The Economics of Prophecy

Eight stories, the strength of simplicity.

"It's more like a jet head than a Shinkansen."

On a swinging horse I snapped. New gymnastics ribbon yet a giant white mite that rotates the spiral of red light on the body surface.

Right now, I was heading west with it. I take enough distance, but I feel terrified that a giant object is moving in a ground.

Fortunately, the speed is slower than the carriage. If this had been horseless speed, I would have had no hands or feet. Thanks to you, even a two-person horseback ride can get you past enough.

Because the Knights have some of the best riders manipulating the prince's changing horse.

By way of example, I'm just sticking around back there. You have no choice, because you're a civilian.

"Stand up!"

Unlike civilians, it's the Knights who don't go away. Squeeze your bow on the horse as you line up and approach the moving body Slug. In a way, it would be the ultimate appearance of something called organization.

Opposite is the most primitive tissue that is moving with just one signal. Words aside, the nervous system doesn't even exist. A mass of fungus that is not even an animal.

"Attack initiated!

An arrow is released towards the head. Because of the glow, it should be turning off the magic gold, but the rotating head flies it. Well, that would destroy about the walls of the castle. If they break into the city......

One village has already been cut off half of it. It was helpful because the evacuation was complete and the viscous bacteria did not aggressively attack people. I guess it's a priority for them to move to the magical one.

Aim for the torso.

Craig's instructions fly. A Knights unit lined up in a wedge shape penetrates the white torso. A blind warcraft, but only slightly approaching the Knights if they react to magic. But that's all. The speared knights stick it to their defenseless torso at the right time.

A viscous fungus that swayed its body like it had been attacked and wandered. White fragments splash like bumps. Several knights are shaken off horses.

But the Warcraft kept moving forward, as if nothing had happened. Some parts of my body have been scraped, but I don't feel comfortable passing through. I don't have any pain. To the extent that only a few individuals were killed, even if shredded, to make up them?

The next unit heads to the slug to replace it. The horse is pulling from the left and right on the pointed round-tails ahead. A broken castle hammer is a broken castle hammer. Two round-tails stormed the torso of the viscous fungus so as to timing it.

Some, about 10%, of the body of sticky bacteria splashed along with the sound of Visha. The knights cheer. But a thousand cuts. The body quickly changes shape to another one of the slugs. And when the little numekji approached the body as if nothing had happened, he quickly returned to the whole thing.

The path was slightly off, and a unit of the Knights who tried to do it collapsed in formation.

"I knew it..."

There is no clear directive structure, too simple and primitive a mechanism through self-organization. I guess even the slime at the center of that red spiral is just one at first. It's no different that the center of the ice crystal is just a water molecule the same as the end.

Even if I crushed my head, the rest of it would soon become my head. Simple, primitive, that's why strength is there.

"Ricardo's right, you're not one giant warcraft, you're a bunch of mucuses. Fortunately, we were able to crush the three before the rally, but even the two are a major threat. Yeah, but I didn't know the attack meant anything."

"One of the southern ones is still in Bertoldo?

"Well, it looks like we're changing course to the north one by one as we head west"

We were having a meeting in the tent of the camp. Two pawns placed on the map. Instead of heading straight for Bertoldo, he seems to be gradually changing his angle.

Thanks to you, we can get ahead of ourselves in our quest for a straight Bertoldo. By the way, most of the transport units have Bertoldo going straight to them. Radar carriages with Meer and Fulsey and Noel on board also accompany it.

If the Knights ignore the moving bodies too, they can get ahead of Bertoldo. But that's how I challenge you from the front and you don't have a chance.

"Ricardo said he had something to be sure of."

"Yes."

The question is why the moving body is going for Bertoldo. The reason for heading west is simple. The original world's viscous fungus only seeks light. The purpose of creating a mobile body is to fragment the spores in search of a new environment from a baitless environment, and for that reason they aim at the ground.

So how about this warcraft sticky fungus? Magic, or the red forest to the west, looks more like a destination than you are looking west with your major muscles. But both the one I saw earlier, and the one traveling south, look angularly aimed at Bertoldo. Unlike during the slime, the knight's dull response to the magic weapon would prefer for the Warcraft a magic mixed with cluttered wavelengths, or chi, to the regular magic power controlled by man.

Then there is a reason not to simply head straight west. Anyway, it's a scale on the map. There's not even a small chance that one happens to hit Bertoldo, it's unlikely that two will be attracted.

"The moving body seems to be slowing down."

Hyde said.

"I knew it..."

I mean, it's being guided by something. I thought about control from the imperials in the King's Capital, but then it's unnatural to get away from the King's Capital and increase speed.

The easiest part is that Bertoldo has some kind of sticky fungus to attract. It is sown in Bertoldo with something like a chemical that attracts mucus bacteria besides magic. It's a story that you might have if you think of the moth pheromones, but I don't see why the mucus bacteria move by integrating the two types of information.

"Speaking of which, the destroyed building where Alfina was..."

I remember the first image I asked Alfina. Destroyed were the walls, the cathedral and the workshop where the smoke was rising............

I saw a map of the city of Bertoldo. Assuming this destruction is the one that broke through the walls near the East Gate... The three locations are not in a straight line. It's a curved arrangement. Then the deepest part is the workshop.

"... did the Empire calculate that far"

Nothing if you notice. It was the wood in Bertoldo that was attracting the Warcraft. For example, salmon say it divides the subtle smell of the river and returns to its hometown river. It doesn't seem like messy magic to us, or strange to the Warcraft to be sensing the subtle features of the wavelength spectrum.

In other words, it is attracted to the faint magic emitted by the timber of the Empire, the homeland.

"So the wood from the Empire in Bertoldo is attracting the Warcraft."

"Probably for sure. This is an opportunity. If you take him backwards, it's not hard to defy the attack from Bertoldo in itself"

If you take it out of the city with the Knights and Bertoldo's ability to transport it, you can deflect the path of the moving body. But there are two problems.

One is what happens at the end of the deviated path. Of course, it's Bertoldo's safety as a matter of priority. If Bertoldo is crushed, the whole western part of the kingdom will be affected. Given the hostility of the Empire, it cannot be compared to one or two of the villages. But I want to avoid it if I can.

I think desperately as I look at the village of Leiria on the map.

The other is what the sticky fungus will do after it reaches the wood. And make it a new land, and make a child entity, and scatter spores? Or as it were, going into the west woods? If the latter, I am afraid of the effects on the western forest ecosystem.

In any case, there will be a large number of species that have never been in the West Forest before. There is ample chance that we will no longer be able to predict the Warcraft Flood.

"If you can just stop the movement, it's not impossible to shred it."

Craig said. The moving body is that spiralling magic signal that controls the group of individuals. Then, if you stop that spiral, you stop moving too.

But even if we stop, that spiral is self-organizing reconstituted. Based on the slight signal deviation of the uniform individual, the slight difference in density between individuals, and the wobble that said so, a new helix is created in a self-organized way.

"Can't you think of anything to stop the activity of the Warcraft, like the array fed to the Dragon"

"You'll never expect that kind of luck again."

It is emitting a red signal, or interferes with the receiving mechanism itself. If I could do that, I might break it down into pieces of slime. Specific antibodies or compounds? Even with the original world pharmaceutical company-level facilities, it may take some time on an annual basis.

When it comes to magic itself, I think about ways to explore doing it in an organized way. But it takes the same amount of time. We can't make it to the Warcraft, which reaches Bertoldo in a few days. And two.

"Seriously. It might be convenient to say that there are two of them."

It can induce viscous bacteria. Then there is at least a way to temporarily erase that helix. However, even if that works, eventually the moving body will come back to life. Besides, it's an outbreak of a supermassive mover in which two movers merge.

The only way to prevent that is to kill them all within a stop. Even if the Knights have a few times more power, they won't be able to do it.

Use terrain? I wouldn't struggle if there was such a natural pitfall. I mean, if it's an array, scrape the ground. But it's going to come out.

"Wait, I'll scrape the ground..."

I remember when I went to Bertoldo first. There's something you can use near Bertoldo.

I looked up from the map.

Looks like you got a plan.

"Pretty rough, though."

The difficulty is high, but it's not an impossible operation if you're capable of transporting Knights Against Warcraft and Bertoldo.

"Please fly the fast horse. I have two favors for the Grand Duke. One is information on the weather in the last few days around Bertoldo. Another thing I want you to collect in Bertoldo..."

I explained what I would communicate in a letter.

"Hmm. How do we move?

"Leave only the troops of surveillance and go straight to Bertoldo for the rest"

Intercept the Warcraft of Disaster in front of Bertoldo. Of course, though I'm not going to fight.
