, the only person who can decide who lives and who dies is me. It’s not your turn to point fingers and order people around in the present World."

Lucas waved his hand casually, withdrawing the coercion.

"Stay obediently and don’t cause trouble! From now on, I will fight this war for you!"

The Monitor slumped on the ground, breathing heavily.

"It’s impossible. The Anti-Monitor is extremely powerful. The demise of the Universe is predestined. Only by gathering all the Heroes can we break the predestined end and reshape this Universe!"

"You are too narrow-minded. Those who have not yet touched the paintbrush are still following the tragic narrative of the DC World. You can never get rid of the dark background color. This is a characteristic, and also the shackles forged by the story!"

The Monitor actually couldn’t understand what Lucas said.

Everyone else on the side was even more dazed.

Sixth-dimensional... ancient entity... fringe timeline... Multiverse... Anti-Monitor...

These words popped out one by one, making them feel like country bumpkins.

"What do you mean? You can defeat the Anti-Monitor?"

Novu slowly stood up, looking at the man in front of him.

From a mortal’s perspective, Lucas was still a youth wearing casual clothes.

But from The Monitor’s perspective, the opponent was similarly clad in battle armor, exuding divine radiances of rules all over his body, containing time, reality, soul, space, mind, power, causality, freedom, anti-freedom...

What kind of entity could gather so many authorities?

"The positive and negative sides of the Universe are like a horizontal funnel. Once someone tilts it, the sand grains at one end will flow to the other end, thereby eroding that World."

"The Anti-Monitor is the sand grain flowing into the material Universe, and you broke the balance. How could an ambitious person like me help you defeat the Anti-Monitor?"

"Destruction is an inevitable major event, but how to reshape this World must be decided according to my will!"

Lucas sent a telepathic message over, and The Monitor’s expression changed.

However, before he could speak, Lucas clapped his hands together, and a polyhedron seal was applied to The Monitor, sealing him into the primeval void.

"Before I complete the transformation of this Universe, you better obediently go to sleep!"

Lucas sneered coldly.
