Chapter 590 - 586: Yun Hao Gets Beaten Again
In the courtyard, Xu Wenwan pinned Yun Hao down and gave him a savage beating.
Yun Hao tried to fight back, but Xu Wenwan was now as strong as an ox. His struggles were as feeble as a chick’s in her grasp, and she easily pinned him to the ground.
Even so, Yun Hao remained defiant. He kept spewing vulgar curses and even threatened to go to Jubao and report her. Hearing this, Xu Wenwan’s heart sank.
’No one else can find out about this, or I’ll be in serious trouble.’
A glint flashed in her eyes, and in the next moment, she smashed her fist into Yun Hao’s mouth.
The force of the blow crushed his teeth against his lips, and his mouth swelled up instantly. Yun Hao’s mind went blank. When he came to, he tasted blood. He spat out a mouthful of bloody saliva, mixed with three of his front teeth.

"AAARGH..."
A distorted scream escaped Yun Hao’s mouth. Impatiently, Xu Wenwan slapped him across the face. The blow was so forceful that it left his head ringing again.
"Shut up. Keep making noise and I’ll beat you to death."
Yun Hao glared at Xu Wenwan with pure fury, wishing he could kill her.
Xu Wenwan sneered. ’With the Power Pill, what have I got to be afraid of?’ She immediately slapped the other side of his face.
Yun Hao’s head was ringing for quite a while. ’I don’t doubt it for a second,’ he thought. ’One more slap and she’ll beat me stupid.’
He couldn’t beat her in a fight, nor could he win a war of words. He was finally afraid.
Yun Hao lowered his head, not daring to make another peep.
Xu Wenwan slapped him on the head again.
Yun Hao’s vision went black and he almost passed out. Still, he managed to demand of Xu Wenwan, "I wasn’t talking just now, so why did you hit me again?"
Xu Wenwan thought for a moment, then gave her answer: "I hit you because I felt like it. I don’t need a reason."
With that, she stood up. She casually adjusted her collar, smoothed her sleeves, and ran a hand through her hair. Once she was sure everything was in place, she turned and left.
Hearing the door next door close, the neighbors expertly scattered. They all returned to their positions, pretending as if nothing had happened.
Most courtyard walls were low, so one could see everything happening inside with just a glance.
However, their houses were near the village entrance, where it was more dangerous if wild boars came down from the mountains, so their walls had been built a bit higher.
But the main gate had cracks, and if Xu Wenwan passed by, she would spot them eavesdropping at a glance.
That would not be good.
However, after the neighbors scattered, they didn’t see Xu Wenwan. Instead, they heard a loud THUD from the house next door.
The neighbors were startled for a moment. ’Something must have fallen,’ they figured, and paid it no mind.
