The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 2740: Are You Really Not Disappointed to Have Chosen Me?

Carson Flores truly didn’t look down on Zorvyn Harrison.

In such a large Sect, yet having such a massive team of Female Immortals, Carson was the first to disbelieve they were all willing. Moreover, Zorvyn Harrison’s casual remark "If I didn’t serve you well, I’ll be punished," inadvertently revealed the truth.

They sit here, accompanying these guests, not because they want to, nor self-indulging, but because they have tasks to fulfill and have no choice but to come!

Carson lacks the ability to help them but he can at least show corresponding respect to the maidens beside him.

Carson never intended to take advantage of the maiden’s beauty. Just treat them like waitstaff in a restaurant or hotel; since they served Carson, thanking them is entirely normal.

This is the basic etiquette of someone with manners in the Mortal Realm.

Carson was eating and drinking when a man at the adjacent table turned, glanced at Zorvyn Harrison twice, and gave Carson a smile understood by all men.

"Friend, your luck is pretty terrible!"

Carson turned, glanced at the man, then at the beautiful woman whose slender waist he embraced, and instantly understood the implication behind his words.

Upon entering, everyone chose a small item to determine which maiden would accompany them. Now, Carson’s choice of Zorvyn Harrison, who wasn’t very attractive, naturally seemed like bad luck.

Carson smiled and said, "There’s nothing bad about it... it’s quite good!"

The man tightened his hold around the woman’s waist, seemingly showing off, and laughed heartily.

The beautiful woman snuggled against the man’s chest, smiling sweetly at them, her face blossoming with laughter, very proactive and cooperative.

Carson smiled, remaining silent.

The man asked, "Friend, which Convoker Envoy found you?"

Carson casually answered, "I accidentally acquired my Convoker Token, not given by a Convoker Envoy."

Upon Carson’s words, the man’s eyes revealed a subtle disdain: "Then your luck is quite good. Since you’re here, enjoy it; these opportunities aren’t common."

The man’s words were filled with hidden sarcasm, as those selected by the Convoker Envoy were clearly elite, either powerful or else potential-filled, while Carson, who happened by the Convoker Token, can only be seen as lucky, not comparing to the invited talents.

Not only this man, but many guests around cast glances at Carson, as if looking at a rare animal.

Carson was not angry, calmly smiling, "I just heard that holding the Convoker Token allows one to enjoy freely on the island, so came to see, and it really holds true!"

Carson’s response drew further mocking and disdain from the Immortals observing.

Does this guy not even understand they’re mocking him?

Carson naturally noticed everyone’s expressions around him, yet remained indifferent, withdrawing his gaze to continue eating and drinking.

Just passing strangers, no intention of befriending you, does your gaze really require attention?

The man who previously spoke, seeing Carson ignoring him, coldly muttered, "Expected all attending the Gathering Immortals Assembly to be elites, but didn’t expect lucky freeloaders to be present."

Carson still paid no attention, the man, seeing Carson unmoved, disdainfully snorted and turned away.

Evidently, he already deemed Carson a fortunate but incapable person.

Zorvyn Harrison watched Carson eating and drinking calmly, blinked, and softly apologized, "I’m sorry to have embarrassed you, sir."

Carson turned to smile, "What are you talking about, words are from others’ mouths, what they want to say is their freedom, we just ignore them. Also, don’t just sit idle, grab chopsticks, eat and drink with me. It’s quite boring to eat and drink alone."

Zorvyn Harrison said in surprise, "These are meant for serving guests, we’re here to serve them..."

Carson looked up laughing, "Your task is to care for the guests and meet all their needs. I’m a guest now, can’t I make a request?"

Zorvyn Harrison’s eyes slightly brightened, she already guessed what Carson would say next.

"Yes!"

Carson laughed heartily, "Now that’s right. As a guest, eating and drinking alone is displeasing, I want you to accompany me, as it’s my request. You should meet my request, it doesn’t conflict with the principles of your being here."

After a pause, Carson donned a mischievous expression: "All for the guest, right?"

Zorvyn Harrison pursed her lips, looked at Carson’s smiling eyes, hesitatingly said, "Among the maidens here, each is exquisite, I’m the bottom of the pack. Are you really not disappointed?"

"Disappointed!"

Carson kept a straight face, but couldn’t conceal the smile in his eyes: "I feel hurt now, so to soothe my injured soul, the punishment is your accompaniment to eat meat and drink wine with me..."
