"Those who are willing to follow me..."

"Step forward."

The words fell.

After a brief silence.

Belesa was the first to fly behind Lucas.

Then came thousands of Viltrumites.

Everyone who had been saved by Lucas chose to follow him; they had not the slightest doubt about Lucas’s combat record, only endless trust and fanaticism.

The King had given them a second life.

Wherever the King went, they would follow!

Lucas smiled with satisfaction.

"You, Thragg, can just stay here and live with a pile of junk. After the scourge virus ravaged everything, Thragg only has fifty Viltrumites left under his command."

He had over fifty thousand here!

"Once my grand proliferation plan starts, you, Thragg, will instantly turn into a beggar... No, that’s wrong, you won’t even be as good as a beggar!"

"Very good."

"Then... let’s set off!"

In the next instant.

Tens of thousands of streams of light entered warp simultaneously.

On the surface.

Conquest’s consciousness was hazy; he felt the weakness in his body fading, and a familiar voice reached his ears.

It was Lucas.

The two of them had fought for decades; he could not be mistaken.

His former rival had actually extended a helping hand to him.

"A warrior should not die on a sickbed. I look forward to the day we meet again to fight another battle!"

Lucas’s voice reached his ears.

"The day we meet again? Is he... leaving?"

In his daze, Conquest felt a supreme sorrow envelop him.

Then he heard Thragg’s voice.

After that, the two left, and the surrounding Viltrumites chased after them.

He was left alone on the spot again.

"No!!"

Conquest sat up in shock.

"You’re awake!" Thragg was floating in mid-air, covered in wounds.

"Where is Lucas?"

Conquest didn’t even care about his severed wrist, only concerned with asking about Lucas’s whereabouts.

"He didn’t die." Thragg said indifferently, "We fought to a draw. He took tens of thousands of Viltrumites, betrayed the Empire, and has already left!"

"Betrayal?"

Conquest floated to face Thragg. He clenched his remaining fist; the power within him was surging, showing no signs of the weakness from the virus.

Lucas had healed him, not letting him die on a sickbed.

His former rival had protected his honor.

"I don’t believe it!"

Conquest shook his head.

"Believe it or not, this is the truth." Thragg didn’t explain further and flew away immediately.

Conquest punched the ground.

In the days that followed, Conquest would fight anyone he saw, becoming extremely gloomy. His residence became even more remote, and he never listened to the Regent’s orders, often disappearing for months at a time.

...

Lucas had no idea that Conquest was searching the universe almost inch by inch to find him.

But the universe was so vast; without precise coordinates, even if he flew until the end of his life, he could never find Lucas.

On the other side.

Lucas led tens of thousands of Viltrumites across the long sea of stars and finally stopped in front of an orange-red planet.

This planet was an affiliate of Viltrum, called Orantis.

The race on the planet was called the Tivan, an intelligent species. Their bodies were covered with a layer of crystalline carapace. Their civilization was quite advanced, and their technological level was almost capable of building a Dyson sphere.

However, they had built metallic ring belts around the planet and were not engaging in stellar energy.

The reason was simple: there was no point in doing so.

The iron hooves of the Viltrumite Empire had once trampled over this place.

No matter how advanced the technology was, it couldn’t compare to brute force.

Orantis was a colony planet, and to this day, a Viltrumite was stationed there as the Empire’s overseer.

As soon as Lucas’s fleet appeared, that Viltrumite noticed.

He flew into the high sky, frowning, staring at this dark, overwhelming mass.

"Who are you people?"

He shouted sternly, "Imperial troops are not allowed to be mobilized without permission! Identify your unit! Who is in charge?"

Lucas hovered at the very front, not even glancing at him.

He waved his hand.

Just that one motion.

Belesa and Cassandra understood instantly.

Two figures shot out from the left and right simultaneously.

Before the Viltrumite could even react, he was slashed by two afterimages.

"Puff."

Belesa’s hand blade pierced his chest, and Cassandra chopped off his head, bringing it back to present to Lucas.

"Crush it!"

Lucas waved his hand.

The Empire’s overseer couldn’t even finish a full sentence before being slashed into several pieces, his head crushed into nothingness.

On that metal ring belt, countless Tivan who were watching were dumbfounded.

On their tech screens, Lucas’s face was directly magnified; the fifty thousand Viltrumites behind him were enough to conquer the entire universe!

"What... what is going on?"

The Tivan leader, an old man whose carapace shimmered with a golden light, flew into the high sky trembling.

On Lucas’s chest, it wasn’t three stripes, but a bright red V.

The old man’s heart skipped a beat.

"My name is Lucas."

Lucas instantly arrived in front of the old man. "From today on, I am the new leader of the Viltrumites."

"The old era of enslaving you is over."

"I am announcing something! From today on, Orantis is liberated!!"

"Huh?"

The Tivan were incredulous.

Liberated from whom? And who would they be enslaved by next?

"But liberation does not mean indulgence. I give you freedom, I allow you to expand, and to act under my honor!"

Lucas said loudly, "I allow you to offer differing opinions, but you must accept my rule. From now on, fight for my glory!"

He spread his arms, looking down at the faces full of awe beneath him.

"Listen well!"

"Under the sky, wherever my gaze reaches, it is my territory."

"Wherever my blade points, they are my subjects."

"Those who submit to me, I will protect with the glory of the Empire, and they will prosper for generations!"

"I will establish an alliance!"

"Unite all forces that can be united; from now on, there will be no more oppression!"

The old Tivan knelt.

What glory of the Empire?

It was just new enslavement!

But that didn’t change the fact that all the Tivan knelt down, offering pious blessings.

"Great Lucas!"

"Great new Empire!"

The mountain-shaking and tsunami-like sounds of worship resounded throughout the entire planet.

Lucas hovered in mid-air, the ramparts of the Empire floating behind him.

...

Orantis became the first cornerstone of Lucas’s new Empire.

He did not send overseers to enslave the Tivan.

Quite the contrary.

He gave the Tivan unprecedented treatment.

He retained the Tivan’s autonomy, allowed them to develop their own civilization under the Empire’s framework, and signed a treaty of non-interference in development.

He even selected a few gentle-tempered Viltrumites from his followers to stay behind as Guardians to protect the planet from foreign enemies.

Of course, the main task was proliferation.

Leaving a few on every planet, the fifty thousand Viltrumites had to explode in population to hundreds of thousands, or even millions.

"Thragg, is it!"

"When the time comes, millions of people will crush you!"

In fact, Thragg didn’t have such a big face.

It was mainly because since he had come to the world of invincible, Lucas felt he should have some of his own famine... career!
