The Economics of Prophecy

2 Stories: Preliminary Magic Dorm

Me and Meer came with Fulsey in a characteristic facility surrounded by three buildings surrounding the spire. It was the smallest back building that Fulsey had invited against two shameless buildings on the table named 'Kingdom Sorcery Dorm'.

The stone corridor. It's reminiscent of the college curator's office somewhere. But......

"Cold!? Are you okay, here?"

The droplets that fell from the gap in the ceiling stained the muzzle. Stone buildings are certainly not breathable and moisture can accumulate easily in some places. But isn't that a water leak?

"I don't have a choice. The third building is in a remote area."

"Curator, no, Master Great Sage. What's your title in court?

"I'm an honorary consultant to the Magic Dorm."

"I'll only honor you in a way that respects your form, so don't ever go out until you talk to me."

"Well yeah. By the way, before the western warcraft flood, there was nothing special or honorable."

Fulsey said it was obvious. Well, this is the kind of personality that makes me easy to stick with...

"So, he said he was rarely asked to talk to me this time"

"Bye. An observatory opened in the West seems to be suffering from noise. Handle the high accuracy of the measuring paper developed by Nong. The more precise it is, the more delicate the operation is required.... If Non doesn't care, use Grand Duke or Princess or the Third Prince's Conne. Now the door to the first building will open. I don't know after it opens."

"That's too conspicuous. The curator or so is just fine. Because I get it. Uh, you were in the middle of explaining here. The magic dorm is so secretive, I can barely get any information from the outside. Because only a wise man can count on you."

"Lift it or drop it. Unite it. Damn it, Meer, if it weren't for you, I'd be stuck.... okay, you know the demand for witchcraft is almost limited to the Knights"

"I know because I actually saw it."

I remember the glowing armor and weapons of the Knights. A light-borne sword that pierces hard scales. I just touched it and it's going to sever my arm or so. And a knight who moves lightly in armor covering his entire body. A shield that even withstands dragon attacks. Above all, it was a level of precision that I didn't think belonged to this world.

"I thought such a handy thing would be a waste of exclusivity for the Knights, for a reason."

"Well, there are two main reasons why the use of magic is limited. One is the user's qualities. Let's know this."

I've heard that many times. Besides the few people who can handle magic, each person with qualities is also biased towards their area of expertise. Alfina and the crystal of prophecy are the best. Fulsey also specializes in measurements.

Finally, the qualified are heavily biased against those of aristocratic origin. The secret needs to be revealed sometime.

"The other is the scarcity of materials and sources of magic that react to magic. I don't use that much magic to observe. When used as a sword or armor, it uses a large amount of material and magic. On the contrary, it doesn't mean you can't do it without magic."

"I realized half of that, too"

They gave me the sword the prince was spinning with one hand, and my hand was about to plunge into the ground. Even the qualifiers weigh twice as much if they don't let magic flow through them with demonic crystals, and another couple times more if they're unqualified. I mean, the sword they can wield with about a pet bottle weighs ten kilos on me.

"Why would you want to treat something special like that?"

"That's what I think when I look at the dragon's magic operations."

If we can apply it industrially by using magic only at the point, it should create enormous value......

"I wanted to see the dragon too..."

"No, no, you're not there. I'm worried about my goddaughter who went to the dead end. More than that, it's material first. I want you to tell me about the metal that makes a sturdy sword like that idiot."

I turned to Fulsey, who looked at me in resentment.

"... I'll tell you what, if it's based on the Prince's sword, I'd be disappointed. Well, let me explain that to the alchemist I'm going to introduce."

"When you say alchemist?

In the original world, when I tried to ask about the no. 1 profession of nagging, from across the hallway, there was a footstep called Patapata.

"Dear Great Sage!!

A girl in a light brown robe comes running this way as she jumps up the hood.

About the same age? It's a bob-cut with a blue-haired tip like a sickle. What's so exciting about running, even though it's a small, hard to see body lines?

"Oh Noel. I was just telling you about him."

"It's an honor to be asked to help in the name of the Great Sage."

A magician called Noel? saw Fulsey with respect. And then he turned to us.

"So what is this civilian? If you have luggage, just tell me..."

It was like looking at things. It is down to the temperature of the tone. I guess this isn't the guy to introduce you.

"What will you say to Non's valued apprentice and assistant?"

"Apprentice…. Assistant…"

When Fulsey stopped, Noel solidified. And I started to tremble.

"Aren't you a civilian? Besides, I don't feel any qualities at all. Unfortunately, the Great Sage should consider your weight a little more. Continue improving the theory as well as establishing the theory of the Warcraft Flood. Because the magician's star, the wisdom of the kingdom, prevented the last national disaster."

"You heard me, it's Ricardo. This is the right assessment. Normally, you don't want to just give me knowledge."

The wise man combed his beard proudly. I'm not complaining about Fulsey's ratings, but it was me and Meer who lent their wisdom to the improvement.

"Oh, did you rant like that? To the Great Sage, who was awarded the Baroness for his dragon crusade, a civilian."

"Hey curator. A magic dorm is, in short, like a state-managed guild of magicians, and magicians are like knights and many of them are from aristocracy. Is the baron that great?"

"By way of example, he said to make a statement that neither common sense nor air knew. You, no matter how hard your back shield is, you're gonna die one day."

Fulsey sighed. No, that's environmental problems. I've been having suspicious feelings around here lately, and I'm worried about you conservatively.

"Even the Knights, the First Knights and the Second and Third Knights have different sequences. And this is the third building. Don't make me tell you later. Well, thanks to you, there's a lot more going on."

Apparently, the magic dorm also has a lot of politics. This is an area that cannot be expected of Fulsey.

"... Anyway. This is the alchemist this girl's gonna introduce us to."

I can only hope to see the skill purely. I checked with Fulsey.

"Well, Noel's a little weird. Talented. You don't have a good daughter who understands what's going on."

What a college. He's the only student who came to ask questions after researching Fulsey's active years of research. I'm calling it a classmate pulling into a magic dorm. Well, can you expect a little?

"Eh, we..."

"Don't take it personally because you don't even know the power of seniors."

"What are you...? Sounds better than the guy there...... You're not a civilian either."

When I tried to explain why I was here, Meer came to Noel. Two girls stare at each other. That's unusual for Meer. You don't think I care about chest disparities.

"Wait, wait, uh, you make and maintain Knights gear. Well, in short, it's like a blacksmith dedicated to the Knights."

"Or a blacksmith...... Don't go with such a barbaric profession!!

I spoke in as friendly a tone as possible. But Noel looked away at my words. First contact failure by example.

But a savage profession? If you're from a nobleman, that might be the standard way to put it, but that sucks given the purpose of this one.

"Curator"

"What?"

"In change"

"Give it up. I chose this to still seem to suit you best. Anyway, Non is busy. Ask Noel later."

Oh, my God. Fulsey looked back towards the entrance.

"Well, you're not leaving this situation behind."

"Told you. We have to lend wisdom to the men in the second wing about the Western observatory. If not, I don't want to miss this funny thing. Meer, tell me more about today's story later."

"Do something like a victim. I told you to hurry, but you said the experiment was an inch away. No, you can't discuss it in this situation."

"Hmm, don't bother with that. All right, all right. Noel."

"Yes."

To Fulsey's voice, Noel became upright immobile. Really easy to understand.

"Treat these two as if they were proxies of Non. Besides, Meer, whatever you are, this guy is horrible because of his looks and his standpoint. The hostile are erased from the surface stage one after the other…. Well, I asked for that anyway."

"Why did I bother to add such a noisy introduction? Hey, wait..."

Fulsey gently raised one hand and left the field early.

"Civilians represent the wise..."

All that was left was Meer on the top of the Buddha. And it was me holding my head in front of a super difficult communication event.
