Looking down from above.
Two streaks of Speed Force lightning were racing furiously through the streets and alleys of the city.
Kid Flash Wally West and his archenemy The Rival were evenly matched in speed, and neither could suppress the other.
The battle was exceptionally intense.
In the shadow of a street corner not far away, Barry Allen was wearing casual clothes, watching from the dark with gratification, as if admiring the perfect World he had crafted with his own hands.
Wally had become the Flash of this city, and without having to do anything himself, all crimes could be resolved.
Suddenly, as if sensing something, Barry instinctively raised his head and happened to see Lucas with his hands in his pockets.
"What?"
Barry’s face froze, looking utterly bewildered.
Swish!
Before Barry could rub his eyes to confirm, Lucas’s figure appeared by his side out of thin air, as if teleporting. He had swiped a hamburger from the hands of some passerby, unwrapped the paper package, and taken a bite.
"Long time no see, Barry. Hiding in the corner playing Galaga?"
"Why are you here?!" Barry was so startled he almost bolted. "Are you the Lucas from the original World? No, that’s not right! This is... No, you absolutely shouldn’t be here!"
This was another timeline!
How could Lucas possibly be powerful enough to span across timelines?
This was no different from playing Valorant and having the opponent crawl across the network cable to slap him across the face.
"Give it up, officer! The outside is filled with the Speed Force, and you’ve been surrounded!"
Lucas took a bite of the juicy hamburger.
Beef burgers tasted better than chicken leg burgers!
"S-Speed Force?"
Barry’s legs went even softer.
"Just the second day after you opened the Flashpoint, I was dragged into the Speed Force by the scruff of the neck. They talked about bonds and stuff, then tossed me over here, telling me to persuade you, this runaway rebellious son, to go back to your own World early!"
"Seriously, Barry!"
"Playing too much Galaga will damage your brain and impair your judgment of real relationships!"
Barry’s eyes flickered, and his expression remained stubborn. "I won’t go back... Here, both my parents are alive and well, and we have dinner together every day. This is the life I deserve, Lucas!"
"I have no objections to that, but since the Speed Force is the boss, I’m in a very difficult position too, officer!"
It seemed as if to punish Barry.
At a certain moment, The Rival’s red lightning suddenly accelerated.
Wally could have dodged The Rival’s attack, but the opponent caught an opening. With a high-frequency vibrating hand-blade, The Rival cruelly pierced through Wally’s chest, shredding his heart into minced meat on the spot.
The Rival even hoisted Wally into mid-air, his hand-blade cutting continuously to hack off all of Wally’s limbs.
"No! Wally!"
Barry’s pupils suddenly contracted. He completely didn’t expect this scene, and the Flashpoint energy on his body violently burst forth.
He transformed into a stream of light and sent The Rival flying with a single punch.
But when he cradled Wally in his arms, his little brother had already become a human torso with no limbs left, not even a shred of consciousness remaining.
That’s ruthless!
Lucas clicked his tongue in endless amazement.
The big boss was exerting force; the Speed Force was punishing Barry.
"It shouldn’t be like this... It shouldn’t! The World line shouldn’t be like this!" Barry hugged Wally’s corpse, tears instantly streaming down his face as he screamed hysterically.
Lucas strolled over leisurely. "Wally isn’t dead. Everything here may be very real, but it’s just a pocket Universe. The Speed Force is punishing you, kid!"
"If you change a fixed point, time will drag you into the abyss in an even more brutal way!"
"Don’t forget the fate of the Reverse-Flash. Although he created many time remnants, every single one of them died a miserable death!"
"This isn’t fair!" Barry roared up at the sky.
"Of course it isn’t fair, but this is your destiny. Want to break your destiny? It’s not time yet. You just have to endure it. Go back before the impact spreads any further!"
Lucas pressed down on Barry’s shoulder. "Otherwise... in a moment, it might not just be one Wally who dies, but Iris West, Joe, Caitlin Snow, Cisco Ramon..."
Barry clenched his teeth tightly, looked up at The Rival, and the grief in his eyes turned into anger.
He gently laid down Wally’s corpse, instantly transforming into lightning as he roared out. The Rival turned and fled, but Barry pursued relentlessly.
Lucas squatted down, watching with his own eyes as Wally turned into lingering light and vanished bit by bit.
"See you in another timeline!"
He flew high into the sky, scanned Central City once, and saw where the Reverse-Flash was imprisoned. Barry had used a high-voltage grid and a specially made super-alloy cage to lock the Reverse-Flash inside.
This prevented the opponent from traveling out.
Even though the Reverse-Flash had killed Barry’s mother countless times, the kind-hearted little Flash never killed this archenemy. It was hard to evaluate.
Swish!
Lucas practically crashed physically into the prison, the alloy iron door being deformed by sheer pressure.
Hearing the sound, the Reverse-Flash abruptly opened his eyes.
When he saw Lucas’s face clearly, this supervillain who had traveled through time and space countless times unprecedentedly took a few steps back, hiding in the deepest corner.
A trace of extreme fear faintly flickered in his eyes.
"You... why are you here?"
The Reverse-Flash’s voice even became somewhat shrill: "You shouldn’t have appeared! In the spacetime bifurcation of the Flashpoint, there are no variables belonging to you at all! You monster shouldn’t exist here!"
"A lot of people have said this sentence to me today. Unexpectedly, even the renowned Professor Thawne knows me?"
Lucas raised an eyebrow: "It seems that in a future timeline, we must have met, and the impression I left on you was quite profound, right?"
The Reverse-Flash stared at him fixedly, his chest heaving violently, yet he couldn’t say a single word.
Of course he knew the man in front of him.
In the future spacetime, Lucas, who bore the title of Regent, possessed unquestionable tyrannical strength.
Not a single Meta-human could last five rounds under his command, not even the Speedster family.
In the future timeline, many Supe criminals were forced to not stay and fled successively to past eras, committing crimes in timelines where the Guardian did not exist.
Although they would face the legends’ pursuit, opposing legends was still much better than being thrown into the Sun by the Regent.
When hunting down the Flash, the Reverse-Flash had even specifically consulted the Guardian Museum and accurately calculated the time node of Lucas’s existence.
Yet he never expected that Lucas would forcefully barge into the Flashpoint!
"Tsk tsk! There must be an intense story between us, but I have no interest in understanding it right now. Just wait, your archenemy is about to let you out soon, and I’ll just hitch a ride."
Lucas leaned against the wall, poking holes in the prison with his finger.
The prison that trapped the Reverse-Flash to death was, to Lucas, as soft as cardboard.
The Reverse-Flash hid in the furthest corner, curling up into a tiny ball—weak, helpless, and pitiful!
