Chapter 723 - 389: Long Time No See
Yang An immediately unleashed his White Feathers, bombarding the wooden door like bullets.
But what followed was a series of CLANGING sounds as sparks flew from the wooden door. Despite the dense barrage of White Feathers, it remained completely unscathed.
It was less a wooden door and more an incredibly hard steel one. Even his White Feathers couldn’t damage it. Yang An’s brow furrowed.
The door had a lock—the old-fashioned kind that could be opened from the outside as long as it wasn’t bolted from within.
After a moment’s hesitation, Yang An walked to the door, placed his hand on the handle, and gave it a hard twist.
CLICK!
With the crisp click of the lock, the wooden door came loose. Yang An slowly pushed it open. Countless White Feathers shot into the room first, but nothing happened.
But when Yang An stepped inside and saw the scene before him, he couldn’t help but narrow his eyes.
’What... is going on?’
Before him was a familiar scene, a place he had just passed through... another old residential complex!
Yang An took two steps back and looked out the window. The complex outside was now a desolate wasteland, identical in layout to the one that had appeared behind the door. But there was a difference: this side was desolate, while the other was neat and tidy, clearly showing signs of life.
The door he had just opened was, surprisingly, the door to the security booth at the complex’s entrance.
After thinking for a couple of seconds, countless thoughts flashed through Yang An’s mind, and he felt he understood what was happening.
If he wasn’t mistaken, the 6th Floor was still the 6th Floor. Pan Yu’s Illusion Realm hadn’t overlapped with it, but had instead connected to the 6th Floor—and even to Broken Armor—through this very door, forming a mirror world or a perfectly corresponding one.

In other words, between the 6th Floor and Broken Armor, there existed another place: Pan Yu’s Illusion Realm.
The world behind the door was the Illusion Realm he had entered before—the very place where Pan Yu was.
Realizing this, Yang An didn’t hesitate. He backed out of the doorway and immediately used his mask to return to Broken Armor.
If he could truly enter Pan Yu’s Illusion Realm from here, then Pan Yu might be nearby in Broken Armor.
Unsure if he could still use his mask’s abilities inside the Illusion Realm, Yang An didn’t dare to enter rashly.
If he couldn’t escape from the Illusion Realm, unexpected problems could arise, and that would be trouble.
However, upon returning to Broken Armor, he was met with a pitch-black darkness. Even when he gathered the light from his White Feathers, he saw that the surroundings were completely empty. Yang An was stunned.
The vast Sansong Mountain had vanished without a trace, to say nothing of Pan Yu and the others.
Broken Armor was still Broken Armor, but there was nothing here.
Using the light from his feathers, Yang An searched the area but came up empty-handed.
"Looks like I have no choice but to enter the Illusion Realm."
Taking a deep breath, Yang An returned to the 6th Floor. He quickly arrived back at the door to Room 510, pushed it open, and stepped inside.
The door closed automatically behind him, but Yang An discovered that he could still open it and return to the world of the 6th Floor. Only then did he feel relieved.
The complex was lit up. Under the dim yellow streetlights, every inch of the ground spoke of the liveliness that usually filled this place.
Yang An tiptoed into the building. The hallway lights flickered on, following his footsteps. He reached the same Room 510 without any obstruction.
KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK!
Almost immediately, a voice from inside called out in response.
"Who is it?"
Hearing this voice, Yang An felt a sense of relief, but at the same time, his guard went up again.
Because that voice belonged to the very person he had been looking for, someone he hadn’t seen in a long time.
